Done Water Sport/Mud Sport + Baton Pass in oldgens

Mud Sport and Water Sport do appear to be effects that Baton Pass can transfer in Gen 3 according to pret Emerald disassembly. The old UPC pages also say they're Baton Passable in that generation. UPC also says they're Baton Passable in Gen 4, but not in Gen 5. It's not clear enough to me from the HGSS pret disassembly if they are Baton Passable in Gen 4. It will warrant extra tests.

EDIT: did those extra tests
Gen 3 (Emerald): Can be Baton Passed
Gen 4 (SoulSilver): Can be Baton Passed
Gen 5 (White 2): Cannot be Baton Passed
