Water Team - please help me

This is the first team I post in this forum. Please help me improving it, this is NOT the final team and I’m open to all kind of changes before I start training it on the DS – at the moment I’m testing it on Shoddy, and I need a status absorber. I like mono type team because you have to think a lot about it and plan everything in your team, from avoiding common weaknesses to what off-type Pokémon to use. Also, please excuse me if I cannot answer soon to your posts because I can use Internet only about 1 hour a day an also for any grammatical error I make – I’m Italian and so English is not my first language.

THE TEAM:

PHYSICAL TANK

Swampert@Leftovers
Impish (252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def)
Torrent
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Protect
My leader. Scouts attacks with protect, sets rocks and attacks. Protect also gives him extra lefties recovery. His electricity immunity cover his team mates’ weaknesses. SR helps my team weakening the opponent, and so helping Lanturn and Empoleon sweeping. EQ and SE to cover types, SE over the classic avalanche to counter opponent Gyara – I already have enough ice attacks and SE can give me an edge over opponents predicting it’s the usual Swampy set.

SPECIAL SPONGE

Lanturn@Leftovers
Calm (252 HP/76 SpA/182 SpD)
Volt Absorb
-Charge
-Thunder
-Surf
-Rain Dance

Special sponge. The idea here is to RD to make thunder more accurate, boost surf, help Kingdra, Gyara and Rosie and to cancel the opponent’s weather condition, if any. Charge to boost both special defense and thunder. Its best feature is volt absorb: when I’m using Gyara or Empoleon and I predict an electric attack I just switch Lanturn in; the only problem is my opponent outpredicting me and using EQ on my switch.

PHYSICAL SWEEPER
dpmfa130.png

Gyarados@Life Orb
Adamant (252 Atk/226 Spe/32 HP)
Intimidate
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Waterfall
Physical sweeper. DD, then smash everything you can. 32 HP EVs are to minimize life orb’s damage (with 32 EVs Gyara reaches 339 HP, for 33 rounded-down recoil damage) If you predict an electric attack coming, just switch to Lanturn. The moves hits for neutral damage almost every Pokémon except for Shedinja and I should kill that annoying ghost/bug anyway with SR... Usually I use him as a late-game sweeper, because life orb can sometimes damage him too much (but surely will damage my opponent’s Pokémon!)

SPECIAL TANK

Empoleon@Leftovers
Calm (252 HP/208 SpD/50 SpA)
Torrent
-Yawn
-Protect
-Flash Cannon
-Surf

I like using Empoleon to stall my opponent with yawn/protect, attack, and PHaze my opponent. The EVs are divided in this way because with 208 EVs in SpD I get a bonus SpD point and with 50 SpA EVs I dish out a little more damage. Also I’m not so sure about Flash cannon, I use it to abuse STAB, but I’m thinking of replacing it with grass knot or ice beam to cover other types.

MIXED SWEEPER
dpmfa230.png

Kingdra@Wet Rock
Lonely (252 SpA/222 Atk/36 Spe)
Swift Swim
-Waterfall
-Ice Beam
-Draco Meteor
-Rain Dance

I admit – this is not an idea of mine. I copied it from this site, changing only the EVS and an attack – but I think this moveset is perfect for my team, because I need a mixed sweeper to kill Bliss when Gyara’s gone. Once it’s raining, Kingdra is able to sweep entire teams with IB and boosted waterfall, and draco meteor to destroy everything who can survive the other moves.

SPECIAL SWEEPER

Roserade@Choice Specs
Timid (252 SpA/252 Spe/6 HP)
Natural Cure
-Sludge Bomb
-Weather Ball
-Shadow Ball
-Leaf Storm

Pseudo-revenge killer and special sweeper. I use Rosie to damage seriously some poke and then I switch out. I’ve also tried wise glasses, focus sash and choice scarf and I’m still unsure on the item, because I don’t like getting stuck with a move – but who likes it? But Specs can make this little flower even scarier than SpecsMence thanks to the highest SpA... I’ve chosen Rosie for the last slot because she resists both electricity and grass, but I think she’s the most changeable poke – in her place I’ve already used Scizor and Gliscor – but I like her a lot.

Thank you if you have read everything... now that I’ve bored you, if you’re still awake and not sleeping on the computer, please help me with my team – it’s not perfect, and I know that I can improve it a lot, especially with the help of battlers who are more experienced than me (almost everyone here).

Hmmm, return on Gyarados? i think you should give it Stone Edge for opposing Gyarados or Ice Fang for the Dragons. And maybe Energy Ball on Roserade instead of Weather Ball, though i see where you're going with that

Roserade wasn't suppose to be water type...

I recommend Electrivire > Roserade because you will get plenty of chances for his motor drive ability

I would recommend Dugtrio over Roserade. I don't really like the idea of '
E-vire cuz all it does is chase away the pokemon using the electric type move, whereas Dugtrio can trap and probably kill (especially if it is an electric type).

well, as there also blisseys with t wave, theres plenty of blissey with counter as well, some electric pokes pack sash JUST because of things like dugtrio, and pack HP Ice or some other move that has just the same amount of chance to take down duggy. Makes me think that stealth rock is a good idea. [yes, i saw that he has s rock, but theres plenty of rapid spinners for every spiker]
