[SET COMMENTS]
Rotom-W is a defensive pivot that takes advantage of its good defensive stats, typing, and ability. Volt Switch allows Rotom-W to pivot out, letting its frailer offensive teammates in without fear of taking a substantial amount of damage. Hydro Pump synergizes well with Volt Switch, punishing Ground-types like Ting-Lu and Great Tusk. Pain Split serves as a semi-reliable recovery option that lets it more consistently check threats like Great Tusk, Gliscor, and Darkrai throughout the course of a game. It also uses defensive Pokemon like Galarian Slowking and Blissey as an opportunity to get back to full health due to the staggering differences in health. Will-O-Wisp is used with the physically defensive set in order to cripple physical threats like Kingambit, Weavile, and Dragonite, and Thunder Wave is used with the specially defensive spread to cripple fast special attackers like Darkrai, Dragapult, and Walking Wake. Leftovers is run to give Rotom-W additional passive recovery, but Rocky Helmet can also be used on physically defensive sets in order to punish contact attackers like Landorus-T, Cinderace, and Zamazenta. Both spreads run 44 Speed EVs to outspeed Jolly Kingambit. Tera Steel is used to gain a Toxic immunity, letting it completely wall Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Gliscor, Dragonite, and Clodsire, with the added perks of resisting Freeze-Dry and therefore allowing it to check Kyurem. Tera Fairy grants Rotom-W resistances to Dark- and Fighting-type attacks, allowing it to more easily inflict status on and check Pokemon like Roaring Moon, Zamazenta, and Weavile.

Rotom-W best fits on balance and bulky offense teams utilizing pivoting cores like Landorus-T on bulky offense and Galarian Slowking on balance to make progress. Rotom-W is able to threaten Gliscor and Corviknight for Landorus-T, and Landorus-T is able to alleviate the Raging Bolt matchup, as well as checking Zamazenta. Rotom-W helps Galarian Slowking by switching into Ground-types like Landorus-T and Great Tusk that Galarian Slowking hates facing, and Galarian Slowking is able to check threats such as Kyurem's special attacking variants, Ogerpon, and Serperior for it. Gliscor is able to set Spikes, which stacks up chip alongside Rotom-W's frequent pivoting, and Swords Dance variants greatly appreciate Rotom-W being able to take on Corviknight and Skarmory for it. Bulky Grass-types like Amoonguss and Sinistcha are excellent partners because they are able to take on Ogerpon-W, which can switch in on Hydro Pump and threaten Rotom-W with Power Whip or Encore. Rotom-W is able to return the favor by checking Weavile and Fire-types like Heatran and Moltres for them. Garganacl is another good partner for Rotom-W, as Rotom-W can threaten Ground-types like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu that Garganacl struggles against, while Garganacl can stack chip damage through Stealth Rock and Salt Cure, as well as checking threats like Dragapult and Kyurem. Ting-Lu fits with physically defensive Rotom-W on balance teams to check Ghost-types like Gholdengo and Dragapult, since Dragapult resists both of Rotom-W's STAB moves and can threaten it back with Choice Specs-boosted Draco Meteor or Shadow Ball, while Gholdengo has enough natural special bulk to avoid the 2HKO from Hydro Pump and is immune to Rotom-W's status moves. Dragapult and Gholdengo themselves work well with Rotom-W because it can spread status effectively for both Pokemon to fire off boosted Hex later, which is especially good since Rotom-W also cripples Dark-types like Kingambit and Darkrai. Tinkaton can also work well with Rotom-W as a hazard setter that can punish setup sweepers and check Kyurem without needing to use Terastallization on Rotom-W.

Rotom-W is a defensive pivot who takes advantage of its good defensive stats and the combination of an Electric/Water typing with its ability Levitate. Volt Switch allows Rotom-W to pivot out, letting its frailer offensive teammates in without fear of taking a substantial amount of damage. Hydro Pump synergizes well with Volt Switch, washing horrible pun 0/10 qc rejected immediately away Ground-types who are immune to Volt Switch bar Water Absorb Clodsire examples, and water absorb clod isn't viable (bar some recent meta development i am unaware of). Pain Split serves as semi-reliable recovery for Rotom-W, allowing it to check threats like Roaring Moon you can't really switch into rmoon since it 2hkos you with knock after ddancing on the switch (and taunt crumples you), Gliscor, remove comma, fix grammar etc and Darkrai throughout the course of a game. It also uses defensive Pokemon like Galarian Slowking and Blissey as an opportunity to get back to full health due to the staggering differences in health. Will-O-Wisp is used with the physically defensive set in order to cripple physical threats like Kingambit, Weavile, and Dragonite, and Thunder Wave is used with the specially defensive spread since its aim isn't necessarily to check physical threats, and Thunder Wave cripples to cripple you can really shorten this fast special attackers like Darkrai, Dragapult, and Walking Wake. Both spreads run 12 Speed EVs to outspeed uninvested Great Tusk. see above Tera Steel is used to gain a Toxic immunity, completely walling Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Gliscor, Dragonite, and Clodsire, with the added perks of resisting Freeze-Dry so it walls checks Kyurem walling kyurem is generous since you basically can just status it and then kinda sit around and do nothing, maybe change it to checks? and resisting Extreme Speed from Dragonite why not just move dragonite up to the list of gking gliscor etc. Tera Fairy grants Rotom-W a Dragon immunity, making it a better switch in to Dragon-types like Dragapult and Raging Bolt. i really disagree with this thought, any dragon that rotom wants to fairy on has secondary coverage that is neutral already (or becomes neutral when you tera fairy) so literally nothing changes and its useless, instead the much more valuable traits are the dark and fighting resist so it can actually check threats like rmoon zamazenta and even darkrai weavile etc or at least get a status off, change this

Rotom-W best fits on balance and bulky offense teams utilizing pivoting cores to make progress. Pivots like Landorus-T on bulky offense and Galarian Slowking on balance work well with it since their respective pivoting moves are able to synergize with Rotom-W and repeatedly gain momentum. ok at this point just get rid of the second sentence, and combine the gking and lando sections into their own sentences Rotom-W is able to threaten Gliscor and Corviknight for Landorus-T and Landorus-T is able to somewhat alleviate the Raging Bolt matchup, as well as checking Zamazenta worth mentioning how lando does well into zamazenta, since rotom has to be pretty careful around the doggo. Rotom-W helps Galarian Slowking helps Rotom-W out by switching into Ground-types like Landorus-T and Great Tusk that Galarian Slowking hates facing what does gking do for rotom? checks kyurem, tealpon, etc. Gliscor is able to set Spikes, which stacks up chip alongside Rotom-W's frequent pivoting, and Swords Dance variants also greatly appreciate Rotom-W being able to take on Corviknight and Skarmory for it. Bulky Grass-types like Amoonguss and Sinistcha are excellent partners because they are able to take on Ogerpon-W, who can switch in on Hydro Pump and threaten with Power Whip or Encore. Rotom-W is able to return the favor by checking Weavile and Fire-types like Heatran and Moltres for them. Garganacl is another good partner for Rotom-W since the balance teams it fits on are often more entry hazard prone than other balance builds im not sure this is really necessary, and having a pivot like Rotom-W who is immune to Spikes and isn't weak to Stealth Rock, and threatens Ground-types is extremely valuable for it. as Rotom-W can threaten Ground-types like Great Tusk and Ting Lu that Garganacl struggles against, while Garganacl can force damage through Stealth Rock and Salt Cure, as well as checking threats like Dragapult and Kyurem. feel free to reformat as need be Ting-Lu fits with physically defensive Rotom-W on balance teams to check Ghost-types like Gholdengo and Dragapult, since Dragapult resists both STABs and can threaten it back with Choice Specs-boosted Draco Meteor or Shadow Ball, and Gholdengo has enough natural special bulk to avoid the 2HKO from Hydro Pump and is immune to Rotom-W's status moves, so it can bank on Rotom-W missing after repeated Recovers and fire back with Nasty Plot-boosted Shadow Balls. Specially defensive variants have better matchups into them but it would still prefer to not take them on so it has enough health to reliably check other threats like Great Tusk and Cinderace. unnecessary imo, you already state ting lu is good with phys def rotom and this spdef one kinda goes no where + is common sense Dragapult and Gholdengo themselves work well with Rotom-W because it can spread status effectively for both Pokemon to Hex sweep later on to fire off boosted Hex later neither of them are sweeping with hex , which is especially good against Dark-types like Kingambit and Darkrai Roaring Moon dont like rmoon mention again for reasons mentioned above since Rotom-W can neuter some of the biggest obstacles to the previously mentioned Ghost-types and let them clean up late-game. Tinkaton can also work with Rotom-W as a hazard setter who can punish setup sweepers and check Kyurem without needing to Terastallize Rotom-W.
