UMPL Champion
[SET]
Weakness Policy (Annihilape) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 160 Def / 88 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Rage Fist
- Low Sweep
- Encore
- Bulk Up

[SET COMMENTS]
* Weakness Policy Annihilape faces stiff competition from Urshifu-S as a Fighting-type Iron Crown check. Yet, in combination with the natural ambiguity that Annihilape has due its set variety, it carves out a legitimate niche in the metagame with better matchups against common Urshifu-S counters such as Choice Band Iron Valiant and Sitrus Berry Will-O-Wisp Volcanion.
* Rage Fist is mandatory in order to KO Iron Crown if it opts to use Tachyon Cutter.
* Low Sweep allows Annihilape to outspeed Timid Iron Crown and then follow up with a boosted Rage Fist or Encore while still being strong enough to 2HKO threats such as Ursaluna and Urshifu-S.
* Low Sweep + Encore is a very potent anti-setup combination in general, effectively locking down Corviknight, Manaphy and, when combined with Bulk Up, Landorus-T.
* The defensive EVs provide the best odds to survive Psychic and Psyshock from Special Attack Booster Energy Iron Crown.
* Due to the strength of this set against stall Pokemon, Choice item users such as Primarina, Ursaluna, and Volcanion synergize well with Annihilape.
* While proficient against its usual checks, this specific Annihilape set will often get overwhelmed by powerful neutral attackers such as Ogerpon-W and Raging Bolt. Hisuian Goodra and Haxorus both make good partners, as they can handle threats to Annihilape like Primarina and Meowscarada, and their respective extreme Special Defense and Attack stats make them hard to blanket check.

* Weakness Policy Annihilape faces stiff competition from Urshifu-S as a Fighting-type Iron Crown check. Besides the natural preview ambiguity that Annihilape has, it carves out a legitimate niche with better matchups against common Urshifu counters such as Choice Band Iron Valiant and Sitrus Will-O-Wisp Volcanion. (Should probably add a "Despite this" or "Yet, it" to show how its still a usable crown check fighting type despite its competition from shifu. perhaps reorder the whole sentence)
* Rage Fist is a finnicky move in 1v1 but it is mandatory on this set in order to KO Iron Crown if it opts to use Tachyon Cutter. (First half of this sentence feels like filler, just state how it allows you to KO crowns that use tachyon)
* Low Sweep allows Annihilape to outspeed Timid Iron Crown and then follow up with a boosted Rage Fist or Encore. It is still strong enough to 2HKO threats such as Ursaluna and Urshifu-S.
* The defensive EVs are provide the best odds against Psychic and Psyshock from Special Attack Booster Iron Crown.
* Low Sweep + Encore is very potent combination against stall Pokemon such as Corviknight and Cresselia. Choice Attackers such as Primarina or Volcanion therefore synergize well with Annihilape.
(we should merge this second half of the bullet to the final bullt and find a better example of a choiced attacker weak to stall than prim)
* The low Speed and weak moves that this set opts for means that Annihilape often gets statchecked by powerful neutral attackers such as Ogerpon-W and Raging Bolt. More generalist-oriented Ppokemon (capitalise) such as Regidrago and Iron Crown can make up for Annihilape's narrow matchups while taking advantage of it's strong ones.

this is 1/2 brother

-reorganized 2nd to last bullet point in a different way than suggested
-leaving prim as an example and just adding luna for variety. liquid voice psychic noise only beats corv and is kind of just bad at it too.

implemented rest

also
-changed cress example to mana bc of clear amulet Gg

Low Sweep + Encore is a very potent combination against stall Pokemon in general such as Corviknight and Manaphy. (Encore is also pretty good versus substall, maybe custap right? I'd like you to go into this a bit more since most Annihilape sets tend not to use Encore)
* The defensive EVs provide the best odds against Psychic and Psyshock from Iron Crown with Quark Drive Special Attack. (is there a better way to word Max SpAtk Booster Energy Iron Crown btw or is this really it)
* Due to the strength of this set against stall Pokemon, Choice Attackers such as Primarina, Ursaluna or Volcanion synergize well with Annihilape.

(I think you should be more specific on this. This isn't particularly helpful as a reader. I'd maybe retool this to mention what this set loses to that other standard sets like CB don't then cover those with its teammates. Regidrago removed obv)

* Weakness Policy Annihilape faces stiff competition from Urshifu-S as a Fighting-type Iron Crown check. Yet, in combination with the natural preview ambiguity would clarify this - do you mean variety of sets? that Annihilape has, it carves out a legitimate niche in the metagame with better matchups against common Urshifu Urshifu-S assuming this based on mention above but if both just say 'Urshifu formes' counters such as Choice Band Iron Valiant and Sitrus Berry Will-O-Wisp Volcanion.
* Rage Fist is mandatory as this Ghost-type STAB for this set in order to KO Iron Crown if it opts to use Tachyon Cutter.
* Low Sweep allows Annihilape to outspeed Timid Iron Crown and then follow up with a boosted Rage Fist or Encore while still being strong enough to 2HKO threats such as Ursaluna and Urshifu-S.

* The defensive EVs provide the best odds against to survive Psychic and Psyshock from Special Attack Booster Energy Iron Crown.
* Due to the strength of this set against stall Pokemon, Choice Attackers item users such as Primarina, Ursaluna, (AC) and or Volcanion synergize well with Annihilape.
* While proficient against its usual checks, this specific Annihilape set will often get overwhelmed by powerful neutral attackers such as Ogerpon-W and Raging Bolt.
