Weatherless and surprisingly good

Nothing absolutely special about this team as it was modeled upon one of the past RMTs, except I changed one of the pokes.

Good thing is how this team doesn't give a shit about toxic spikes and it's relatively easy to prevent other mons from setting up. However, it does have some issues sponging very strong hits from the likes of Latios, Hydreigon etc. Without further ado, take a look!

Gengar, Black Sludge

Timid Nature; 252 speed/252 sp.atk/4 def

- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Disable

Gengar is a really awesome pokemon. It is excellent at annoying and does its job of spin-blocking well. Yes, it is a very squishy mon but it has definitely pulled its weight in the team and is even capable of sweeping up to half a team at least with its counters disposed of. It's no wonder it's been OU for five generations! I occasionally lead with it and begin its annoyance streak. Granted, it doesn't work all the time but gengar is a really good scout.

File:212Scizor.png

Scizor, Choice Band

Adamant nature; 248HP/252 Atk/8 Speed

- Bullet Punch
- U-Turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit

Standard cb scizor. The only time it dies an aggrieved death is when I forget that there's a stupid magnezone lurking around and I accidentally get locked in a move not named superpower. Nonetheless, it has worked very well and finishes weakened teams with impunity.

File:448Lucario.png

Lucario, Life Orb

Adamant; 252 atk/252 speed/4 def

- Swords Dance
- Extremespeed
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch

Once again, a very standard moveset. I picked ice punch over crunch as it deals with pesky gliscors and dragons well. However, that does mean jellicent becomes a bitch. Otherwise, luke is a beast and can well demolish whole teams by itself. However, a non SD-boosted extremespeed can be a tad bit disappointing at times.

File:350Milotic.png

Milotic, Leftovers

Bold nature; 252HP/252 Def/4 Sp. Atk

- Scald
- Dragon Tail
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Milotic well pulls its weight in OU. I don't get why it's so underused. Granted, the likes of breloom, rotom-w can be annoying but I still think it deserves more love. Rest talk milotic is surprisingly durable despite the arbitrariness of rest. Scald is handy as well and milotic has done quite a good job at walling. Hopefully it will get more use!

File:381Latios.png

Latios, Choice Specs

Timid nature; 252 Sp. Atk/252 Speed/4 HP

- Surf
- Draco Meteor
- Trick
- Psyshock

Standard Latios capable of so much damage. Nuff said about this beast; it's definitely on every one of my team despite its multitude of weakness.

File:472Gliscor.png

Gliscor, Toxic Orb

Impish nature; 252HP/176 Def/ 88 Speed

- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Taunt

SR is for obvious reasons. EQ for STAB and taunt to prevent set-ups. Simple and effective. However, it doesn't have much of an offensive presence but I guess that is fine given that its role is to support and to wall. Conks with ice punch don't really surprise me that much anymore but it's still annoying given that gliscor was such a great counter to conk in the past.

So this sums up my RMT! It's nothing super new so I can't be bothered to write much. I just think there should be more exposure and use for pokes that are less used and be reminded that they are not weak. Nothing is really weak if you can play it to its strength. My other sentiment is how I really dislike the strong offensive presence in the metagame now. Gamefreak did so much to upgrade the offensive moves and come up with new held items to increase offence, but what about the other end of the spectrum the defensive mons? Furthermore, I applaud all forms of weatherless teams in this weather-centric game so despite not winning every match, this team is still really enjoyable.

Some notable threats include latios in rain, volcarona (fuck this moth), hydreigon can be a bitch as well. (Am I supposed to use blissey for them? lol)

Just a mindless rant on that. In any case, do rate and advise accordingly. Thanks :)

PS: Aye, forgive the lack of images. I can't copy and paste the images wtf.

Hi there.

Nice team, but I fine some flaws:

1. Sun-Teamy with Volcarona are a threat to your team. To fix the threats in Sun Teams (Heatran, Dugtrio, Volcarona, DNite) I suggest Choice Band Mamoswine. A Choice Band Mamo will OHKO nearly everything in Sun Teams. Here's the Set:

473.gif

Mamoswine @ Choice Band
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant nature
-Ice Shard
-Icicle Crash/Icicle Spear
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
With this set, Sun Teams and Volcarona are fixed. Evs are standard, and the moves to.
If you want, you can try out Icicle Spear in the second slot, good against Sub-Gliscor.
I would run Mamo over Milotic or Luce.

Next, I would change Gliscors Moves to Earthquake, Stealth Rock, Protect, Toxic, with 252 HP/180 Def/72 Spd, impish.. With this Moveset you can stall out very many things, after they are poisened you can protect, heals yourself too.

Hope my ads helped. Good luck!
