Weatherless RMT, Could be great with help.

Hello everyone my name is Alviss and back on shoddy battle I was pretty good at HGSS OU, I quit competitive pokemon for a while and came back a few weeks ago and I am needing some help with my team. I've only been laddering for a little bit but I win 7/10 games with this team. So here we go.

472_gliscor_by_raizy-d41lci0.png

Gliscor (F) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Toxic
- Earthquake
- Protect
- Taunt

I run a standard gliscor set just to take the likes of toxic and will-o-wisp once toxic orb has kicked in and for the resistances he brings and to toxic back himself.

Rotom (Rotom-W) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

One of my checks to rain teams. Can switch in on an ice beam aimed at gliscor and then thunderbolt back. I put in trick to stop set up sweepers, kinda makes me week to gastrodon though.

Dragonite.jpg

Dragonite (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- ExtremeSpeed
- Outrage
- Earthquake
-Superpower

Banded dragonite with multiscale takes hits like a boss and then procedes to do massive damage back. Revenge kills with Extreme Speed and has good typing with the rest of the moves. Put in super power over fireblast to hit ferrothorn in the rain.

Forretress @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Volt Switch
- Gyro Ball

I had scizor here but I changed him to forretress so i can get rid of rocks and have a solid check to dragons.

Chansey.gif

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Wish
- Heal Bell
- Seismic Toss

Takes hits really welll and is probably the most stable wish provider in OU. Heals, Cures, and paralyzes. A lot of times I'll paralyze, wish, then switch into either dragonite or conkeldurr. Dragonite can take the hit with multiscale, heal back up from wish, then dish out a nice hit while conkeldurr can take the hit then be back at full to Bulk Up.

conkeldurr.jpg

Conkeldurr (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch

I really really like conkeldurr. He can take mach punch for priority and with the tanky EV's can bulk up on most things. After 2 Bulk ups he pretty much sweeps. Drain punch heals back everything while mach punch gives priority. Replaced payback with ice punch to hit flying and ghosts.

Final Words-
I really like this team but I have a real problem with psychic types. My team is based around blowing wholes in most of the team and then letting conkeldurr get a good set up. A stab Psychic almost always OHKO's him. All suggestions would be extremely appreciated!

Hey man nice non-weather team you have here. Hopefully my suggestions will help. First off, try out Protect > Taunt on Gliscor. Although now the opponent is able to set hazards up, you are able to get Poison Heal recovery and if the opponent is poisoned, Protect so they lose health due to poison. This also bring me to the idea of switching Stealth Rock to Substitute to be able to Toxic Stall the opponent which will help put a dent into the opponent's team. Another thing is, Dragonite hates hazards and since Taunt is now gone on Gliscor, a Rapid Spinner is vital. You already have 2 solid Physical attackers, Dragonite and Conkeldurr. Try running out Forretress over Scizor, who is capable of both spinning and setting up hazards.

Forretress @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Defense/ 80 Special Defense -- 0 Speed IVs
Relaxed Nature
Moves:
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Gyro Ball

Forretress also provides another Physical wall and is able to take Outrages like really well. Forretress now helps Dragonite maintain Multiscale throughout your games while also sending out vicious hazards on the field. 0 Speed IVs is for maximum power for Gyro Ball. One more thing is possibly trying out Trick over Volt Switch on Rotom-W to help against walls and Baton Pass teams. Hope I helped dude.

You actually helped a lot. I've been thinking for quite some time how useful protect would be over taunt but without a spinner I couldn't let them set up hazards. Baton Pass teams really give me problems so trick seems perfect and to stop setup sweepers all the same. I'll definitely try out forretress thanks so much.

No problem, glad I helped dude. Another thing you could possibly test out now that I look at it is Superpower somewhere on Nite. This will allow Dragonite to hit Ferrothorn under the Rain, although Conkeldurr should be handling him fine.

Hi,

You've got a pretty interesting team here- it's been a while since I've seen OccaZor. Still, your team has some pretty major flaws in the form of CM Espeon, a pokemon only Dragonite could hope to revenge kill. Other threats include Mamoswine and Tornadus-T, who will blow holes in you before you can do anything back.

To help counter Espeon, I suggest you tweak Scizor a little bit- instead of OccaZor, which is a bit outclassed this gen. Scizor needs to be changed to the Choice Band set- it gives you immediate power and the ability to trap psychic types.

Scizor @ Choice Band
248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant nature
~Bullet Punch
~U-turn
~Superpower
~Pursuit

This Scizor can come in on an Espeon, and play mindgames because U-turn does a heck of a lot more than an OHKO, but if they switch they will die from Pursuit. Bullet Punch is really powerful priority, finishing off a ton of weakened pokemon for you, and dealing massive damage to Mamoswine. Superpower hits Magnezone switch ins for the OHKO.

Now that you have Scizor as a bander, I suggest you switch Dragonite's set into a Dragon Dancer. This allows you to have a backup sweeper, one that isn't weak to Psychics and can hit things hard and fast.
149.gif

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant nature
~Dragon Dance
~Outrage
~Fire Punch
~Extremespeed / EQ

Dragonite will have absolutely no problem setting up, especially since it's ability gives it a lot of bulk. With Outrage, a lot of your opponent's pokemon will die fast, clearing the grounds for a later Conkeldurr sweep (or vice versa).

However, your team is really reliant on physical attackers to deal damage- and Gliscor is a certain pokemon that would be very problematic. First off, give Conkeldurr a Flame Orb so it can activate Guts automatically. Flame Orb also lets you have a status tanker- though having Gliscor is already enough. Conkeldurr also needs Ice Punch instead of Mach Punch, to hit Gliscors for an OHKO. That will ease a lot of stress from Scizor and Dragonite.

Nice team!

Do you think I need a spinner in forretress because Dnite is weak to them? or stick to scizor?

Don't replace Mach Punch with Ice Punch, as the priority is useful. Instead, replace Payback with Ice Punch. The priority is useful, the CB Scizor set he suggested would trap Ghosts anyways, and Gengar is killed by Ice Punch anyways.

His team doesn't really have trouble with Espeon. +1 Espeon using Psyshock only 3HKO's Dragonite with Multiscale allowing Dragonite to OHKO back with Earthquake. Even without Multiscale it would 2HKO which Dragonite could KO it first with 2 Extremespeeds. Forretress can also 2HKO Espeon with Gyro Ball without dying from any of +1 Espeon's moves. Calm Mind Espeon doesn't run HP Fire so Forretress can safely stay in. Dual Screens and Baton Pass versions are crippled by Trick from Rotom-W. Lastly, if the Espeon is carrying Psychic and not Psyshock, Chansey completely walls it.
