Weavile's powerful STAB combination, coupled with a fearsome Attack stat and great Speed tier, allow it to function as a solid weapon against offensive teams. Weavile is also one of the few Pursuit trappers in the National Dex tier, and it sets itself apart from Tyranitar and Mega Tyranitar due to its heightened Speed, allowing Weavile to fit on teams that are much more offensive than the bulky offense teams that Tyranitar and Mega Tyranitar are found on. Triple Axel threatens to OHKO common offensive Pokemon like Kartana, Mega Latias, and Mega Charizard Y. Knock Off helps Weavile cripple its defensive answers such as Toxapex, Alomomola, and Tapu Fini while hitting offensive Pokemon like Mega Medicham and Aegislash rather hard. Additionally, Pursuit allows Weavile to trap Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon like Mega Latias, Reuniclus, and Gengar. Offensive Pokemon that Weavile forces out are also good Pursuit targets, such as Mega Medicham, Serperior, and Mega Charizard Y. Ice Shard is useful for revenge killing Choice Scarf Landorus-T, Scale Shot Mega Garchomp, and Rillaboom. Ice Shard is also useful in revenge killing neutrally hit faster threats, such as Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko, after a considerable amount of chip damage.

Weavile fits best on offensive teams that appreciate the Pursuit support it provides. Pokemon that struggle against Mega Latias, Reuniclus, and Aegislash appreciate Pursuit, such as Kartana, Mega Medicham, and Toxapex. Pivots such as Slowbro and Blissey help Weavile get into play without being forced to take a hit while also luring in Aegislash and Gengar for Weavile to take advantage of. Weavile's frailty and typing leave quite a bit to be desired defensively, making it vulnerable to priority users and faster offensive threats such as Rillaboom, Ash-Greninja, and Mega Lopunny. Pokemon that can pivot into these threats like Toxapex, Corviknight, and Clefable fit well alongside Weavile. Also, Weavile's susceptibility to Stealth Rock necessitates Defog support from the likes of Corviknight and Zapdos. Corviknight is especially noteworthy because it invites in Garchomp and offensive Landorus-T in order to pivot out with U-turn into Weavile. Additionally, Mega Scizor and Toxapex counter Weavile, so Pokemon that threaten them such as Taunt Heatran and Mega Medicham make for excellent partners. Heatran and Toxapex are especially good partners because they appreciate Weavile's ability to Pursuit trap Mega Latios and Mega Latias and threaten Gliscor, Garchomp, and Landorus-T with Triple Axel.

Due to the multi-hit nature of Triple Axel, it is very easy to rack up contact chip damage from Ferrothorn's Iron Barbs, Garchomp's Rough Skin, and various Rocky Helmet users. Icicle Crash avoids this chip damage while having a reliable damage output and a flinch chance; however, Icicle Crash does not always OHKO Mega Latias, so Triple Axel is preferred.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Revenge Killers**: Due to Weavile's frailty, faster revenge killers such as Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko can outspeed it and threaten an OHKO with their STAB moves. Additionally, strong priority moves such as Mega Medicham's Fake Out, Greninja's Water Shuriken, and Rillaboom's Grassy Glide will all deal heavy damage to Weavile and should be avoided at all times.

**Steel-types**: Mega Scizor, Mega Mawile, and Melmetal all take minimal damage from Weavile and threaten to OHKO it in return. Mega Scizor deserves special mention, as it is an extremely consistent counter due to its longevity through Roost.

**Water-types**: Toxapex, Alomomola, and Tapu Fini, though they dislike the loss of their item, can switch into Weavile repeatedly over the course of the match and threaten it back with Scald burns or an OHKO after Stealth Rock in Tapu Fini's case. Toxapex and Alomomola can also remain healthy to continually check Weavile courtesy of Regenerator.

Switch Pursuit and Knock
[SET COMMENTS]

Weavile's powerful STAB combination coupled with a fearsome attack stat and blinding speed tier allow Weavile to function as a solid weapon against offensive teams, as it outspeeds and threatens to OHKO common offensive Pokemon like Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Hydreigon with Icicle Crash. Icicle Crash is preferred over Triple Axel due to the increased accuracy and 30% flinch chance. Additionally, Weavile has the distinction of having access to Pursuit. This allows Weavile to trap and remove Psychic and Ghost types like Mega Latias, Reuniclus, and Gengar, which can help enable teammates like Toxapex, Kartana, and Mega Medicham. Save this for the teammates section Knock Off helps Weavile remove items from defensive answers such as Toxapex, Magearna, and Heatran while hitting offensive Pokemon like Cinderace, Mega Latios, and Alakazam rather hard. You are going to click Pursuit on Zam and Latios anyway, ao they arent relevant mentions. Mention Ice resists weak to Dark, such as Slowbro. Switch Pursuit and Knock Off around in accordance with the set Ice Shard is useful for revenge killing a boosted Dragapult, revenge killing a Choice Scarf Landorus-T or outprioritizing Rillaboom's Grassy Glide. Maximum Attack and Speed investment paired with a Jolly nature and Choice Band allows Weavile to be as fast and hit as hard as it possibly can, getting the jump on Garchomp, Hydreigon, Cinderace, and Alakazam. Latis and Gliscor should be mentioned here, and I think Zam can be removed.

Weavile fits best on offensive teams that appreciate the Pursuit support it provides. Pokemon that are walled by Mega Latias, Reuniclus, and Aegislash appreciate the aforementioned Pursuit support, such as Kartana, Mega Medicham, and Mega Charizard Y. Weavile's frailty and typing leave quite a bit to be desired on the defensive end, leaving it weak to priority users and faster offensive threats such as Rillaboom's Grassy Glide, Ash-Greninja, and Mega Lopunny. With that in mind, Pokemon like Toxapex, Corviknight, and Clefable fit well in tandem with Weavile. Additionally, Mega Scizor hard counters Weavile, so Fire types such as Heatran and Volcarona make for excellent partners. Heatran and Toxapex are especially good partners because they appreciate Weavile's ability to Pursuit trap Mega Latias and Mega Latios and to threaten Gliscor with Icicle Crash. Pivots, particularly Blissey and Corviknight, should 100% be mentioned at some point here. Blissey and Weavile have strong synergy in providing a solid path for Weav to revenge kill Hydreigon and Gengar, while Corviknight does the same for the Z-Ground types. There also needs to be a mention of Defog support.

Weavile's powerful STAB combination coupled with a fearsome attack stat and blinding great speed tier allow Weavile to function as a solid weapon against offensive teams, "blinding" kind of oversells it imo, its good but there are common Pokemon that are significantly faster. I'd recommend phrasing it as it hits the important benchmark of outrunning cinderace, as it outspeeds and threatens to OHKO common offensive Pokemon like Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Hydreigon there are definitely more relevant examples that can be used here with Triple Axel. Knock Off helps Weavile remove items from defensive answers such as Toxapex, Magearna, and Heatran while hitting offensive Pokemon like Cinderace, Mega Medicham, and Tapu Lele rather hard. Cham and Lele aren't bad mentions here per se but I'd like to see some things that aren't also OHKOd by Axel...Slowbro or Aegislash or something of that ilk. Spdef Heatran also really doesn't like Knock at all (it takes over half) so there might be something better to talk about there as well Additionally, Weavile has the distinction of having access to Pursuit, allowing Weavile to trap Psychic and Ghost-types like Mega Latias, Reuniclus, and Gengar. I'd also mention Pursuit above in the section where you briefly discuss its main usage in the metagame...and talk about its advantages over other Pursuit trappers up there as well. Ice Shard is useful for revenge killing a Choice Scarf Landorus-T or outprioritizing Rillaboom. Mention the ability to generally revenge kill weakened, fast threats as well. Could Mention Scale Shot Garchomp here too but its up to you.

Weavile fits best on offensive teams that appreciate the Pursuit support it provides. Pokemon that struggle against Mega Latias, Reuniclus, and Aegislash appreciate the aforementioned Pursuit support, such as Kartana, Mega Medicham, and Toxapex. Pivots such as Slowbro and Blissey help Weavile get into play without being forced to take a hit, while also luring in Hydreigon Again, there are definitely better options to be used here and Gengar for Weavile to take advantage of. Weavile's frailty and typing leave quite a bit to be desired on the defensive end, leaving it vulnerable to priority users and faster offensive threats such as Rillaboom's Grassy Glide, Ash-Greninja, and Mega Lopunny. With that in mind, Pokemon that can pivot into these threats like Toxapex, Corviknight, and Clefable fit well in tandem with Weavile. Also, Weavile's susceptibility to Stealth Rock necessitates Defog support from the likes of Corviknight or Zapdos. Corviknight is especially noteworthy because it invites in Garchomp and offensive Landorus-T in order to U-turn out into Weavile. Additionally, Mega Scizor and Toxapex counter Weavile, so Fire-types such as Taunt Heatran and Cinderace make for excellent partners. The way this is worded makes it sounds like Fire-types in general handle toxapex, which obviously isn't true...I think you could mention something like Mega Medicham bashing through pex or something like that. Heatran and Toxapex are especially good partners because they appreciate Weavile's ability to Pursuit trap the Lati twins and to threaten Gliscor, Garchomp, and Landorus-T with Triple Axel.

Weavile can use Icicle Crash over Triple Axel if the user values the heightened accuracy and flinch chance; however, Icicle Crash does not always OHKO Mega Latias, so Triple Axel is preferred. Talk about how it lowers chip damage should you use your Ice STAB into a Ferrothorn or something.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Revenge Killers**: Due to Weavile's frailty, faster revenge killers such as Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko can outspeed it and threaten an OHKO with their STAB moves. I think you can expand on this section a little bit; mention some strong priority that Weav doesn't like as well

**Steel-types**: Mega Scizor, Mega Mawile, Kartana, Axel has a chance to OHKO Kart, find another example and Magearna take minimal damage from Weavile and can all threaten to OHKO Weavile in return. Mega Scizor and Magearna you mention mage later, it reads a little repetitively deserve special mention, as Mega Scizor is an extremely consistent counter due to its longevity through Roost. Magearna can either set up on Weavile or use Pain Split throughout the match to remain healthy, thus making for a very sturdy and dangerous counter.

**Water-types**: Toxapex and Tapu Fini, though they dislike the loss of their item, can switch into Weavile repeatedly over the course of the match and can threaten Weavile back with either a Scald burn or an OHKO, respectively. Fini doesn't OHKO Weavile

Triple Axel threatens to OHKO common offensive Pokemon like Kartana, Mega Latias, and Mega Charizard Y. Knock Off helps Weavile remove items from cripple its defensive answers such as Toxapex, Magearna, and Tapu Fini while hitting offensive Pokemon like Cinderace, Mega Medicham, and Aegislash rather hard. Additionally, Pursuit allows Weavile to trap Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon like Mega Latias, Reuniclus, and Gengar. Offensive Pokemon that Weavile forces out are also good Pursuit targets, such as Cinderace, Mega Medicham, and Mega Charizard Y. Ice Shard is useful for revenge killing Choice Scarf Landorus-T, Scale Shot Mega Garchomp, and Rillaboom. Ice Shard is also useful in revenge killing neutrally-hit faster threats, such as Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko, after a considerable amount of chip damage.

Weavile fits best on offensive teams that appreciate the Pursuit support it provides. Pokemon that struggle against Mega Latias, Reuniclus, and Aegislash appreciate Pursuit, such as Kartana, Mega Medicham, and Toxapex. Pivots such as Slowbro and Blissey help Weavile get into play without being forced to take a hit (RC) while also luring in Aegislash and Gengar for Weavile to take advantage of. Weavile's frailty and typing leave quite a bit to be desired on the defensive end defensively, leaving it vulnerable to priority users and faster offensive threats such as Rillaboom, Ash-Greninja, and Mega Lopunny. Pokemon that can pivot into these threats like Toxapex, Corviknight, and Clefable fit well in tandem with alongside Weavile. Also, Weavile's susceptibility to Stealth Rock necessitates Defog support from the likes of Corviknight or and Zapdos. Corviknight is especially noteworthy because it invites in Garchomp and offensive Landorus-T in order to pivot out with U-turn out into Weavile. Additionally, Mega Scizor and Toxapex counter Weavile, so Pokemon that threaten them such as Taunt Heatran and Mega Medicham make for excellent partners. Heatran and Toxapex are especially good partners because they appreciate Weavile's ability to Pursuit trap the Lati twins and Latios and Latias as well as threaten Gliscor, Garchomp, and Landorus-T with Triple Axel.

Other Options
=============

Due to the multi-hit nature of Triple Axel, it is very easy to rack up contact chip damage. This comes from Ferrothorn's Iron Barbs, Garchomp's Rough Skin, and various Rocky Helmets. Since Icicle Crash does not make contact, it will circumvent this chip damage. Weavile can also use Icicle Crash over Triple Axel if the user values the heightened accuracy Helmet users. Icicle Crash avoids this chip damage while having a reliable damage output (RC) and a flinch chance; however, Icicle Crash does not always OHKO Mega Latias, so Triple Axel is preferred.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Revenge Killers**: Due to Weavile's frailty, faster revenge killers such as Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko can outspeed it and threaten an OHKO with their STAB moves. Additionally, strong priority moves such as Mega Medicham's Fake Out, Greninja's Water Shuriken, and Rillaboom's Grassy Glide will all deal heavy damage to Weavile, and should be avoided at all times.

**Steel-types**: Mega Scizor, Mega Mawile, Melmetal, and Magearna all take minimal damage from Weavile and threaten to OHKO Weavile it in return. Mega Scizor deserves special mention, as it is an extremely consistent counter due to its longevity through Roost. Also, Magearna can either set up on Weavile or use Pain Split throughout the match to remain healthy, thus making for a very sturdy and or (bc "either") dangerous counter.

**Water-types**: Toxapex, Alomomola, and Tapu Fini, though they dislike the loss of their item, can switch into Weavile repeatedly over the course of the match and can threaten Weavile threaten it back with either Scald burns, (AC) or an OHKO after Stealth Rock in Tapu Fini's case (I assume?). Toxapex and Alomomola can also remain healthy to continually check Weavile courtesy of Regenerator.
