ORAS UU Welcome Home Heracross!

This is my new UU team. I decided to post it here so I could get feedback and constructive criticism about my team so I could improve it. It is my first UU team here, but read between the fine print and make sure that you rate me harshly so I can improve much more (No insults though.)
Moving on, this is a team that specializes on using 2 of UU's newest threats to see how good they are in the current ORAS meta-game. However one of these new threats is used in particular, Heracross as the pokemon I built my team around, will be in today's spotlight. While the rest of the team was chosen on their roles and how well they cover Heracross's weaknesses, as well as the other team members.
The Team, which I call "The Lord of the Tier, the Return of the Cross" consist's of Heracross, Salamence, Mega Aggron, Blissey, Serperior, and Chandelure.

Our first discussed pokemon will be Heracross

214.png

bIG bUG (Heracross) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace

O Heracross, how the tier has missed your presence. That aside, Heracross's main job is to be a late game cleaner that can come out, and most of the time, outspeed opposing pokemon, and after killing them, get a Moxie boost, transforming him into a scarf-set up sweeper that is capable of ending teams. Close Combat can nail down the prominent steel, ice, normal, and dark types as well as non-scarfed Terrakions, in addition to being a very powerful STAB move that can do a lot of damage to a lot of non-defensive mons. Megahorn is another very powerful STAB move that can put a dent into a lot of mons, even if they are not Dark, Grass, and Psychic types. Stone Edge is there to knock down Flying, and Fire types that Heracross could not touch otherwise. Aerial Ace is there to hit other Heracross's, in addition to the tier's many other Fighting Types, which are on most teams. The Scarf is mainly used to outspeed most of UU's other mons, since Heracross has a relatively low base 75 speed. Heracross also manages to be a great partner to Salamence and Serperior, which love something that can outspeed Ice types and Steel Types, Mega Aggron and Blissey also likes Heracross's presence, since it can Stone Edge Fire Types, and Aerial Ace Flying Types. Chandelure likes it to take out Dark types, and Rock Types , which threaten its sweeping potential.
Our next pokemon will be Salamence

Backwards (Salamence) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Impish Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Roar
- Roost
- Defog
Salamence, one of UU's greatest new monsters, has found a great place on my team due to its ability to Defog, and Roar. My Salamence set is a physically bulky set, and it manages to complement a lot of mons on my team by being able to Defog, which complement's Chandelure since it is weak to rocks, and Heracross to make sure it is at max health to live hits. Salamence also manages to compliment Heracross, Aggron, and Serperior by resisting Fire, which as I noticed, my team has a large weakness to, and Blissey complements from a Fighting resist, and Aggron and Chandelure compliment from having a mon that is immune to ground. After Salamence gets hit by rocks, it can always heal up with roost, and force out slower fairy, ice, and rock types with Roar, so it can get in a safe defog before a threat to it comes in. Dragon Claw is mostly there to hit other dragon types like Haxorus, which my team has no other answers to. Intimidate can already give it a safe switch in against physical attackers, giving it a free roost or defog, both of which can compliment it.
The third mon on our team is Mega-Aggron

Railroad Track (Aggron) @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SpD
Impish Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
Aggron is my mixed wall, as well as my teams typical lead, as it can put out rocks, discouraging Fire, Ice, Bug, and Flying types, which Heracross, Salamence, Serperior, and Aggron all benefit from. Roar is mainly used to keep Defoggers out when they first switch in, at the same time, giving me a free switch as they switch into their defoggers on the next turn. Earthquake is to deal with opposing fire types benefitting it, Heracross, and Serperior, and to hit Terrakion, which threaten its potential to keep rocks up. Heavy Slam is used to kill Fairys and Ice types, which Salamence and Heracross love to be able to benefit from.
My teams fourth pokemon is Blissey

242.png

Nurse Hax (Blissey) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell
- Seismic Toss
Although Blissey is known as being a special wall, and it does that very well to the aid of my team, it is also a cleric with heal bell, getting rid of status's that can seriously weaken my team, since Salamence and Heracross aid from everything, Aggron appreciates losing it's burn, Serperior and Chandelure appreciate lost paralysis and poison, so Blissey is a huge benefactor to all my team. In addition, it is able to paralyze whatever decides to come in or stay in, which tend to be fighting types or physical attackers. It manages to keep itself healed up with softboiled, and does any damage it can with seismic toss.
The next team member is Serperior

497.png

Aragorn (Serperior) @ Life Orb
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Glare
- Taunt
Serperior, the only pokemon that manages to get a free 120 power Nasty Plot each turn, plays a different role than most expect on my team. Its role is to force switches with taunt, disabling pokemon like CroCune, Florges, and other walls of their status moves, forcing out their next pokemon into a free glare that paralyzes even ground types, which benefits everything by making sure that the opponents have a 50% chance of moving next turn, and halving their speed. Leaf Storm is to get it's SpA p, while having a very powerful way to get rid of Ground, Rock, and Water Types, which benefits Chandelure an absolute ton, Heracross, Aggron, Salamence, and Blissey. Giga Drain is there to make it do its job a little longer by giving it HP back from Life Orb Damage.
The Sixth and Final member of my team is Chandelure.

Funeral Candles (Chandelure) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball
SubCM Chandelure is a great pokemon to put on my team, due to its ability Flash Fire, which allows it to eat Fire Type moves like you eat a pizza by yourself, benefitting Aggron, Heracross, and Serperior, which are weak to fire type attacks. SubCM allows it to set up, while getting that HP back with Leftovers, so it can set up, and hit Steel, Grass, Bug, and Ice Types with a STAB Flamethrower, which benefits Heracross, Salamence, and Serperior. Its other attacking move is Shadow Ball, which helps out Heracross and Blissey by hitting Psychic and Ghost Types. Even its ghost typing benefits Aggron and Blissey, making it immune to Normal and Fighting, which they are weak to.

I have found and created a short list of cons I have noticed about my team.
- No Knock Off, so the opponents items are safe.
- I have no way to spread Poison to the other team
- Glalie laughs at everything but Aggron and maybe Chandelure
- My only way to deal with crocune is Serp.

Pretty interesting semi stall team.

I don't have time to fully pick apart this team but one thing that stood out to me is that you're not using Wish on Blissey even though Aggron in particular as well as Chandelure would really appreciate it. I would use it over Thunder Wave.

Also, Heracross's STABs are too easily walled in UU to make effective use of Moxie imo, you should try Guts on it instead to punish status spam which can be annoying for bulkier teams like this.

Hey man, cool team you have. Agree with wish on Blissey as stated above, but I'd probably keep Moxie to better clean late game and Guts + Heal Bell doesn't seem like the best synergy wise. Now onto my own changes:
  • I would use Knock Off over Aerial Ace on Heracross. You stated at the end that you would like to have Knock off on your team so here you go! Knock Off is pretty much standard on Hera this gen since it's really spammable and discourages things like Doublade from switching in which otherwise completely walls you. And hitting other hera's shouldn't be too much of a concern for you since you have defensive Mence to beat them.
  • On Chandy you should use an EV spread of 112 HP/140SpA/4Spdef/252+SpD. This spread allows your subs to never be broken by Florges' moonblast so that you can set up on it more reliably.
  • Now with Serp gone, not sure if you just want to do away with this team completely, but you can always fill it with something like Shaymin/Whimsicott. Obviously they don't do the same thing as Serp, but they're very solid offensive grass types that could still hold your team together.
Chandelure @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 112 HP / 140 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Flamethrower/Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
Hope I helped! :]
