well all you guys are doing it...

Well since just about everyone is using sweeper teams today I thought that I would make one as well. I'm not to keen on the lead so if you have any other suggestions without dramatically changing my team please share. So heres the team:

deoxyse.png
@Life Orb
naive nature

Thunder Bolt
Shadow Ball
Psychic
Super Power

EVs: 252 Sp Atk / 176 Atk / 80 Spd

[Deoxys is a great special sweeper and with this set along with its speed it is a great killer. I didn't really want to use a 'suicide lead' but there isn't really much choice apart from Infernape. max sp atk means that I will 2HKO Bronzong with t-bolt provided it doesn't put me to sleep.

---------------

infernape.png
@Life Orb
Hasty nature

Fire Blast
Grass Knot
Close Combat
Hidden Power [Ice]

EVs: 252 Sp Atk / 24 Atk / 232 Spd

I give you the MixApe. One of the most dangerous pokemon in the game. He is my main wall breaker and a midgame sweeper. Theres really not much to say. I don't have nasty plot because lets face it, theres not really any time to set up unless your using a stall team these days.

metagross.png
@Lum Berry
Adamant nature

Bullet Punch
Pursuit
Explosion
Earthquake

EVs: 252 HP / 228 Atk / 12 Def / 16 Spd

Metagrass is one of my physical sweepers. He takes care of Gengar, Deoxys. Basically he comes in on Gars hypnosis and kills with Pursuit. Explosion when his job is done.

zapdos.png
@Leftovers
Bold nature

Thunder Bolt
Toxic
Roost
Hidden Power [Ice]

EVs: 252HP / 220 Def / 36 Spd

The teams Toxic induser and a special sweeper. I've really come to like Zapdos however I not sure about having him here because I do have a little problem with Gyarados and a celebi could do wonders.

dragonite.png
@Yache Berry
Adamant nature

Outrage
Dragon Dance
Fire Punch
Earthquake

EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4HP

Garchomp is really OU these days don't you think? Personally I like dragonite better and after a DD or 2 can out speed Garchomp and OHKO with Outrage. And if my other team members kill all his counters then its a clean win.

salamence.png
@Expert Belt/Life Orb
Jolly/Naive nature

Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Roost/Flamethrower

EVs: 252 Speed / 176 Atk / 80 Sp Atk/ or 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4HP

Another dragon that I would use over Garchomp. A great mixed sweeper [if he has flamethrower. I'm not sure which move to use. Roost gives me a better chance to set up DD without dyeing to hits or Life Orb while flamethrower takes out Skarmory/Bronzong/Fortress ect.

Well that the team. What do you think?

There are a few things you may want to change:

- Mixed sweeper Deoxys-S doesn't make for a good lead, because it is unable to 2HKO Bronzong, and is stopped cold by enemy Deoxys-S packing Light Screen. Your lead doesn't have to be a suicide lead, but I suggest using one that can either set up Stealth Rock (like Bronzong), U-turn to another pokemon (like Scizor), or start the battle by doing a lot of damage to a lot of pokemon (like Tyranitar or Gallade).

- There isn't really a good reason to use two Dragon Dancers that are both 4x weak to ice (even though one has a Yache Berry). Consider using Tyranitar or Gyarados if you really feel you need another Dragon Dancer, or use another pokemon.

- Unless you have a really, really good reason not to have it, Metagross should always have Meteor Mash. Bullet Punch simply doesn't cut it as its only STAB move. Also keep in mind that Pursuit doesn't have priority, so if you come in on a Gengar's Hypnosis, it can always Hypnosis you again after you've used the Lum Berry and then switch out (or simply attack, because Shadow Ball 2HKOs iirc).

- Deoxys-S needs Ice Beam to counter dragons (including Yache chomp if it's lost at least 1/3 of its health). Consider putting it over Psychic, since the only pokemon Psychic really hits specifically is Heracross.

Most of your team is pretty slow initially, so I recommend replacing Infernape with scarf Heatran in order to counter Gengar a little better.

fire blast on nape to ohko celebi imo!

616 the point of that meta is to trap gengar with bp + pursuit (like scizor does in ubers with uturn + pursuit)
mence is missing evs, do you really want 3 ice weaks? you kinda have a crippling mamo weak here. revenge kill with ape they switch to vappy/starmie etc, sr/LO builds up etc

i think you should change the "pace" of the team, since unlike other offensive teams, they can just switch to jirachi turn one once they figure out the deoxys is an attacking type (which should be saved for lategame, strictly as a cleaner), lay sr on your switch to metagross or something, and all of a sudden the game is to their advantage for the duration of the amx (you have no sr or spinner).

like you mentioned, gyarados kinda ruins this team after a dd, and smart ones will waterfall turn one to kill your potential deoe switchin.

i recommend you switch this team around a bit. first, starmie is an excellent idea, as is celebi (but at this point its too many ice weaks). starmie can act as a "check" against mamo, being able to scare off most versions as well as make gyarados think twice. standard (surf tb rs rec) would do you good probably. (opposing mixapes are a problem as most just max speed (or at least i do!)

nite and deoe seem the most replacable. a lead that could lay sr is a good idea, bronzong could manage it, and the ensuing heatran weak could be dealth with by starmie and possibly salamence. bronzong stops mamo cold as a bonus.

lol. Gave him EVs.

What if I replace Salamence for heatran and make him my lead? Maybe something like:

Heatran@Leftovers
Modest Nature
54 HP / 240 SpA / 216 Spe

Taunt
Stealth Rock
Fire Blast
Dragon Pulse

EVs: 54HP / 240 Sp Atk / 216 Spd

What else do you recommend for this team?

Both dragon/flying is really redundant, I would one of them sd garchomp, as te first dragon could weaken it while the second one sweeps, and one isnt weak to sr.I would recommend the lead sr azelf because it looks like sr would help you're sweepers alot.

how about Celebi over Zapdos and Heatran as lead with set above over Salamence.

I don't really want an Azelf as I have Deoxys and other sweepers that do the same minus stealth rock.
