what do/did you do at school?

I'm 16, so I go to high school,
some of you could think I am a nerd, because I do Latin, but believe me I'm not a nerd or something like that xD

I'm interested in what kind of special things you do/did at school or what you do/did for a study (e.g. did you have/had Latin like me?).

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do after high school, so I would like to know what your thoughts about school/university are.

P.S.: please correct me if my made an grammatical error, I want to do my cambridge exam :)

EDIT: O_o I start everytime with "I'm"
EDIT: yay, got me an A for my english letter!

Um, I'm only in Year 9, but I'm doing PASS (Physical Activity and Sports Studies) because I'm hoping to be a rugby commentator when I'm older. >_>

i actually want to be a defence attorney, but I probably know the most out of anyone in my year about rugby, and it pretty much governs my life (outside of Smogon!).

I had thoughts about being an defence attorney myself too, my mother is one and it just looks interesting, can't explain it though xD

I am in Scholastic Bowl, won our first match this Wednesday (670 to 140), I also was in LEGO Robotics which I was the Captain of. We obtained 2nd Place, in that. I also sang a love song earlier this year which I kinda regret now, I just got heart broken after that </3

@akuchi, you'd rather be a prosecutor, am I right? :O

@Assassin, can I ask you what a Scholastic Bowl exactly is, still not so familiair with those things >_>

I spent my time in school studying A2 level Maths, Physics and Further Maths. (I am in England.) I still continue to study my fourth choice, Religious Studies, even though I don't really need it any more. It is an interesting subject and one that allows me to do something to get away from all of the Maths, should I wish to (which to be fair, isn't very often.)

The rule I have always taken with these is "do what you enjoy and are good at (as the two generally come together) and see where to go from there." Obviously it helps that Maths, Further Maths and Physics all go well together, and RE really is a very interesting aside. Not only does it attempt to answer those question that Maths and Science can't answer, but looking back in history, the two often go hand in hand. Descartes, for example, was a very devout Christian, that comes up in things like the Ontological argument, but also invented the most commonly used co-ordinate system!

I don't do much outside of that in school. I used to be a part of the school's cricket team, but that died out after we joined the 6th Form. I do play the Piano in the school Swing Band, though, and there is also the Team Maths Challenges! Many people consider this a joke, but it is good fun, and a nice way to participate in the things that I am good at!

I'm in my third semester of college and am majoring in biology. I'm not completely sure what I want to do, but I'll probably transfer to a college that has a marine biology program (or forensics).

However, as of late, I've considered switching to the criminal justice program (I'm already taking a lot of the needed classes for fun, haha) because it seems like I could get a job easier...

As for high school, I was homeschooled for most of it, but I took many of the same subjects that an average student would take, plus extra sciences (I've always been a bit of a science nerd).

I am a senior in highschool, I have been in an University program for Engineering throughout all 4 years which is usually 2-3 engineering classes per year. Its been interesting and the class is pretty cool (considering we have at least 3 classes a year with the same people), but some of the teachers and subject matter are not that great. Needless to say, Engineering is not my chosen major for college, the UP kinda pushed me away from it, and thank god I saw what it was like in highschool instead of college.

Also as a part of the UP, there is a Robotics club. We compete against around 4 schools every year in 3 challenges, this year is shooting(nerf), obstacle course(the staple, it's there every year), and trash collecting. I am one of the leaders of the nerf team, and through my 4 years in this club I must say this is the best part of the robot to work on so far.

I'm 16.

Some of you may think I am a nerd because I am in college, but I assure you I am not even close to one. /OPlookAlike

Right now I am unsure of what I am going to do in the future but my major as of now is Computer Science. Might shift to some medical field later on.

This'll be my 1st post, so its kinda like an introduction :P
I'm a 3rd class power engineer, I dont know what they call it in the states but I run high pressure boilers

Currently Literature and some Philosophy, entirely vague but I'm taking a wide range of lit classes at the moment. I really want to get into religion in the future and hopefully I'll be able to dovetail philosophy into it, maybe studying Kant's religious thought in more depth? I've been studying a lot of ancient chinese lit as well so maybe I'll try to get into daoism/buddhism more. I really just want to study more anthropology.

I study Latin to! Last year I did Greek but I stopped with that so I could do some more math. Now I'm not sure what to chose for over a few years. I'd like to do something with science and maybe even robotics, but then I'd need to go to another school and I wouldn't like that. The big problem is that I don't know my future profession yet, actually I don't have a clue about it :(

Doing my AS' at the moment (In England =D) in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and German. Hopefully gonna do Physics and Chemistry at Uni =D

wow, interesting reads you guys :)

As for the choice that I need to make when I finished high school, I can go many ways, because I have LOTS of subjects in school :P (e.g. French, Latin, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History etc)

Also, I'm quite interested in what you think of the subject of your own language, because Dutch sucks balls xD I'm like; I already know how to speak and write Dutch, GAWD!

Currently pursuing a BSc in Computer Science. I'm contemplating minoring in Math, Music or Economics (whatever for-ex falls under) in my sophomore year

Well, for the moment I'm just constantly playing my guitar because the simplest of things make people look at you like you're Jesus. Seriously, something that five minutes of practice gets you makes people drool like brain dead monkeys. Fun stuff :-)

Oh, and if it matters at all, I am in engineering.

Well today we finished our last 1350 word english exam and we havnt done much other then that since this was the last day before spring break =3

I took 4 years of Japanese, 2 years of Advanced English, chemistry , physics and biology in High school. And am now in college! ( first year ) :D Not very exciting stuff I have to say, but it looks impressive when I type it out like that.

Took some physics, chemistry, math, computer classes, and some english at the college. screwed up the first year because i took math and physics way too lightly and now im only about less than half way there on finishing GE's =( now i hang in the library a whole lot and study and get B's and A's. study study study...

pigmice were from my school!!! o_0

anyway I do a science bowl thing, but since our coaches believe in sending 3 evenly talented teams we never do to well. :(
