What Has a Bigger Effect on Stats - Genes or Nature?

Hello, there.

I was wondering - what has a bigger effect on stats? Genes, or nature? This is a particularly important question when it comes to legendaries such as Mewtwo who can only be caught once. For example, should I keep a Mewtwo with a neutral nature but good IVs, or does nature have a bigger influence on stats than IVs?

Although I may be wrong I believe nature is more important, especially when it comes to legendaries. For example, Mewtwo's speed maxes at 394, (with a good nature), and if you have a 0 IV on a Timid Mewtwo, ur speed can reach 363. However, with a neutral nature and a 31 IV in speed, Mewtwo's speed can only reach 359.

NOTE: Mewtwo has a 130 base stat for speed, so my thinking will not work for poke's that have a 80 or 90 base stat. In that case the Iv's may be more important.

Just be sure to take the time to get a great IV and Great nature.

IVs make a huge difference. I realize that this might be an extreme example, but I had a couple of Latias. I had a Quirky Latias with average IVs, and I regarded her as a temporary one until I got a Modest one. I finally managed to nab the running one in Sapphire after a couple of tries. To my horror, she had 0 IVs in every category except for attack (1). I did the calculations, and the Quirky Latias had better stats at L70, 244 special attack compared to 223 of the Modest Latias.
