What is this?! (An Ubers RMT)

To be honest, I have never seen an Ubers RMT on here since I joined, although I am rather new.

This team has gotten me from a measly 893 points (My first Ubers team was horrible, so I gave up on Ubers.) to 1523 points in approximately 8 hours. I am fighting to keep my place on the leaderboard (#50). :nerd:

Now on to the in-depth descriptions:

Pinsir the Lead:
rbback127.png

Pinsir @ Focus Sash (Mold Breaker)
252 Atk \ 172 Hp \ 80 Def (Adamant)
-Quick Attack
-X-Scissor
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge

I simply couldn't think of an anti-lead to use in Ubers, so I made a makeshit killer out of my favorite pokemon. Somehow, it worked. Ubers is full of Psychics, so X-Scissor is nice, dealing a 1HKO or a 2HKO to any Psychic without a secondary typing that makes it neutral to X-Scissor. Earthquake is a nice move for Dialga leads, but I usually get that 55% in then die. Stone Edge is for flying types, it also makes a Lugia that comes in roost. When it roosts it is weak to X-scissor, but takes 50%, so it really becomes a stall war Pinsir will lose. There are no Speed EV's because 85 Base speed just doesn't cut it in Ubers. Another Anti-lead that can set up Stealth Rock would be welcome here.

Soul the Tank:
gsback249.png

Lugia @ Choice Band (Pressure)
200 Hp \ 192 Spe \ 116 SpA (Timid)
-Trick
-Ice Beam
-Thunder
-Roost

Let's face it, no one expects a Trick Lugia. I actually took this set straight from Lugia's Smogon section. I chose a Choice Band over Choice Specs because Lugia usually end up attracting a special attacker, and a Choice Band does not help them at all. Even if I decide not to trick, it would only be because I'm up against something like Garchomp, Rayquaza, or anything similar, in which case Ice Beam kills them. After I trick I still retain tanking capabilities through Roost and Lugia's natural Bulk.

Hyper Beam the Mixed:

Dialga @ Expert Belt (Pressure)
252 S.Atk \ 120 HP \ 136 Attack (Quiet)
-Draco Meteor
-Thunder
-Outrage
-Earth Power

Mixed Dialga, often times a stall-breaker. Earth Power can hit other Dialga, Draco Meteor hits the many dragons of Ubers, and Thunder is abused against Lugia and Kyogre. Once I Draco Meteor, they usually send in something to set up, thinking me useless now that I'm at -2 Sp. Atk. It's a pretty costly mistake, as I then Outrage them. Unfortunately, this is my only hope against a Lugia/Blissey combo, and even then I must rely on Thunder paralyzing Lugia. Expert Belt can be used to bluff a Choice Specs, I also prefer it to Life Orb.

Druzil the Assassin:
rbback094.png

Gengar @ Choice Scarf (Levitate)
252 SpA \ 252 Speed \ 4 Hp (Modest)
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Hidden Power Ice
-Thunder

My top-notch Revenge Killer. This was the first member of the team, because I knew I would need a Rayquaza check. With Hidden Power Ice, both SD and DD Rayquaza fall. All non-scarfed Garchomp fall (Jolly Scarf versions outspeed me unfortunately, but they can't get past Lugia). Non-Scarfed Shaymin-S's also fall. Shadow Ball deals with Mewtwo and Non-Baton Passing Mews. It also covers the rare Shedinja. Thunder can kill weakened Kyogres, Manaphy's and other water types. Focus Blast can deal with Darkrai (unless it misses). If I change this to Timid, I still get the revenge kill on Rayquaza due to Life Orb, but I miss out on some 1HKO's.

Drizzler the Rain God:
rsback382.png

Kyogre @ Wacan Berry (Drizzle)
252 SpA \ 140 Speed \ 116 Hp (Modest)
-Surf
-Thunder
-Ice Beam
-Sleep Talk

This is Diverse Ogre. It says Hi. Surf, Thunder, and Ice beam provide great coverage. Sleep talk is there because Kyogre is my darkrai-counter, taking a dark void then hitting it with a strong attack. I can't really think of anything to say about Kyogre. It's main purpose is to set up rain, counter Darkrai, and kill off weakened pokemon. Wacan Berry bluffs Specs and protects me from a Thunder.

Bite Me the Star:
gsback230.png

Kingdra @ Life Orb (Swift Swim)
208 Atk \ 136 SpA \ 164 Speed (Lonely)
-Dragon Dance
-Draco Meteor
-Outrage
-Waterfall

Kingdra in the rain is a beast. Kingdra in the rain with a Dragon Dance is Heaven....for me. My favorite time to bring this in is on a weakened Kyogre using Water Spout, it gives me a free DD pretty much. After a Dragon Dance, his thing outspeeds almost every Uber. Draco Meteor is nice to not lock myself in outrage. Waterfall is a nice stab, which in the rain is boosted to 2x power instead of 1.5x. (Correct me If I am wrong.) Outrage just dominates the many Dragons in ubers. If I can pull off two Dragon Dances, waterfall does ~80% to Great Wall Lugia. This thing has swept teams many a time.

The main threats to my team appear to be:
Shaymin-S
Scarfed Jolly Chomp (If Lugia is down.)
Blissey/Lugia Combo

So, how did I do?

Ok, this isn't too bad, but there are some changes to be made.

-I really think your Pinsir lead is rather ineffective. You also have no Stealth Rock, which is incredibly helpful for Kingdra, and for beating Shaymin-S and Lugia. I would try making Dialga your lead:

Dialga @ Lum Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/140 SAtk/116 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunder Wave
- Thunder

This is a reliable lead with great resists and will usually manage to set up Rocks. Against Deoxys Leads you 2HKO with Dragon Pulse, against Kyogre you Paralyze it and 2HKO with Thunder, and against Darkrai you absorb Dark Void with Lum Berry, Paralyze it, then set up Rocks. This also beats Scarf Palkia, with your team doesn't seem to like very much. You can also beat Lugia by Paralyzing it and 2HKOing with Thunder.

-Now that Dialga is your lead, you obviously need a wallbreaker. Now, I've noticed SpecsOgre hurts this team badly, your only safe switch in to it is Kingdra, but Kingdra doesn't have a lot of bulk. You could use a Mixed Palkia:

Palkia @ Lustrous Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 6 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spd
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Outrage
- Thunder
- Spacial Rend
- Surf

This is a superb Wallbreaker, in the rain your foes will be hard-pressed to beat it. Blissey is OHKOed by Outrage, and with Lustrous Orb you can bluff a Scarf. With Paralysis from Dialga, this also beats Lugia and Latias.

-Your Kyogre set looks fine, but I would change its item to Leftovers. You won't really need to bluff Specs, and the extra survivability would be extremely helpful.

Your Team also isn't fond of Latias, but you do have ways around it.

I have to go now, might add more later.

If the sun is up, and Darkrai switches into anything but Focus Blast from Gengar, you're most likely going to be 6-0'd right there. With a +2 STAB Dark Pulse / Focus Blast, or the ability to send Kingdra to sleep on the switch-in (if it's raining) you almost have no choice against it.

I would go with Fireburn's suggestions, but putting a Choice Scarf on Palkia, instead of a lusterous orb.

Also > Leftovers over Wacan Berry and get rid of Sleep Talk on Kyogre, it can't revenge kill Dakrai if it's weakened, and Palkia will still be able to revenge kill you with it's own Thunder.

Thanks I'll try out your advice Fireburn.

And to Franklin, I have yet to lose to a Darkrai in the rain, and I make sure the rain is up, I never let Kyogre die until their Groudon is dead. Also, every team that has run Groudon has not had a Darkrai on it so far.

I disagree with putting the Scarf on Palkia, it sorta ruins his wallbreaking abilities. If you really need it, make Kyogre the standard Choice Scarf set with a Timid nature. Just let Dialga absorb the sleep, then send in Kyogre and OHKO. Even without defensive investment, you can still live +2 Dark Pulse at full health.

I run Groudon + Darkrai + Latias as My offensive core on one of my teams and To tell you the truth, it rips this team apart. It can get CM on your Kyogre because of Soul Dew giving a boost to special defense. Your 2 Options to kill it or maybe cripple it would be Kingdra, or Lugia. Kingdra OHKOs it with Outrage but if the sun is up your only option would be to trick it with Lugia, Latias would probably be faster and altough it might not like the CB, It could already have gotten a CM and It can wreck a little bit of trouble. Kyogre can be trapped and killed by Wobbufet and then groudon can come on in set up the sun.

Wobbuffet seems like it can harm your team seeing as nothing on your team can KO it after SR. You might want to replace Gengar with Nasty Plot Darkrai being able to Sleep Something with a good accuracy move and Boost one of your stats +2 in one turn is gold. If you do this you might want to change Dialga to a Choice Scarf version to able to kill Swords Dance or changed Lugia to the standard set so You can take on Rayquaza.

I think you should change Kingdra to the Palkia Fireburn recommended seeing as you might have trouble with stall. Rock Polish Groudon seems like it can be a problem seeing as Gengar only deals 49.86% - 59.08% with HP Ice while Groudon can KO Gengar with Stone Edge and a LO. Kyogre is KOed with EQ after Stealth Rock and a round of spikes.

You mention You like to bring in your kingdra on a weakened Kyogre using Water Spout and I can't honestly get, if the kyogre was weakened it wouldnt do water spout unless your that bad of a trainer.

I dont want to continue here as I am basically making a threat list for you, our changes are not required since you do get the surpirse factor the first time you face an oponent, but if you face an oponent the second time you might have wanted our changes eeing as Standard is not bad, Standard is standard because it works. GL and I hope you stay on the leaderboard.

Scarf Shaymin-s is much better as far as anti-leads go. A set with air slash-seed flare-hp fire-earth power should work. This will give you a way to handle all of the common leads, though you will have to rely on the flinch in order to break sashes. As for your lugia I much rather prefer the standard wall in its place. Gengar is outclassed by Darkarai but if your using it as a Ray check then that's fine. Sorry I couldn't give a full rate.Gl

You will really benefit from having wobbuffet on your team, especially in the late game, where you can use it to get kingdra a dragon dance before it rips through a weakened team.

I think your weakest member here is lugia, when i played against your team, i believe i OHKOed it with an un-boosted special attack, which means its not running enough bulk to be useful as a wall, and it isn't powerful enough to function as a sweeper.I would recommend giving it choice specs at the very least if you are not going to replace it. In any case, i would replace either lugia or gengar for wobbuffet.
