What kind of damage can messing with the clock do?

I've heard Pal Park makes you wait an additional day every time you do this, and I imagine there are some berry issues that go along with this, but has anything bigger been reported? Anything that punishes you in a more permanent way? (Animal Crossing anyone?) And how does the game determine if you've changed the clock?

Don't really plan on screwing around with that much, but I just don't want to somehow screw something up down the line.

Thanks.

Most damage is having to wait an 24 hours again to pal park. Havent done it to see what happens to berries cause I need to pal park everyday. It knew I tampered with the clock and asked me "Would you like to sync this clock with the games clock?"

Or something like that.

I've been messing with the clock to get infinite Pal Park transfers (so I'm about 10 days ahead of real time).

It effects the berries it seems but not anything else.

Hopefully nothing bad happens in the long run.

I haven't messed with my game's clock, though I have changed the date so I could get a Drifloon during the week. (It worked, by the way.)

I changed the clock forward to Friday morning last night, to get Drifloon - both the clock and the date. I've turned it back since, and have suffered no problems. It does feel a bit scary, though. I don't think I'll keep changing it forwards for Pal Park.

I've messed with it once just to see what 6am looks like on the game (which btw, the bluish morning light was pretty cool imo). The only thing that it can do is make you wait 24 hours from the initial time you changed the clock before you can pal park correct? Nothing about it seems scary to me.

I missed my Honey tree harvest one day and reset the time back to about when they should have been shaking. The Honey trees did get their Honey back but instead of activating very quickly, they took another day to start shaking as if I had simply reslathered the trees. Everything went back to normal after that day.

And because I'm curious, what does Animal Crossing do to permanently punish you? Reminds me of the THIEF thing in Link's Awakening...

roaches and weeds will eventually annoy the shit out of you in animal crossing if you mess with time.

I've heard of cases where someone time travelled to friday to get a drifloon, and it wasn't there, among other weird things.

On my game, for Drifloon to appear, the game's clock has to go from 23:59 (thursday) --> 00:00 (friday). I tried time traveling straight to Friday (game clock was like 6/7 in the afternoon) and it wasn't there.

Yesterday, Tuesday 8th at about 10pm, i set my clock and date forward (on the main DS menu) to 08:00 Friday 11th. 'Floon was there waiting for me like the good little scamp he is.

yea i tried the same thing and nothing happened..

lol @ animal crossing, i travelled back to 1000 and got pwnd by the weeds

Yea, it wont't really do much ingame compared to Animal Crossing as others have said. I've done this to see Driftloon (to everyone else who did this and said it wasn't there, you need to exit the Windwoorks and re-enter it), and to get the Choice Specs. Pal Park should be no different. And besides, once you get everything you need you can just change it back to the current time and you'll still have everything. I've time-travelled in Brain Age to make sure I had a stamp everyday, lol.
