When I am king, you will be first against the wall. RMT.

Took a break after Diamond and Pearl came out. Trying to get back into the game for Platinum, but tired of the same 8 pokemon being used over and over again. So I tried to mix it up adding some BL pokemon in there. It works pretty well, but could always need the help. So without further adieu. Speed is last for my spreads.

Flash Fire
-Pursuit
-Flamethrower
-Dark Pulse
-Hidden Power: Fighting

I wanted something that could help counter most of the leads used out there now. Houndoom is EVed to outspeed max speed Weavile and the likes. I thought dumping all the EVs into speed would be pointless because Houndoom isn't fast enough to beat every other scarf lead. Regular Gengar leads hate taking a Dark Pulse or Pursuit. Azelf is the same way. Bronzong hates a Flamethrower. Weavile doesn't like HP:Fighting too much. Max special attack to maximize damage output. Pursuit OHKOs all it's fleeing foes, unless I did my math wrong that is.

-Body Slam
-Thunder Punch
-Milk Drink
-Stealth Rock

My physical wall. Miltank is very underrated. Nobody expects it to be as speedy as it is. Miltank takes the fire and ice attacks that hit my team pretty hard. Especially after Houndoom is gone. Ice would destroy Flygon and Sceptile as well. Much needed protection. Body Slam for STAB and paralysis. Thunder Punch hits Gyarados pretty hard who other wise causes problems for my team. Bulky waters in general. Sets up the rocks which is a very helpful feature to my team. Milk Drink whenever she gets low. Her high speed allows her to pull it off pretty easily.

Modest
Magnet Pull
-Explosion
-Thunderbolt
-Mirror Coat
-Hidden Power:Fire

Magnezone is my Scizor counter. Traps and kills him with HP:Fire. Eved to outspeed minimum speed Scizor. My pump a few more in there because Scizor seems to be running a few just to outspeed the Zone now. Explosion for last ditch effort. Thunderbolt for STAB. Mirror Coat is a pleasant surprise. Attracts fire moves for Houndoom to suck up and ground moves for Flygon and Mismagius.

Naive
Levitate
-Earthquake
-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast
-Roost

My mixed sweeper. Flygon is a beast. Earthquake destroys Heatran, and is also a strong STAB. Draco Meteor is STAB and even with his base 80 special attack it is still a powerful move that you don't wanna be hit by. Fire blast gets those steels that resist Draco Meteor. Skarmory and Bronzong hate it. Switches in on Earthquakes aimed at Houndoom. Gets great type coverage. Roost when he gets low.

Timid
Levitate
-Shadow Ball
-Icy Wind
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power:Fighting

My special sweeper. Takes the fighting attacks aimed at Miltank and Houndoom. Shadow Ball for powerful STAB. Icy Wind seems like an odd choice I know, but it's been pretty effective. Hit your opponent with it, and lower his speed. Either going to force a switch or pretty much force a KO. With a pseudo bolt beam it gets great coverage. Shadow Ball and HP:Fighting are great too. Thunderbolt hits those pesky Gyarados.

Sceptile@Leftovers

Bold
Overgrow
-Substitute
-Leech Seed
-Grass Knot
- Hidden Power:Rock

My Subseeder. Sceptile is arguably the best subseeder in the game. The set is pretty self-explanatory. Grass Knot for STAB. Hits Swampert and other big bulky water, rock, and ground types hard. I've tried many Hidden Powers with him, and I find rock to have worked the best. Hits Gyarados, Salamence, other flying types that cause problems like Skymin. Hits those fire types. Although it only hits Heatran for neutral.

Anyways, that's my team. I know it needs a lot of work, especially considering I've been out of the loop for some while now. Thanks guys.

A lot of people (including me) use max speed Scizor, so if your purpose with 'zone is to kill it you should switch it out. Get a Zapdos!

Well, icy wind + life orb isnt cool, simply because 3 damage x 1.3 = 4 damage to them, and 1-% to you. Since you have a good coverage, i suggest Expert Belt...

Fighting weak, if missy is dead/paralyzed

i feel that LO is needed though, since LO Timid Shadow Ball 2HKOs some 252HP/0SPDEF Neutral Natured Metagross that might just bump in to pursuit Mismagius. Ghost/Fighting hits everything for neutral, not everything for SE, so its also nice to put some punch behind that neutrality.

What exactly does your Houndoom OHKO with pursuit? Honestly, I doubt it's much with no attack EV's. Also, if you put HP Fighting only for Weavile, remove it. Flamethrower will kill it anyway. You might want to replace it with HP Electric, and give it enough speed to outrun jolly Gyarados after a DD, and put the rest of the EV's in attack for Pursuit, though honestly I would rather have you replace it with Taunt or Will-O-Wisp, but if that's what floats your boat...You could also run HP Grass over Pursuit for Swampert or some other threat.
On your Mismagius, maybe you could put Pain Split over Icy Wind unless you need it for slowing down switches or killing Dragons.
On Magnezone, an option over Mirror Coat could be Thunderwave, but as your team is relatively fast, you probably don't have any need for it.

Good luck with your team, and I hope I helped.

I wouldn't really recommend using HP Fire on Magnezone, unless that is your only Scizor counter, just remember, a neutral STAB Thunderbolt does more than a super-effective HP Fire.

scizor is double weak to fire so it does more. 280 vs 142.5

why don't you use gengar instead of mismagius? it has higher special attack and speed and learns basically the same moves.

I suggest you use Overheat or Fireblast on Houndoom. With Scarf Houndoom doesn't pack that big of a punch with flamethrower and you will likely be switching out alot anyway.

Also instead of Pursuit, Reversal. A lot of times you will be switching in and out taking SR damage. When you get to 25% or maybe even 1% reversal is a great choice,

Pursuit on your Houndoom, if those 134 are Attack EVs, will only OHKO Gengar on the switch. Azelf is only OHKOed if it roles max damage (not likely) and Azelf doesn't invest in any HP. Usually they invest to get to 300 HP, to survive a Pursuit from Weavile, (not switching) I think it was. Use Fire Blast instead of Flamethrower too.

I'm not sure on the damage output, but Miltank may have trouble with Zapdos (sweeper versions), Scizor, Salamence (Choice Specs, maybe Ddance) and other hard hitter, especially those that hit from the special specturm, since you're focused in defense.

A Sword Dance Brick Break from LO Scizor will OHKO Magnezone; 2HKO without the Sword Dance, so predicting correctly is your only option. Superpower OHKOs roughly 90+% of the time regardless of Sword Dance or not. (Minimum 334 damage, OHKO with SR 100%). Many don't invest minimum speed, so that may not be an adequate threshold.

Damage of Life Orb Draco Meteor vs. Standard Heatran: 81-96 (roughly 25-30%, 3-4HKO). This is if Hasty. It's a 3HKO it it's Naive.
Damage of Life Orb Earthquake vs. Standard Heatran: 664-781 (lol) (roughly 200-215%, OHKO).
Damage of Naive Choice Scarf Heatran Dragon Pulse vs. Your Flygon: 265-312 (roughly 75%-100%, 1-2HKO).
Damage of Same Heatran HP Ice vs. Your Flygon: 415-487 (roughly 130%-152%, OHKO).

If Heatran switches in on Draco Meteor and has HP Ice, you lose. If it has Dragon Pulse, you lose some of the time.

Mismagius would probably be better in one of three scenarioes:
1) It was Gengar with Focus Bomb / Thunderbolt / HP Ice / Shadow Ball
2) It had Choice Specs instead Life Orb, since yours has no recovery.
3) It was a SubCM variant with HP Fighting / Shadow Ball and Leftovers.
Life Orb without recovery on a fragile Pokemon isn't always good, especially since even at Timid, Mismagius only has 339 speed, far short of many Pokemon who can OHKO her.

The aforementioned Heatran beats Sceptile if he attacks when no sub is up. (372 Speed versus 372, I believe.) A Sword Dance set could be an option with Sword Dance / Leaf Blade / Dragon Claw / Thunderpunc or Brick Break or Earthquake. For the last move, you choose who you want to beat, Earthquake will beat nonNaive Choice Scarf Heatrans and slower. Thunderpunch will help against Skarmory, and Brcik Break gets Tyraniatr, Weavile, and steels.

Other than those issues, it looks decent.

And Al Alchemist, I'm from Fresno too, woo!
