ORAS OU When you have zero switch in's!!! (balance squad)

Hello everyone, after i took a break from mons for about a year i thought it would be fun to get back into it and hey, there is this new mon called volcanion to toy around with so here is the squad.

Thought process

So I started scrolling down the list mons and I saw how great the synergy is between volcanion and Mega-Scizor, plus volcanion gets in for free because of u-turn. Scizor also provides me with defog support which is a must have for volcanion

I wanted more offense and something with more speed. Something that has zero switch in's combined with volcanion. Look no further then serperior.

I still needed more speed and a great physical attacker. I needed a scarier and I was deciding between scarf garchomp or scarf terrakion. In the end I decided to go scarf garchomp since it catches a lot of people of guard (they always think of tank chomp for some reason) and it is a great late game sweeper. So I added the monster that is garchomp.

Rounding out my steel dragon fairy core is the annoying piece of chewing gum clefable. Clefable is a great mon on this team because it gives me wish and heal bell support and I just like unaware walls. Fuck set up spam and thunder wave!!!

And at last, I saw that I had a major flaw on my team. Where are my stealth rocks. I wanted to have scarf chomp on this team and clefable didn't have a lot of room for stealth rocks because I wanted a cleric on the team. At first I thought skarmory would be a great stealth rock setter but then electric types and especially mega-manectric would run house on my team so I decided with tyranitar.

The team:

Starting out with the star of the team.

FLAMESS!!!! (Volcanion) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Steam Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Ice]

I know, we all know this set, we all have used it but it is so much fun. I just like to click offensive win buttons like v-create, hyper voice (from mega-gardevoir) and of course draco meteor. Steam eruption is also a nice offensive win button. Just ohko or 2 hit ko everything in the tier.

Tinsect (Scizor) @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn

Mega scizor has great synergy with volcanion. Scizors only weakness is fire which volcanion resists and a slow u-turn allows volcanion to come in for free. One of the main switch'ins are latios and latias and that is no problem to handle for scizors. I chose to go with the defensive scizor with defog because volcanion doesn't like rocks and I didn't feel the need for an offensive scizor.

Anaconda (Serperior) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Substitute
- Leech Seed

The offensive core between serperior and volcanion is just amazing. I decided to go with a sub seed set because it can sweep when the likes of heatran are gone and it 1 v 1 chansey. I also just breaks stall in general. This is also the best serp set in my opinion.

Starscream (Garchomp) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Stone Edge
- Dragon Claw

I decided to go with a scarf garchomp because it gives me a good check for zards and talonflame which is really needed. I also wanted to try scarf chomp because I rarely use it and it is a nice late game sweeper. This mon gives me also more speed control which I really needed because serperior isn't going to outspeed everything.

Chewing gum (Clefable) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Protect

I know this set is more used for stall but I like the cleric support. Clefable gives me an answer for status spammers and a switch in for fighting type attacks which I didn't have.

Dreadnaut (Tyranitar) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 80 Def / 180 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Tyranitar fitted the last spot just perfectly. It provides me a save electric switch in and a rock setter at the same time. Having pursuit is also great so i can get rid of the lati-twins with more ease so volcanion can spam steam eruption. Superpower is for chansey when serperior is down

Problems with the team:
-When scizor is down the team gets kinda swept by sand rush excadrill because garchomp can't outspeed it.
-Dragon dance charizard X runs house if it has the earthquake.
-Electric types run dominate when tyranitar is down. Tyranitar is easy to wear down because it doesn't get reliable recovery. The wish support helps though.

-Opposing volcanion

I hope you guys like my team. I would appreciate it if you guys could help me to improve this team and feel free to use this team yourself.
