I agree. I think it's just easier to reply and tell them to use the SQ/SA thread next time. If you don't tell them anything, they may just keep bumping the thread or posting new ones since they're unfamiliar with/don't know about the SQ/SA thread.
Excuse me while I lmao out of my chair. But seriously. It's not that I'm being mean. I'm not telling the person to fuck off or anything, just that he/she/it needs to be more observant (like taking more than one second of a look at, of all pages, the first page of threads you'd normally see.)
There's a reason why these threads are always locked, ya know. It takes up space and clutters the area which normally holds other, usually intelligent discussions. Like I said before, the more you people respond to these kind of threads with actual answers to their questions, the more likely it'll be that threads like this will continue to appear, get locked, appear again, and so on.
Also, they won't normally be able to bump a thread, since threads like these, like previously mentioned, usually end up locked anyway. And if they keep making more threads like these DESPITE constantly being told about the "SQ/SA" thread, maybe they're better off not going here, and thus not deserving of your kindness in the first place.
