Whippin' up a Snow Storm (RMT)

Hail Team!

Abomasnow@Leftovers
Ability: Snow Warning
Nature: Sassy
EVs: 252 HP / 20 SpA / 160 SpD / 76 Spe
-Wood Hammer
-Blizzard
-Leech Seed
-Protect

Abomasnow is my lead and makes hail start to fall. He has Protect for scouting, two 120 BP STAB moves, and Leech Seed because it's good.

Tentacruel@Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Ooze
Nature: Calm
EVs: 204 HP / 96 SpA / 172 SpD / 36 Spe
-Surf
-Sludge Bomb
-Rapid Spin
-Toxic Spikes

My team has major fire weaknesses with all the ice types, and Tentacruel handles Fire Blast / Flamethrower well. Also, most of my team is mudered by SR, which he can spin away. Toxic Spikes are there to weaken opponents and set up for my Wallrein to stall.

Walrein@Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpD
-Protect
-Substitute
-Roar
-Surf

Walrein comes in after TSpikes are up and stalls, Roaring enemies to badly poison the entire team. Surf is there to have a STAB attack, and Walrein's SpA isn't bad.

Froslass@Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Cloak
Nature: Lonely
EVs: 216 Atk / 100 SpA / 192 Spe
-Destiny Bond
-Shadow Ball
-Blizzard
-Wake Up Slap

Frostlass stops spinners, uses Destiny Bond as a last resort, and demolishes Weavile. She's also not bad against T-Tar and Snow Cloak hacks are nice.

Mamoswine@Choice Band
Ability: Snow Cloak
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spe
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Ice Shard
-Peck

Yes, Peck is there purely to combat Heracross whose Guts I will inevitably activate. This easily could have been Weavile, but I feel like more teams are Mamoswine weak. Plus, his ability actually takes advantage of Hail.

Gliscor@Leftovers
Ability: Hyper Cutter
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Def
-Earthquake
-Aerial Ace
-Stealth Rock
-Roost

After losing to Lucario and Heracross, Gliscor is in over Swampert. Stone Edge may be better than Aerial Ace.

5/6 of your team is fire weak, and the only pokemon that isn't you haven't even put thick fat on. Scarf Heatran will run through this team in no time as will the likes of Heracross and Tyranitar.

You really need some bulk on this team, especially seeing how it is in between defensive and stalling.

A good hail team does not just pack lots of ice types, it works on disadvantaging the opponent rather than helping your team.

Most of my disadvantaging comes from TSpikes / SR. With Hail up, Ice Body is much better than Thick Fat, as I heal up and stall.

I think the final spot could easily be someone bulky, I just was not sure who to put in. I'm a sucker for themes, and want to exploit hail as much as possible (hence Mamoswine over Weavile).

The reason I was thinking of giving Froslass Choice Scarf was to have some defense against pokemon that destroy my team.

In the future, if you want to criticize I would appreciate more suggestions on how to mitigate problems and an explanation of why they exist, such as "Boah will Sub up and tear you apart", or something.

Sorry

Thinking about it, most of your criticisms were probably right, though there's no way I'm giving up Ice Body.

Being a slave to your theme kills my teams. I'm going to make some serious changes now.

Blissey

I've now got Tentacruel and Swampert to deal with my Fire Weakness, though I'll admit Tentacruel's type hurts his ability as a special wall. Frosslass will be my last line of defense, I think.

I don't ever want to use Blissey on a team because it's boring. ^^

Tyr Starmie over Tentacruel (Thunderbolt/Hydro Pump/Rapid Spin/Recover). You can kill Infernape/Heatran/ and Rapid Spin while still maintaining all the resistances Tentacruel has (Steel/Fighting/Fire) as well as Psychic/Water Resistances (When dealing with Slowbro) as Mamoswine will attract water attacks, and handles Milotic. Nature Cure also grants her switch ins for Status Problems.

Recover makes her last longer during Hail.

If you want a Wall that is immune to Hail, try Clefable (She can take Shadow Balls directed at Frosslass/Starmie). I use her and she owns:

212 Hp/252 Def/44 Sp Att.
@ Leftovers
Bold Nature

Cosmic Power
Softboiled
Fire Blast
SToss

Fire Blast for the Heracross/Metagross/Lucario/Celebi/Magnezone/Skarmary/Forretress switch ins.

She can hold her own after a few Cosmic Powers, she can even take a Lucario's Jolly Life Orb Close Combat after 1 Cosmic Power.

Also use Choice Scarf on Mamoswine if you plan on outrunning Heracross which uses Swords Dance/Cband.

Adament/240 Speed Evs= 384 Speed.

Outruns Weavile.

I'm going to use Gliscor instead of Swampert as a Hera / Lucario / etc. counter. I really need a way to stop those damn fighting types!

I would consider replacing Walrein with Suicune since you could do with the Meteor Mash resist.

Stubborn

While it's true that I may be going out of my way to support Walrein / Toxic Spikes, I have gotten several concessions from a good setup with him.
If he truly proves to be that weak, I'll change Tentacruel and Walrein to Starmie and Suicune.

I really want to keep a Stallrein with Ice Body, though.

That's what inspired me to make this team.
