Whiscash @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Oblivious
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Surf
- Earth Power
Whiscash makes some splashes in ZU ! Whiscash settles itself as the best bulky entry hazard setter in the tier thanks to its rare ability to run both Stealth Rock and Spikes, which provides great role compression on bulkier hazard-oriented teams. It is also immune to Taunt thanks to its Oblivious ability, which makes it impossible to deny hazards from it. Its good defensive typing and very solid HP stat also allow it to easily come in on the field to do its job, most notably against threatening special attackers such as Charizard and Jolteon, which fear either one of its STAB options. Tera Ghost allows it to stop Rapid Spin from Hitmontop or Sandslash in a pinch, although it prefers having a Ghost-type teammate such as Spiritomb or Sableye. With its hazards slowly wearing down its teammates' checks, Whiscash is often seen alongside strong cleaners such as Nasty Plot Mesprit and Toxicroak. It also enjoys being paired with a Pokemon that can reliably answer the Grass-types that threaten it the most, such as Glastrier, Magneton, or Weezing.
