Who cares about the title, just RMT

I have been testing a team on Shoddy lately that has given me some nice results, although I think it could need some help.
Please note that this team is for standard, not suspect.

Without further ado, the team:

Team at a detail:

The Lead:

Metaphail (Metagross) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/6 SDef
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Explosion
- Trick
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash

TrickScarf Meta is my lead, and boy it has worked well. The plan is this: Trick a Scarf into something, set up SR and explode. Mash is for basic attacking later in the game.

The physical sweeper:

Trapped Under Ice (Mamoswine) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Superpower
- Ice Shard
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Mamoswine is my physical sweeper. With a Choice Band, it can deal loads of damage. Ice Shard makes a good priority move, fixing his average speed and killing the standard Mence, Flygon and Altaria with Ice Shard. Superpower is for Bronzong, who otherwise totally walls Mamoswine. Stone Edge gives a little more power against flyers and EQ is there for good STAB.

The Special Sweeper:

BAM UR DEAD (Salamence) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 12 Atk/240 SAtk/252 Spd
Naive nature
(+Spd, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Outrage
- Flamethrower
- Brick Break

Panamaxis has recommended this Salamence and it seems to fit very well in this team. I have Brick Break for a way to kill Bliss and T-Tar without being locked into Outrage. Draco Meteor still deals loads of damage to switch-ins, Outrage helps me to clean up and Flamethrower is for steels.

The counter:

Quack? (Porygon2) @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave

This duck is simply amazing. Makes an excellent Heatran, Salamence and the best Gyarados counter in the game, and can also trap Dugtrio. Ice Beam and T-Bolt for Bolt-Beam coverage, T-Wave for sure paralysis and Recover for...well, recovering.
---
The physical wall:

Nidowin (Nidoqueen) (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Poison Point
EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/40 Spd
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Flamethrower
- Roar
- Ice Beam

An extremly underrated but powerful physical wall. Makes a good Scizor, Heracross, Machamp, Breloom and non-Ice Punch Lucario counter. Roar is there because I needed a Phazer, and Nidoqueen was the perfect candidate. Ice Beam helps against Gliscor and dragons, and Flamethrower is there for Scizor, Forry, Skarm and Bronzong.

The Revenge Killer:

Fight Fire with Fire (Heatran) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Explosion
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Grass]

CS standard Heatran, recommended by panamaxis. Fire Blast>Flamethrower for the OHKO on Gengar. HP Grass is there for Swampert, Quagsire and Gastrodon. Earth Power kills grounds and fires, and Explosion is for taking Bliss down.
Heatran also patches my Gengar and Electivire weakness.

Changes in BOLD.

First of all I'd like to thank you for the PM. This looks like a solid team. As you already know you are Gengar and Mixvire weak. Now from your comments on metagross I assume that he will die early. After Metagross is dead, blissey walls your whole team apart from mamoswine. To remedy this you could Change your SpecsMence into a Mixmence. With Draco Meteor and Outrage you will still 2HKO everything on that list, but you now have a weapon against blissey and do not have to switch out all the time.

I've used Specs Mence and I've found that with Stealth Rock damage and the special attack drop from Draco Meteor he will die quickly due to the amount of times he has to switch out. This is the mixmence spread I use if you are interested"

252 Speed, 12 Attack, 240 Sp. Atk @ life orb
Naive (+ Spe, - SpD) ( I mostly use naive to beat zapdos and other dragons but if that is not a concern to you you can change your nature to Rash and drop your speed down to 176 which will beat lucario).

Draco Meteor
Outrage
Flamethrower
Earthquake / Brick Break

Draco Meteor will be your main move here and will still deal massive damage to incoming "counters". I recommend flamethrower over fire blast because after the draco meteor drop it will still OHKO scizor and it will always OHKO skarm (before the drop). You have your choice of Earthquake and Brick Break for the last move. I will list the pros for each move:

Earthquake: OHKO's Heatran. Deals more damage to Empoleon. Earthquake is a good move for when your special attack has dropped and they send out a steel.

Brick Break: 2HKO's blissey without locking yourself into outrage. OHKO's Tyranitar.

Changing to mixmence will help you against stall because at the moment you can't do much against apart from tricking. Nothing on your team likes taking a CB bullet punch except metagross but you allude that he will be dead early in the game.

To help with this you could replace starmie with a choice scarf Heatran. Heatran can come in on anything but Focus Blast against Gengar, takes Scizors bullet punches like a champ and can outspeed and kill electivire with Earth Power, but not if it has gotten a boost so just be careful about using electric attacks straight off the bat.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
252 Speed / 252 Sp. attack Naive / Hasty

Fire Blast (this is needed to OHKO gengar, flamethrower will not)
Earth Power
Explosion
Hidden Power of you choice, I'd recommend grass for Curse Swamperts late game.

Exploding on Blissey will help you out a lot if your facing stall. This still allows you to have a revenge kill and Heatran is one of the best.

Hope I helped.

Porygon2 wants to have 252HP, 220 Def, 36 SpA, or something equally as physically defensive. It needs the extra defensive EVs to guarantee not being 2HKOed by a Life Orb Outrage, and they are so much more useful than the extraneous SpA and SpD EVs you currently have. The 36 SpA EVs guarantee a OHKO on Salamence with Ice Beam, and a minimum of 90% to Gyarados with Thunderbolt. The defensive EVs also mean that Dugtrio's CB Earthquake is a 3HKO with Leftovers.

Fire Blast on Nidoqueen could be a valid possibility as it lets you do a lot more damage to Celebi and Bronzong.

That's about all for now. Nice team.

LR.

You're right Legacy Rider, I was using the old standard on Pory2. I'll change it it right away.
About the Fire Blast, I have tried it and it just didn't work. Too many valuable misses against Scizor and Hera which costed me big time.

Thanks for your help.

P.S- I was thinking of putting Iron Head over Meteor Mash on Metagross. What do you think?

If it's an either/or choice, then Meteor mash. The attack boosts can be useful and teh sheer power is just better.

But I think that Thunderpunch will be more useful. you will still take a pretty big chunk out of Blissey, for Mence to finish off once meta is dead, but you will also have a way to deal with Gyarados who will be the number one switch in to Meta once the foe realises what set you're running.

But Twinkytoes, Gyara gets handled very easily by Pory2. And this Meta is to be used in the early game, and you don't see many lead Gyarados nowadays. So, if I see a Gyarados, I just blow up on him or trick him a Scarf while he DD's. And besides, a STAB Mash does as much as a STAB ThunderPunch.

Meteor mash is base power 75 against a Gyarados. Considering that Thunderpunch is base power 75 anyway, and you multiply that by 4 against Gyara, it will do alot more than Meteor Mash.

And I never said that Gyara was a common lead nowadays, but as soon as the foe realises what set you are running, he will switch in thinking that you have meteor mash. And it just saves Pory2 A job.

Thunderpunch just provides better general coverage nowadays anyway, and will still take a huge chunk out of Blissey.

Well, it's worth a try. That's why you use Shoddy, right? Will update later if I decide that it's worth it.

Thanks for your help.
