WHO NEEDS WEATHER?
Hello everyone… this is fatsnorlax. It’s been awhile since I posted a RMT, and I figured I liked this one. Now, I was thinking, and then it hit me… non weather is harder to pull off than a weather team because weather has the boost in power. I threw this together… it is fast enough to rival the pace of weather hyper-offense, strong enough to break stall, and just an all around good team. It has a Volt-Turn core (yeah, I know… totally unique), some wallbreakers, and some Pokes to clean up the mess… meet Who Needs Weather?!

In Depth

Latios @ Expert Belt
Levitate
Timid Nature
4hp/252Satk/252spd
-Draco Meteor
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power [Fire]
-Recover
Latios was recommended as a replacement for Salamence to solve a little rain problem. That being said, Latios trumps Volt-Turn statagies as well using its moves and stats. Boasting a 130 Satk and 110 spd, Latios can tear holes in unprepared teams.
Draco Meteor is Latios's first attack, and what an attack it is! With 210 power factoring STAB and coming off of an enormous special attack, those that don't resist it will be pulverized. It is the sheer power of this Draco Meteor that got Latios nominated for Uber time and time again before the metagame could adjust to it. Thunderbolt fries water types such as Keldeo, Politoad, and Jellicent while Hidden Power kills Steels (most notably Scizor). Recover lets Latios last longer and lets it better check some threats.
Through and through, Latios is a hugely threatening Pokemon and a welcome addition to this team.

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Levitate
Timid Nature
4hp/ 252Satk/ 252spd
-Hydro Pump
-Volt Switch
-Hidden Power [Fire]
-Thunderbolt
Remember my totally original idea of a Volt-Turn combo… well, this is part one, Rotom! Rotom is a useful little Pokemon to have, using its speed and moves to take on a variety of Pokemon including Tornadus-T, Thundurus-T and more. One weakness and a nice ground immunity give Rotom decent bulk, allowing it to take on more threats than if it didn’t have its typing, most notably Scizor. It makes a nice scout with Volt Switch and can cause headaches for some teams.
The movest is for the most part straightforward. Hydro Pump is a crazy good STAB killing Gliscor, Landorus, and Thundurus-T under the rain. Thunderbolt is a secondary STAB for when I feel like killing something and Volt Switch is for scouting. Hidden Power [Fire] surprises Ferrothorn switch ins and torches several other notable steels. Volt-Turn can put the hurt on many teams, and Rotom is a good part of it.

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Thick Fat
Jolly Nature
4hp/ 252atk/ 252spd
-Ice Shard
-Icicle Crash
-Earthquake
-Superpower
Mamoswine started out as a Stealth Rocker, but quickly proved to mean much more than that. Simply put, Mamoswine is a monster, who’s sheer STAB coverage and powe make a lot of teams quiver. Jolly lets Mamo revenge kill things like Toxicroak and Breloom that could otherwise threaten this team.
Mamoswine’s moves are all standard for ummmmm Mamoswines. Ice Shard is wonderful, and revenges many of the top threats in the tier including Landorus (not T), Gliscor, Dragonite, Thundurus-T, Tornadus-T, Tornadus, Salamence, Breloom who think they can live, and much more. Earthquake is a nice stab, hitting a ton of Pokemon with 150 power, easily tearing holes in any team. Icicle Crash gives Mamo a better Ice STAB than Ice Fang, and Superpower takes out Ferrothorns expecting otherwise.
Mamoswine… such a beast.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Technician
Adamant Nature
252hp/40atk/216Sdef
-Bullet Punch
-U-Turn
-Superpower
-Pursuit
It seems that with every OU team I build, Scizor has some sort of purpose. Nice bulk, typing, and power make it my Latios counter of choice. Scizor is also able to take out a wide range of threats like Mamoswine, Reuniclus, Alakazam, Espeon, and more. The EVs give Scizor plenty of bulk and a nice 504 attack with a Choice Band.
Scizor’s movest is standard. Bullet Punch is a crazy good form of priority, taking on several dangerous Pokemon. U-Turn kills Psychics and dents just about anything that doesn’t resist it, all while scouting and annoying people with Volt-Turn between this guy and Rotom. Superpower kills steels that could switch in on this set and pursuit kills Pokemon *cough* Latios *cough* that try to flee.
Scizor is a great Pokemon, and is at the top of the tier for a good reason.

Forretress @ Leftovers
Sturdy
Careful Nature
252hp/120def/136Sdef
-Stealth Rock
-Rapid Spin
-Volt Switch
-Pain Split
I originally had Starmie in this spot with Mamoswine as a Stealth Rocker, but I decided I needed a more dedicated Rocker. Forretress does just that, but it also spins and Volt Switches away once it has done its duty, differentiating itself from Ferrothorn. Forretress has acceptable bulk, and does what it has to do at the pace this team wants.
Forretress’s movest has some changes from the standard. Stealth Rock is used over Spikes because Spikes is too slow for this team and Stealth Rock is better anyway. Rapid Spin gets rid of hazards, helping Salamence, Scizor, and Rotom out with their frequent switching. Volt Switch means Forretress has a quick way to leave once it has done its job, and lets it keep up with the team. Pain Split is a semi reliable form of recovery that mean Forretress can actually do some damage.
Forretress Rocks and Spins.

Terrakion @ Choice Band
Justified
Jolly Nature
4hp/ 252atk/ 252spd
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge
-X-Scissor
-Quick Attack
Here’s a guy that’s shot up in usage in the last few months… and for a good reason too. Terrakion’s STAB combo, 129 attack, 108 speed, decent bulk, and 4x resistance to Stealth Rock all make it stand out. Terrakion can either clean up the mess my other Pokemon have created or start one of its own by bashing some walls.
The movest is actually pretty standard. Close Combat is Terrakion’s main STAB and destroys a huge portion of the metagame with a measly -1 in both defenses as a drawback. Stone Edge is the other half of the STAB pair, and this one also destroys what it touches 90% of the time. It 2HKOs Gliscor and bypasses what Close Combat might not. X-Scissor hits Psychic Pokemon a little harder than Stone Edge can and has better accuracy. Quick Attack can kill a weakened Pokemon that Terrakion would be outsped or speed tied by and not be able to take a hit.
All and all, Terrakion is a monster… easy to use and just as easy to decimate teams with.
Conclusion
Well, there's the team. I hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to rate/hate/steal/whatever.
