Who says you need a mega to sweep

Hey guys, I guess its time to post my first RMT in forever.
This is a very offensive team compared to my 5th gen teams which were very stall based but i wanted to use the new sticky web.

(Galvantula) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Sp Atk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Sticky Web
- Thunder
- Volt Switch
- Bug Buzz

An entry hazard that lowers pokemons speed on entry that is all that needs to be said. No but Galvantula may not be the best electric type in the game (jolteon, manectric, raikou). But Galvantula brings many things that help me, first off is the Sticky Web combined with the high speed, thunder, volt switch, and bug buzz (which now goes through substitutes) galvantula is by no means a garbage pokemon. But that being set aside his main purpose is for sticky web.

445.png

(Garchomp) @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Hp/ 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Stone Edge

This is the centre of my team the core, the sweeper. Despite all the powerful new mega pokemon of this generation whether they be tanky venasaur or powerhouse blaziken garchomp is still a force to be wreckoned with. With a swords dance boost and sticky web support it outruns most non scarfed mons in the meta and 1-2hkos them with EQ. Reasons for not running outrage are because I don't want to be locked in and earthquake is powerful enough as it is.

184.png

(Azumaril) @ Leftovers
Ability: huge power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Play Rough
- Super Power
- Aqua Jet

Now I don't always get off a belly drum, but when I do you're going to wish you never met me. That being said azumaril is SUPER powerful with belly drum but, he isn't my sweeper, and his job isn't to belly drum so I am debating running waterfall instead of belly drum and using a choice band as that gives more right off the bat power and has much lower risk of dying and despite the sheer awesomeness of belly drum azumaril, choice band azumaril is nothing to laugh at.

094-m.png

(Mega Gengar) @ Gengarite or whatever
Ability: Leviate / Shadow Tag
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Sp Atk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Sludge Bomb
- Dazzling Gleam / Focus blast

This is my revenge killer, fairy killer and special power house all in one. Dazzling gleam is run sometimes because my luck is flat out bad, focus blast has a 70% chance to hit but for me its 70% chance to miss. Sludge bomb was taken over slime wave because i like poisoning and 5 BP isnt much.

479-w.png

(Rotom - W) @ Assault vest
Ability: Leviate
EVs: 252 Hp / 230 Def / 24 Sp Atk
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Dark pulse (hidden power ice on PO)

50 Base HP is bad but this pokemons defense and special defense is nothing to laugh about, rotom walls a good chunk of the pokemon i battle online right now being able to take anything from a blaziken (i know blaziken is banned but), charizard and greninja and 1-2HKO them back. (Mega Blazikens high jump kick is garunteed 2hKo while hydro pump from rotom is garunteed 1HKO) dark pulse is ran on my rotom in game because I cant seem to breed one with HP ice :\.

227.png

(Skarmory) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Hp / 80 Def / 176 Sp Def
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird

Skarmory and Rotom are a great defensive core, now for this team I was debating putting rapid spin excadrill on instead of skarmory but my team doesn\t need rapid spin support so much but i do have a rapid spin excadrill in my box just in came. But skarmorys role is to wall pokemon like garchomp, Dragonite, Scisor, salamance, tyranitar but the special defense EVs are put in to help it survive special threats like Alakazam, Gardevoir, gengars that don\t run tbolt.

Conclusion:

My team does have its flaws for example Venasaur can kind of walk all over my team, I don\t have any fire moves / fire types to deal with him. But I think its pretty well rounded (of course if it was perfect I wouldn't need to make a RMT). So I'd like some help improving my team :), and once again sorry for the sloppy typing and grammar.

Nice team Shayupi, but i have some suggestion that will "Hopefully" make it better =)

On garchomp maybe you should try running Fire Blast to hit Steels or Iron Head to hit fairies over Stone Edge. It would be pretty helpful some you don't get walled by Fairy pokes, but i would recommend Fire Blast instead since you can trap Fairies and kill them with a sludge bomb from Mega Gengar. Also if you insist on running Fire Blast run Hasty Nature to not weaken its power. You could also try Yache Berry over Life Orb, so you can life an Ice attack and kill there pokemon. Azumarill seems find to me, though you could try Sitrus Berry over Leftovers, for immediate Health after belly drum. I like the gengar set, but maybe Focus Blast over T-Bolt, since Focus Blast allows you to beat TTar, which would be very Helpful to gengar. Wierd Rotom-W set, never seen anything like, but maybe you should run a simpler set like

Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 168 SpDef / 92 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Rest
- Will-O-Wisp

This is a pretty good set which allows you to survive longer. It is a pretty good set, and seems alot better than the one you are running so far.

Nice team overall, and i hope i helped.

Thank you, I will try the chesto resto set when i get less lazy and breed a new rotom.

As for garchomp, i was thinking about running fire blast for ferrothorn and scisor but i feel like i lose a lot of physical coverage and damage from swords dance, although i will try it out once i get to the day care xD (especially since scisor does well against a lot of mons on my team other than skarmory and rotom).

Thanks for your suggestions :)

I'm thinking of replacing thunderbolt with focus blast (despite my terrible luck with accuracy moves) and replacing dazzling gleam with substitute but im not sure if substitute will be good because I can only get 1 free sub unless i dont mega evolve

If you want to deal with venusaur, psychic on gengar might be nice but...it's kinda a waste on a moveset. For skarmory give it defog if you hate entry hazards. Choice band is honestly better on azumarill but I would recommend assault vest. Assault vest azumarill can take a hit almost all the time and it's not locked into 1 move. Suggested moveset is waterfall, aqua jet, knock off and play rough. Only thing that I have a problem with is rotom. Hp ice and dark pulse week like a waste to me and normally I give it will-o-wisp. Highly suggests this. And skarmory, ignore the spdef evs. It does to almost all fire attacks anyway. Give it max hp and defense and 4 atk. You must be very good at team building though it's a very nice team :)
