ORAS OU Who's The Mega?!

So I wanted to do an interesting OU team. One that would utilize Pokémon maybe not used so much in the OU tier and two to play mind tricks on my opponent. And that's to have a team entirely centered around only Pokémon who can mega evolve(excluding those whose megas were banned to Uber.)

Now it could use a little help. If you notice any holes that maybe I missed then I would love to hear your input. Anyhow. Here's the troop.

Aggron @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 ATK / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
-Heavy Slam
-Rock Slide
-Avalanche
-Stealth Rock

I usually lead with this guy. His EV investment takes advantage of his natural defensive bulk and above average Attack stat. This guarantees Aggron a stealth Rock setup. Heavy Slam is a great move in my opinion with Aggron being as heavy as he is, it always does massive damage especially to the fairies. Avalanche handles Landorus and common dragons and grass types.

Venusaur @ Big Root
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
-Leech Seed
-Toxic
-Giga Drain
-Synthesis

Kind of a typical Venusaur set here. EV investment makes him a great sponge for special attacks. Big Root gives advantage to Leech Seed and Giga Drain allowing maximum HP recovery. Toxic to wear down the opponent and Synthesis for reliable recovery.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 192 HP / 64 Att / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Crunch
-Stone Edge

Tyranitar is cool. Thanks to his ability and EV investment, he's pretty much a wall all around. After one Dragon Dance he's able to pummel through outspeeding most of the unboosted meta game and it's pretty much a "gg" after two DD. Especially if he comes in late in the game for a late sweep. Standard attack set to take advantage of his great STAB and Earthquake because it's Earthquake.

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 80 HP / 232 SpA / 100 SpD / 96
Timid Nature
-Defog
-Draco Meteor
-Psyshock
-Surf

EV investment allows her to be a great wall for special attackers while also allowing her to be a pretty reliable Defog user. Life Orb and Special Attack investment also allows her to pummel through a lot. Draco Meteor will OHKO or 2HKO anything that doesn't resist it. Psyshock for STAB and Chanseys and Blisseys and Surf for reliable coverage.

upload_2016-4-4_15-36-4.png
Medicham @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Att / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Ice Punch
-High Jump Kick
-Zen Headbutt
-Posion Jab

BEST. REVENGE. KILLER. EVER. Almost nothing comes back from a one on one with him. Ice Punch for dragons and grounds. High Jump Kick because duh. Zen Heabutt for flinch hax and STAB and Poison Jab for the fairies who think they can out best him.

Slowbro-Mega @ Slowbrownite
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 8 HP / 16 Def / 232 SpA / 232 SpD
Calm Nature
-Calm Mind
-Scald
-Psyshock
-Flamethrower

Who's the mega? He's the mega. Why? because thanks to fantastic natural bulk, great ability and proper EV investment, after a Calm Mind, you can neither dent him nor resist him. Scald for STAB and burns, Psyshock for STAB and those that think they can wall him, and Flamethrower because why in the world would you pass up on such a move for a water type?! Bulky water behemoth? Yes. Why, yes please.

So there it is. Mega team and all. Tell me what you think!

This is a neat little team. I'll make this quick and easy.

Aggron - Wacky little set you got there, but I think heatranny would be a great match up for your team. It gives it a nice little core between your grass type and a fire type. Seriously, it's much better.

Venusaur - This is a cute set, but walled by far to many mons and doesn't have a good defensive type without mega. I would replace it with chestnaught, as it can somewhat forfil the same role but can tank hits mutch mutch better.

Tyranitar - Y'know, scarfed tyranitar is mutch better then dragon dance, but you seem to be enjoying the whole dragon dance gimmick. But with this set, you might want to change leftovers to that berry that resists against fighting attacks so you can take a hit to set up even more!

Latias - Great set all round, but your going to need roost for some bulky recovery. Stack damage can really take it down!

Mega Slowbro - Get rid of flame thrower this instant and slap on slack off! It will help you, trust me. Recovery is increadibly viable for such a set.

k. That's it. Heres the finished team: http://pastebin.com/vUnczYf6
Honestly, your gonna need to change the name, as the dynamic has been changed. I think that you should name your team something along the lines of "Tripple psychic destruction" because that seems to be what defines the team. Having 3 amazing psychic types. Its definitly unique and I enjoyed rating it, which is all that matters.

Hey Alkasesler, this is an interesting concept for a build. Some of your sets aren't very viable though, and your EVs spreads can definitely use some tweaking. I'll try to focus on making your team viable as possible while not changing too much and keeping the whole keeping the "6 potential Mega" theme going.

Medicham, Aggron, and Venusaur without their Mega stones are outright unviable in the tier since they're outclassed by something else in virtually everything they try to do. Seeing as though Slowbro is already viable without its mega, and since Venusaur has a niche in being the most viable Chlorophyll user, I think you should run Charizard-Y > Medicam. Charizard-Y gives Venusaur weather support so it can be a powerful and fast threat given the right tools. Charizard-Y also provides you with a much needed check to M-Scizor which easily swept your team after it got up a Swords Dance or two on Aggron, Venusaur, Latias, or Tyranitar. There's two options you can go with for the Charizard-Y set, but I'll get to that a bit later.

Since Venusaur will be using the Sun that Charizard-Y provides, you'll need a different set. You should run Life Orb + Chlorophyll Venusaur > Toxic + Leech Seed Venusaur. Your Venusaur set was extremely passive, and it gives free setup opportunities to a majority of the tier, namely Steel types and, oddly enough, Clefable. Venusaur will have Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb for STAB, Hidden Power Fire to hit Steel types, and its last slot is your choice of Earthquake to hit Heatran on switch-in, Growth to boost its SpA to make it a monster under the sun, or Sleep Powder for utility.

Since your Slowbro is no longer your mega you'll obviously want to remove the Mega stone from it. The spread on Slowbro is quite odd in general since the only Calm Mind users in the tier that run an offensive spread would be Keldeo and Latios since they're fast and like to abuse their speed tier. But with other Calm Mind users, it's better to invest in physical defense rather than SpA and SpD since Calm Mind does that for you as it is. With that being said you should run a spread of 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD on Slowbro with Leftovers > Slowbronite and Slack Off > Flamethrower. Slowbro needs a recovery option outside of Leftovers and Regenerator. Unlike Amoonguss, Slowbro doesn't need to use all 4 slots on options to check the Pokemon it needs to since generally its dual STAB + Thunder Wave work well enough for it.

Onto Latias, your spread on it is quite weird since you have a lot of investment in bulk without recovery, and you don't have enough speed on it to outspeed standard Kyurem-B or Hoopa-U. You should run a spread of 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe on Latias to avoid the 2HKO from Life Orb Thundurus' HP Ice and Choice Specs Keldeo's Icy Wind.

Tyranitar isn't really a good Dragon Dance user due to its low speed tier. Even with a Jolly Nature it's still outsped after a Dragon Dance by common Pokemon in the tier such as Weavile, M-Lopunny, and Tornadus-T. The speed increase it has from Mega Evolving can allow it to get around this (M-Lopunny still outspeeds though) but since you're already using your mega slot, I think you should run Choice Band Tyranitar > Dragon Dance Tyranitar. This provides you with a fairly good stallbreaker as well as a Pursuit trapper to get rid of the Latis to support your Sun core. This is your most reliable way of breaking Chansey and best answer to stall unless you chose to run a physical Charizard-Y instead of special. It's a gimmicky and situational set, but it can function as a decent stallbreaker.

Lastly, since your team is pretty weak to Bisharp and opposing Tyranitar, I think you should run Rocky Helmet Garchomp > Aggron. Aggron in general is vastly outclassed by Skarmory, M-Scizor, and Ferrothorn as a defensive steel type, and its typing doesn't really allow it to check a lot of the common physical attackers in the tier.

This team unfortunately very weak to Low Kick Weavile, but it's the best I can think of without changing too many members of your team. You could try out Colbur Berry + Thunder Wave on either Latias or Slowbro to help.

I left a different version of the team with the same concept of 6 potential Mega Pokemon below if you wanted to try that out too.

You should also look into the Smogon Pokedex since it gives you a lot of sets for a majority of the Pokemon in the game, and provides explanations on the moveset, item choices, and EV spreads. It's very helpful for teambuilding since it also suggested partners for certain Pokemon that you might want to build around.

http://www.smogon.com/dex/xy/formats/ou/ (It links a lot of helpful threads as well)

Hope i was able to help!
