basically just a charizard tribute, dont wanna discuss competitive much, but will mention basically everything amazing about it and none of the bad stuff
 
I was discussing this with Cherub on IRC and threw around a few ideas before he posted it. I think it can be a really fun article if it's handled in the right way which I'm sure Cherub can do. Esp with all the stuff about how Zard is noobs #1 Pokemon this has potential to be amusing. Also, with Zard being Dragon/Fire as a Mega Evo that could make it even more interesting. I'm a fan but I'll see what the others think.
 
I'm all for a good n00b bash, but I won't approve for two reasons: 1) Ridiculing Zard is beating a dead horse, it's been done several times. 2) We're already well covered with Entertainment articles this issue so if anything I'd like this article to be postponed 'til the issue after.

i just want to talk about its amazing design, how it was the best early pokemon card, the special factor in being first non-legend mon with two mega evos, its appeal in the anime, why its like half of the people who play pokemons favourite mon, etc :(

ridiculing it would mean talking about competitive, which i explicitly stated in the op i wouldnt do ?_?

Still not convinced why it'd need to be an article though. I'll leave this for others to decide.
 
I see potential for this if given the right flavor. Not quite sure what that would be yet, honestly, but it definitely needs something...
 
I'd like to see a rough draft of this. I'm not a big fan of Entertainment articles that start out as "this is generally how it goes I think it's funny haha" but don't actually get off the ground. If you can provide us with at least an outline and a few main concepts, then we can assess this more thoroughly.
