Latios is Uber because of it is superior to his sister on the special attacking front' right? But, taking into account that Lati@s have almost identical movepools, and that one of them is more specially defensive oriented, does it make sense that Latios is in Ubers? No, it doesn’t, seeing as Latios has stats comparing to Garchomp’s, with Chomp ousting it in Attack, Hp, and defense. We had some very strong special attackers in OU, although one of them got voted out to UU, so now we are lacking a strong special attacker, above the usual base 110 special attack, which Latios would provide. Now, many of you would say that Latios is Uber because of it’s ability to wall special attackers while keeping up a good offensive. True, but that is something Latias could do also. True, Latios can keep up the offensive aspect better, but Latias is a much better wall, somewhat comparable to Blissey. Latios cannot keep up in Ubers, in an tier that is filled with base 180, and base 150 attacking stats, It fails to find a spot in teams, falling to Rayquaza and Deoxys-A. You may say Soul Dew makes up for it’s lackluster stats in ubers, but don’t forget that it is OHKO’ed by Deoxys-A’s Ice Punch, there is your sweeper decapitated, just like that. With the Soul Dew clause in play, Latios will become no different from Latias, just more offensive.

Why Latios deserves a Suspect test

Latios has already had two suspect tests. One in isolation, and one in 3-1. Both times it was voted Uber. The voting results are here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=74

Ice Punch is rarely used on Deoxys-F in ubers,Also i feel that you are underestimating Soul Dew Latios in Ubers.Despite this (Which is a somewhat rare case) that doesn't stop Latios from being a threatening force in Ubers.
Latias is normally used as either a Sweeper or a Supporter,Not as a wall.Blissey also does not have that great speed or special attack that latias provides.

Garchomp wasn't voted Uber for being the strongest force in OU, but because it was voted he was too strong for OU. See the difference?
A pokemon is not Uber because of it's ability in Ubers. It is Uber if it is just ... plain ... too ... powerful. Latios is too powerfull because of his attacking ability. That Latias is OU and Latios Uber shows that special attackers are more powerful than special walls. Please consider the fact that the OU metagame is physically oriented, perhaps because of Blissey. There are thus fewer special walls used on any team than physical walls. Latios would dominate the metagame in OU, and he would be just too powerful to allow in there.
If Ice Punch was used on Deoxys, Latios would be dead and it's usage would go down tenfold, and we'd have our own NU Uber.
Also, if it was used as a special wall it would be a very viable option, seeing as its special defense out pacesit's speed and special attack. The thing Lati@s are good for is to be able to soak up special hits while being able to hit hard themselves.
People would still use Latios a lot, just not quite as much. The metagame would shift toward "Destroy Deoxys," assuming Latios is in use
There is no difference, now Mence is the stongest force in OU, or Gross, or T-tar will be considered the strongest and then we will have Mence having a Suspect test (already being discussed in C&C) and soon enough OU will become the FireBot of the Metagame, a complete cesspool.
or none of that will happen because the suspect test process has fairly and effectively assessed the tiering of all the suspect pokemon pokemon that were deemed suspects in this thread made over 1½ years ago in the policy review forum. chomp is in ubers because, like every other suspect, it has been tested in all three stages of the suspect test process, which you can read about right here
