Please keep in mind this team is comprised of Pokemon I found sitting in my boxes when I had the whim to enter some Battle Tower Doubles matchs. Also keep in mind I'm very new to Doubles yeah?

Qwilfish @ Focus Sash
Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
~ Rain Dance
~ Waterfall
~ Poison Jab
~ Explosion

Gengar @ Filler Item (Shell Bell ATM :S )
Timid
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~Hypnosis
~Shadow Ball
~Thunder
~Hidden Power Ice

So, as is probably apparent by now I had enough Pokemon to cobble together a rain dance team. This is pretty simple. Gengar Hypnotises whichever Pokemon I feel is more of a threat while Qwilfish Rain Dances and end up with a nice boost in speed. Depending on how threatened I feel I will either put the other Pokemon to sleep with Hypnosis and pick of the opponents one-by-one with Waterfall or I will Explode and get my sweeper in. If the opponent has a Ghost type Gengar can Shadow Ball them to death. Gengars other moveslots are up in the air. Thunder benefits from the rain with 100% acc and a chance to hit through Protect which is always nice, but I've never used it in doubles yet so haven't actually seen if it works differently from Thunderbolt (Which was on my standard Gar which I'm currntly using). If it works any different please say >.> Hidden Power Ice is a filler also from my regular Gengar which provides ncie type coverage. Wouldn't mind replacing HP Ice with something else for Gengar to do while Fishy Explodes.

Kabutops @ Life Orb
Adamant
Swift Swim
80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
~Waterfall
~Stone Edge
~Aqua Jet
~Swords Dance / Protect

Rain Abuser. It's got a single moveset as that's how I found it, but I'm now looking at how best to change it for Doubles. I wouldn't mind Protect over Swords Dance in order to take Surfs from my next Poke. Waterfall and Stone Edge benefit from STAB and Aqua Jet can out-prioritise any weak, fast opponents who outspeed me even in the rain.

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Swift Swim
Calm
204 HP / 76 SpA / 124 SpD / 104 Spe
~Rain Dance
~Surf
~Grass Knot
~Ice Beam

Basic Rain setup EVs + Nature as that's what it came with >.> Anyways, doesn't see much use but it's there to keep the rain going for Kabutops if the 5 turn Rain from Qwilfish runs out. Leftovers are probably marginally more useful than Damp Rock as I doubt Rain will often have to last that long. Set offers decent coverage, but Surf only sees use alongside Kabutops protecting. Kinda seeking a good replacement...

So there we go, that's the team. Get rain up, kill something before eventually dying then get a true sweeper in. Thoughts/Constructive Criticisms?

To be honest, I don't have much experience in the battle tower (my Wi-Fi battle record is literally four matches), but I do know a thing or two about doubles, so let's see if I can help.

Your lead looks pretty good. For Gengar, I would consider either Wide Lens to boost Hypnosis's accuracy or Wise Glasses for the minimal Sp. Atk boost since you can't use Life Orb or Focus Sash (stupid item clause). Also, definitely go Thunder over Thunderbolt for the power and 30% paralysis rate. 70% accuracy isn't great, but it's not terrible, and you should have rain up most of the time anyway. You could consider Focus Blast so you could kill Abomosnow or Tyranitar who mess up your weather should they run away first turn, but I doubt they'll be much of a threat since the computer probably doesn't make that kind of prediction.

On Kabutops, I don't know why you're running Aqua Jet with Swift Swim, which makes you faster then pretty much everything, unless you're afraid of Fake Out users or something. I would consider replacing it with X-Scissor to deal with opposing Ludicolo, which your team has some trouble with (Quilfish can take in on, but will probably blow itself up). It also allows you to deal with many Sunny Day abusers, namely Exegcutor and Shrifty, although they'll probably kill you first with Solar Beam. You could consider Aerial Ace as well, since Toxicroak walls Kabutops sideways (and Qwilfish if you don't want to explode)--it'll leave you walled by Empoleon, though, which you'd need Brick Break to deal with. Whatever scares you most. Also, definitely go Protect over Swords Dance, since you really don't have time to use the latter in a 4v4 match (and rarely so in a 6v6 match), not to mention Protect will allow you to take Surf and avoid Explosions, Energy Balls, etc. If you feel daring, you can drop Protect altogether for another attack for coverage.

I suppose, since you threw this team together out of pokemon you found in your boxes, you aren't too keen on rebreeding, but if you feel like it, then I'd strongly suggest you change your Ludicolo to a Rain Offense EV spread for clearing a 4v4 match even faster--doubles is, in general, a more offensive metagame than singles. You probably won't need Rain Dance much, but I'd consider keeping it for back-up; if it proves completely useless, just drop it for something else. If you do rebreed, consider Hydro Pump over Surf, since Kingdra and Gengar cannot take Surf well at all, and you don't want to have to Protect all the time. You can also try out Fake Out, preferably over Rain Dance should RD become useless.

I can't help wondering how you do against opposing weather teams, especially Rain and Sun. Watch out for Toxicroak, who will suck up your water attacks, put the hurt on Kabutops with Cross Chop, threaten Gengar with Sucker Punch, and always carries the threat of Fake Out. Floatzel, likewise, could cause problems. Exeggcutor will be a real pain if it sets sun up. I don't think you'll be too bad off against a CPU, though, but if you ever feel like making this into a competitive doubles team, keep these things in consideration.
