The Littlest of Cups (a LC team)

So here's a LC team I've built up recently! I've always liked LC as a tier, it allows alot of unique Pokemon to show true potential where they wouldn't otherwise. So I decided to make a team! Please be helpful if there's anything to fix - this team definately needs some fix-ups. So here we go!

307f.gif

lol (Meditite) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pure Power
Level: 5
EVs: 196 Atk / 76 Def / 236 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Drain Punch
- ThunderPunch
- Psycho Cut

Meditite. Always a danger in the LC tier. Pure Power lets this thing be a total beast, and with Life Orb it truly destroys worlds. I've always liked how dangerous this thing sounds, and it does work well. Drain Punch is a good recovery move. Bullet Punch is for priority, and does nice damage on anything that doesn't resist it. Meditite is a force to be reckoned with.

OH YEAH MR KRABS (Corphish) @ Eviolite
Ability: Adaptability
Level: 5
EVs: 196 Atk / 76 SDef / 236 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
- Dragon Dance
- Crabhammer

Who's that brave hero saving the day? Who's everybody's favorite crab (fuck you Krabby)? Who has the coolest dance of all the crabs? No other than our good friend Corphish. Bulky, strong, this guy has it all. But seriously, I love using this thing. Not only can it be annoying with Knock Off, but it can deal nice damage with some Dragon Dancing, AQ and Crabhammber. It takes bulk nicely, and it puts off nice damage in return. What a cool guy.

bunnelby.png

Diggersby Jr (Bunnelby) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Huge Power
Level: 5
EVs: 228 Atk / 52 Def / 8 SDef / 220 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Quick Attack
- Return
- U-turn

I love this thing. Really, I do. Bunnelby is absolutely a monster, with good enough attacker to make it useful, especially with Huge Power. If Bunnelby gets a free turn to get an Agility, it's fast enough to outspeed most things, however not everything. U-Turn is if I need to get out of there, if something threatening comes in I can switch out quickly. I can see Bunnelby getting a lot of popularity in Gen 6 LC, because it's a great attacker and it does nice damage.

629.gif

:^J (Vullaby) @ Eviolite
Ability: Overcoat
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 36 Atk / 236 Def / 236 SDef
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Knock Off
- Brave Bird
- Roost

I figured I needed something to fade off hazards, while I haven't seen them much, they could put a bit of a dent in my team. So Vullaby, naturally, seemed like the natural choice. With good defenses and bulk, and Knock Off and Defog becoming popular this gen, Vullaby works great. Knock Off in particular - it can shut down alot of things that try to threaten my team, like White Herb Shellder. Air Slash isn't a bad move, because it can get flinchhax if it can, and that would help my team alot. Roost is a good recovery move in it's own, but I may give this thing Eviolite. Overall, I love Vullaby.

Howdy (Mienfoo) @ Eviolite
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 156 HP / 76 Atk / 116 Def / 36 SDef / 76 Spd
Impish Nature
- Drain Punch
- U-turn
- Fake Out
- Knock Off

If there's anything that screams "threat" in the LC metagame, it's Mienfoo, for sure. Not nearly as bulky as Meditite, but this thing is horribly dangerous in it's moveset and abilities - Regenerator allows it to be not only a bulky attacker but shrug off all damage with Drain Punch and switching out, with U-Turn it'll be doing this alot. Knock Off is backup if Vullaby's down, and plus it can do nice damage on Mienfoo here. Fake Out is to just be obnoxious if I need to, or just get quick damage when Meditite can't. Overall, I love using this thing. It's so good.

Yeehaw (Magnemite) @ Berry Juice
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 5
EVs: 156 HP / 36 Def / 240 SAtk / 76 SDef
Modest Nature
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Recycle

Do you hate fun? Do you enjoy watching others suffer? Then Sturdy Juice is the set for you. Seriously, Magnemite is the best staller because it can just keep getting it's juice back, and getting back that Sturdy. This works especially good on Guts users, as they'll take damage as they try to take down our little Magnemite buddy. It's great fun to use this thing, because watching people trying to take it down is the best. Yeehaw, indeed.

Ball O' Fluff (Cottonee) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Tailwind
To be fair..Cottonee wasn't doing anything. So goodbye, Cottonee.

So any suggestions on this team? I know there's alot of things I can improve, and it's not that bad for what I've made. I really wanted to make a LC team, and this is what I've come up with. So if there's any suggestions, please tell me. I'd love to improve.

Just one thing: Earthquake isn't STAB on Bunnelby, so replace either it or Agility with Return (note: If replacing Agility, give it Choice Scarf)

I disagree with above user, Earthquake is a great coverage move but STAB has to be somewhere on that set. I'd recommend Return over Stone Edge since all birds and fires are hit hard by return anyway except archen :(

Hey Skymin! Nice team, but there are a few things you could do to make it better. First of all, I reccomend putting knock off on mienfoo in place of rock slide, because most of the time it is an overall better move, being able to 2 hit ko misdreavus, and cripple foes since they don't have an item.
second, I reccomend changing magnemite's set to the sturdy juice set. This set is much cooler this gen now that berry juice is released, and it can stop many setup sweepers in their tracks. The sturdy juice set looks like this

Magnemite@Berry Juice
EVS: Whatever you want, i suck at evs
timid nature
~Volt Switch
~Flash Cannon
~Hidden Power Ice
~Recycle

Hidden power ice is to get the one hit ko's on incoming gligars, (magnemite is a great and successful gligar lure.) and recycle will give you back your berry juice so you may have some more lives to spare.

Next, I'd give vullaby brave bird over air slash. Air SLash may be cool because of the flinch chance, but brave bird gives you some nice ko's on pokemon like meditite and timburr. The recoil isn't bad since you have ROost. I'd see if you could put the remaining 36 evs into Attack now if you're going to use this suggestion.

Next I would give Bunnelby a Choice Scarf, and Switch Agility with Return. STAB return is much more useful then the agility boost especially when you already have +1 with choice scarf. You don't need expert belt since bunnelby is already so powerful. It is a great revenge killer and sweeper.;

Finally, I would change meditites's set to a life orb set with fake out, bullet punch, psycho cut, and drain punch. This is very good at revenge killing sweepers (swirlix), and it is actually the only check to most swirlix sweepers. It doesn't need poison jab since it has bullet punch and STAB moves to take care of Rock Ice and Fairies, and you don't need thunderpunch since you have many ways on your team already to counter slowpokes. THis set is much better overall since you can check many threats, be a poweful offensive presence, all while you can switch moves, unlike the Choiced sets.

Me again, I'd just point out that even with Eviolite, Corpish isn't very bulky, and Taunt didn't work very well when I was testing. What I'd do is replace it with Dragon Dance, which basically gives you a Choice Band and Choice Scarf after a turn.

You would do well to follow Ashley's suggestions for Meditite, first off. A spread of 196 Atk / 76 Def / 196 Spe is good for LO Meditite.
As DJQuack8D has mentioned, Taunt isn't very good on Corphish because most of its switch-ins, such as Foongus and Lileep, can hit Corphish hard with their STAB attacks. In its place, a boosting move such as Swords Dance or Dragon Dance will allow Corphish to attempt a sweep. Eviolite is fine because it makes it easier for Corphish to set up.
Regarding Vullaby, Leftovers is mostly outclassed in LC because it don't heal enough per turn to really make a very large impact; instead, Eviolite will allow Vullaby to withstand some very powerful moves, making it a much more effective wall.
Despite Vullaby already having Knock Off, I still agree with Ashley in replacing Rock Slide with Knock Off on Mienfoo just because items are incredibly important for so many LC threats such as Sturdysmashers, meaning you can never have too much of Knock Off. Knock Off is also more detrimental than Rock Slide for common switch-ins to Mienfoo such as Spritzee and Slowpoke.

Try changing Meditite's EV spread to a more efficient 196 Atk / 76 Def / 196 Spe, which will grant it slightly more physical bulk for no loss to its attack or speed.
Corphish should probably be Jolly to guarantee its ability to outspeed 19 speed pokes and Elekid after a Dragon Dance. Also consider moving the SpD EVs to Def to better take advantage of Corphish's decent physical bulk while taking most priority attacks more easily.
Bunnelby's EV spread is also inefficient. Try changing it to 228 Atk / 52 Def / 220 Spe, which will once again grant it more physical bulk without decreasing its attack or speed.

Your team is a bit vulnerable to Pawniard. While Mienfoo helps, it can be KO'd by two consecutive Iron Head's once Mienfoo's item is knocked off. In addition, Pawniard gets a very easy switch in to Vullaby's Defog, and if Pawniard gets that +2 Attack boost from either Defog or Swords Dance, you're pretty much toast. I recommend changing your Mienfoo EVs to evs: 76 HP / 116 Def / 36 SpD / 236 Spe with a Jolly nature. While you do lose 1 point in Attack and Defense, the 3 points in Speed are very helpful. Not only does it outspeed Pawniard, but it also outspeeds stuff like Meditite (who is also a bit annoying for your team), and Magnemite.

Well, DTC beat me to the point. Pawniard does pose a pretty huge problem being able to setup on Vullaby or just nab a free +2 boost on predicted Defog and wreck havoc on your team. I'd agree with the above suggestion of changing EVs to outpace Pawniard.

Another thing I'd like to point out is that do you really need Defog support? You've got 3 resists to SR and 2 neutral while it seems Vullaby is defogging for itself. Yeah, Sturdy Juice is broken, but from my time of laddering, I haven't seen SR used as much. To combat this, you could add a Pawniard of your own as ironically Pawniard is one of it's best checks if they lack Brick Break which you will add (hopefully ^-^).
