I have a question. I got to rank 8 in the wifi battle tower last month with the same 2 teams, and this week I have gone straight to rank 3 without a single win and I am scratching my head. Is it possible for other people to hack 255 ev's all around and use them in the battle tower? If it's not, I must be having a really bad luck streak or something.
 
Yep its definetly possible, i know some people that even use restore health in battle cheats just so they can get to rank 10, kinda sad =P, but yeah hacks are definetly being used on the wifi tower/leaderboards.
 
Wow, that's BS. I guess more people are cheating now than a month ago since I was able to hit rank 8 legitimately.
 
Sadly, some people will do anything to win, which just results in an overall deterioration of the quality of the Wifi Battle Tower.
 
Is there any simple way of seeing if you have become a leader in a rank/room #? With 10 ranks and 50 rooms in each rank im thinking you'd have to be extremelylucky to stumble upon your name on the leaderboards while searching randomly :B..
 
Well it used to be easier when there weren't people with 255 ev's all around, like I said I dropped 5 ranks in a day after getting up there with ease a month or two ago. I thought something was up when my 390 SA Heatran failed to KO a max speed Jolteon with Earth Power.
 
198sA heatran earth power VS 115sD (no EVs) jolteon
= 118-140 damage
jolteon HP is 140 (31 IV, no EVs)

so it will survive even without defensive EVs (unless you have choice specs or do max damage)
