i don’t necessarily agree that this is accurate. even though there are louder voices i do think most people are thinking for themselves. i think what is more accurate is that people are trying to form a “town core” which IS an important aspect of solving the game. yes, mafia will try to include themselves in the town core, but the solution isnt to stay in constant distrust of one another. just as mafia has an advantage in that they can work together, we as town need to combat that by finding other town and working with them too

i have done that, theres a group of maybe 9 town that im confident doesnt contain more than 1 mafia

if we look at the vote timing, I see this VC as pebble's attempt to vote liquid and gain cred for not being on the T/T wagons
they also had a scumread on liquid here and never re-eval'd from that, despite acknowledging arguments at 2557
