Protective Pads are very useful in a tier infested with Stunfisk, one of PU's best defensive threats, and Pokemon holding Rocky Helmet. Galarian Rapidash can get past otherwise troublesome Steel-types like Klinklang and Mawile thanks to High Horsepower, and it can take on Fighting-types like Throh consistently thanks to Morning Sun. Despite its blistering Speed, Galarian Rapidash is forced out by faster threats like Boltund and Choice Scarf Unfezant. This makes Stunfisk an excellent partner, as it can further support Galarian Rapidash with Stealth Rock and Thunder Wave. Late-game cleaners like Morpeko and Lilligant appreciate it weakening walls like Sandslash and Klinklang, respectively. In a similar vein, Galarian Rapidash appreciates wallbreakers like Appletun and Flame Orb Throh dealing with defensive behemoths like Tangela.

This, when combined with its typing, give it plenty setup opportunities its attack and speed help to give it setup opportunities? I dont see how. seems like the typing's the one doing all of that. Protective Pads are very useful in a tier infested with Pokemon holding Rocky Helmet and ones with abilities such as Static could rly just specify how common Stunfisk is rather than going "static in general". High Horsepower targets Steel-types like Klinklang and Mawile, while Morning Sun provides Galarian Rapidash with reliable recovery, and gives it more utility as a Fighting-type answer. Despite its blistering Speed, Galarian Rapidash is forced out by faster threats like Boltund and Choice Scarf Unfezant. This makes Stunfisk an excellent partner, as it can also further support Galarian Rapidash with Stealth Rock and Thunder Wave.
