XY OU Wob Wob Dubstep

Good morning all :] Today, I present to you a team that's sort of based on setting up and it uses Wobbuffet for glue n_n

Just gonna give ya a few songs you can listen to whilst reading:

Here's the team: n_n

Pokemon: Garchomp
Item: Lum Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 ATK / 252 Spe / 4 SpDef
Nature: Jolly
- Stealth Rock
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake

Garchomp, one of my favourite pokemon landed the first spot onto this team before anything. I chose to make it the SR/SD set. I chose D-Claw over Outrage or something because I didn't want to be locked into outrage, although it had more power. I also chose EQ cause the answer is obvious: why wouldn't you? Swords Dance over Fire Blast because I wanted to be able to use this mon for late game cleaning/sweeping as well as leading off with it. Also, Dragon Claw + Earthquake provide brilliant coverage. :]

azumarill.png

Pokemon: Azumarill
Item: Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 ATK / 176 Spe / 76 HP / 4 SpDef
Nature: Jolly
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower

You may be wondering first of all, why aren't i running more EVs into HP. The answer is because I've had many problems with Mandibuzz on the ladder, foul playing my Azumarill after a BD. So I gave azu enough speed to outspeed bulkier variants of heatran and most variants of Mandibuzz n_n 252 ATK is an obvious reason, and the rest split into HP and SpDef. :P Yeah, then I ran BD, Aqua Jet and Play Rough, the main moves ran on a BD Azu set. I chose Superpower because Ferrothorn is p. annoying and it helps with ohko'ing mons like suprised Bisharps.

thundurus-therian.png

Pokemon: Thundurus-Therian
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpDef / 252 Spe
Nature: Modest
- Agility
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Although Thundurus-T tends to be outclassed by the regular Thundurus, I much more prefer Thundurus-T because of it's insane potential to sweep. I tend to use Thundy as a late game cleaner and if not, it puts a dent in most teams anyways. :P So yeah, with it's monsterous spA along with a Life Orb, it does tons of damage, so I don't need nasty plot in this case. Agility to speed up the game, as the 3 moves above provide tons of coverage, (as long as Focus Blast hits >_>) So yeah, Thunderbolt's reason of being chosen is obvious and the other two moves are there for coverage.

Pokemon: Lopunny(Mega)
Item: Lopunnite
Ability: Limber -> Scrappy
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 ATK / 4 SpDef
Nature: Jolly
- Fake Out
- Frustration
- High Jump Kick
- Power-Up-Punch

Ah Lopunny. One of my favourite new mega's in ORAS. Lopunny's meant for S-Rank OU, with it's cleaning potential, sweeping potential and it can heal up one of your team mates if it gets too low. In this case, I chose the sweeping set. With Power Up Punch along side High Jump Kick/Frustration (amazing STAB moves,) it can sweep/dent tons of teams. I chose Frustration because I honestly prefer it and because if I use PuP too much and the opposition sends out a Ditto, which is hardly ever on teams in OU anymore. HJK cause it's an extremely strong STAB move. Finally, Fake Out to get rid of potential Focus Sashes and to whittle down opponents.

wobbuffet.png

Pokemon: Wobbuffet
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpDef
Nature: Calm
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Encore
- Destiny Bond

Yeah, nice and Wobbuffet. Wobbuffet is the glue of this team, allowing lots of the team to setup if I can get the opposing Pokemon into an encore and use the right move, this can let my other team members to setup easily. Counter and Mirror Coat cause it can really do a lot of damage to the opposing Pokemon due to Wobbuffet's insane HP stat. Finally, Destiny Bond for last ditch. I put max EVs into HP and then split the rest into both defenses.

hydreigon.png

Pokemon: Hydreigon
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Atk
Nature: Hasty
- Dark Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- U-turn

So yeah. Hydreigon. Although it's 4x weakness to fairy is terrible, it's still an amazing pokemon overall, providing momentum plus cleaning potential. I ran Dark Pulse as the main move as it can do quite a bit of damage + the flinch hacks ;3 Then, Draco Meteor cause Draco's a nuke and can do tons of damage. Earth Power to hit a lot of mons as steel types are annoying and U-turn to provide momentum. That's all I gotta say about Hydreigon. n_n

shiny_latios___luster_purge_by_ishmam-d61cvl8.png

Pokemon: Latios
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpDef
Nature: Timid
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Hidden Power [Fire]

So yeah. Latios. With it's speed stat at 110 BST, it can outspeed most of the tier atm. I decided to run the standard set: Draco Meteor to nuke mons, usually 2HKOing them, with Psyshock as the secondary move to spam as it still does quite a bit, doing around 50% to a Mega Gardevoir. Then, Defog to get rid of those pesky hazards :I And then I put on HP Fire for coverage. n_n

So yeah, this is my team, hope ya had fun reading it and listening to mah music ^-^ yeah, so thanks for reading frens :]

I would run Knock Off over Superpower on Azumarill, because it OHKOs everything that Superpower does pretty much:

+6 252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 344-405 (97.7 - 115%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO

I would also run 92 HP EVs for a Berry number, and 164 EVs to beat base 70s that don't invest in speed (ie Skarm). The slightly higher bulk also allows it to tank some priority a little bit better. On Lopunny, I'd either go with a SubPuP combo, a SubEncore combo, or a Fake Out + Ice Punch combo. Fake Out and Power-Up Punch certainly works, but other combos of moves may have better synergy with each other. So use Encore and PuP if you are looking for a stallbreaker, Sub PuP if you are looking for a wallbreaker, or Fake Out + Ice Punch for an anti-offense / cleaner look. I think Fake Out + Ice Punch works best with the current team. Scarf Hydreigon isn't a good set, as Fairies take the STAB moves really well (forcing you to rely more on U-Turn and general prediction). You have enough cleaners (3 by my count), so a mid-game wallbreaker look might help you more. A Life Orb set with Flash Cannon does a great job breaking up balanced cores, as Clefable is 2HKOed by Flash Cannon.

Good luck with your team!

I like to use Safeguard + Encore in Wobba, cause traps the opponent in a status move, use safeguard to give immunity to a parter set up for free and be happy :]
The team in general is pretty cool ^^

Thanks for the rate fren! :] Yeah, BD+Knock Off used to be not compatible for me; either way it works now, so I'll start using it and see how it fares. With the Hydreigon set change, i might as well run another pokemon tbh, I realized I have way too many cleaners xD so yeah, I'll think on that. And I'll see how your Lopunny spread works out n_n

Just fix your Wobbuffet set

Wobbuffet @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 52 HP / 232 Def / 224 SpD
Bold Nature
- Encore
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Safeguard

Anyways, good team :)
