taken over from Infamy
[OVERVIEW]
Woobat is the only Pokemon in Little Cup with both Unaware and Stored Power, allowing it to check setup sweepers for Baton Pass teams and sweep the opponent's team with the boosts it acquires. Woobat also has access to another useful ability in Simple, which allows it to quickly become a threatening Calm Mind sweeper without the need for Baton Pass support. While it does have good Speed, the rest of its stats are rather mediocre, meaning it's nearly dead weight without any stat boosts. Its low bulk is also an issue, limiting its setup opportunities, not to mention its typing, which leaves it weak to Knock Off and Stealth Rock. Woobat requires heavy team support to be used effectively, but its unique abilities and movepool certainly give it a solid niche in the metagame.

Moves
========
Stored Power hits incredibly hard after Woobat has boosted its stats or received boosts from a partner. Calm Mind boosts Woobat's Special Attack and Special Defense, allowing it to defeat Calm Mind Spritzee in a one-on-one scenario, thanks to Unaware. Roost gives Woobat reliable recovery, allowing it to heal off damage it takes while switching in or setting up. Heat Wave provides coverage against Steel-types, most notably Pawniard, as it is immune to Stored Power. Hidden Power Fighting can be run instead to hit Houndour as well, as it is immune to both Stored Power and Heat Wave, but Woobat won't be able to hit 14 in both defensive stats due to the drop in IVs.
Set Details
========
The EV spread and a Bold nature let Woobat hit 14 in each defensive stat, which is bolstered even further by Eviolite. The remaining EVs are put into HP. Unaware allows Woobat to check and set up on opposing setup sweepers, which can otherwise be threatening to Baton Pass teams.
Usage Tips
========
Save Woobat for late-game; it serves as the anchor for a Baton Pass team since it can't use Baton Pass itself. Once your Baton Pass chain has obtained some Defense boosts from a partner, such as Mime Jr., Woobat will be able to check numerous setup sweepers thanks to Unaware and set up alongside them. Once Woobat has accumulated enough stat boosts, sweep the opponent's team with Stored Power. A stray critical hit from a priority user or a faster Pokemon can spell doom for Woobat, and, by extension, your Baton Pass chain, so it's important to keep Woobat healthy with Roost.
Team Options
========
Torchic is a great partner, as it can reliably pass Speed boosts thanks to its ability. Mime Jr. also makes for a good teammate, as it can pass Defense, Special Attack, and Special Defense boosts to Woobat, allowing Woobat to easily set up on and defeat opposing setup sweepers, such as Bulk Up Timburr, Swords Dance Fletchling, Calm Mind Spritzee, and many others. Mime Jr. is also immune to both Roar and Dragon Tail, which is incredibly helpful for Baton Pass teams. Other common Baton Pass teammates such as Mienfoo, Togepi, and Drifloon can all pass various stat boosts to Woobat, and appreciate Woobat's ability to check opposing setup sweepers with Unaware.

Moves
========
Thanks to Simple, Calm Mind boosts Woobat's Special Attack and Special Defense by two stages each. After a single use of Calm Mind, Stored Power has 100 Base Power, hitting any foe that doesn't resist the move very hard at +2. Heat Wave provides coverage against Steel-types such as Ferroseed and Pawniard, the latter of which is immune to Stored Power. Hidden Power Fighting can also be used in the third slot, as the set would otherwise be completely walled by Houndour. However, Woobat will be forced to lose a point in either Defense, Special Attack, or Speed due to the drop in IVs, making it a subpar option, especially considering Woobat is still heavily threatened by Houndour's Sucker Punch. Roost keeps Woobat healthy as it sets up, preventing it from being easily picked off by a faster Pokemon later in the battle.
Set Details
========
A Timid nature and maximum investment in Speed assure Woobat hits 17 Speed, outspeeding Pawniard and tying with Mienfoo. The rest is put into Special Attack so that Woobat hits as hard as possible. 76 HP EVs allow Woobat to hit an odd number in HP, reducing the impact of Stealth Rock and slightly improving Woobat's longevity. The 12 EVs in Defense prevent Eviolite Pawniard's Sucker Punch from OHKOing Woobat most of the time. Eviolite improves Woobat's bulk and gives it more setup opportunities.
Usage Tips
========
Woobat can be used as an early-game wallbreaker or a late-game sweeper depending on your team's matchup. The combination of Simple, Calm Mind, and Stored Power immediately puts heavy pressure on several foes, and is quite useful for punching holes in the opponent's team early-game for that reason. The presence of Sturdy + Berry Juice Pokemon on the opponent's team, such as Dwebble, Tirtouga, and Magnemite, however, can limit Woobat's effectiveness early-game, so Woobat should be preserved for mid- to late-game if these Pokemon are still present.
Ideally, Woobat should try to set up on slower Pokemon that use special attacks, such as Spritzee and Skrelp. This allows Woobat to set up Calm Mind while healing off any damage done with Roost. Woobat can even set up on weaker super effective hits, such as defensive Chinchou's Volt Switch. Keeping Woobat healthy with Roost is important, as it is prone to being picked off by faster Pokemon and priority moves after it gets a KO. Try to avoid Knock Off, too, as Woobat is incredibly easy to revenge kill without Eviolite.
Team Options
========
Fighting-types such as Mienfoo, Croagunk, and Timburr pair well with Woobat, as they can easily handle the Dark-type Pokemon that give it trouble, such as Pawniard and Houndour, and can also serve as viable switch-ins to Knock Off users in general. Pokemon that appreciate having special walls heavily weakened or defeated, such as Life Orb Abra and Life Orb Gastly, also pair well with Woobat. Memento support from Cottonee or Drifloon can help give Woobat extra opportunities to set up Calm Mind. Woobat appreciates having Stealth Rock removed to maximize its setup opportunities, so a Rapid Spin or a Defog user such as Staryu, Drilbur, or Archen can pair well with Woobat to ensure that it stays at full health when it switches in.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Woobat has plenty of other coverage moves it can run, such as Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Shadow Ball, and Signal Beam. Charge Beam can boost Woobat's Special Attack by two stages in tandem with Simple, making it an interesting option. Knock Off is an option to cripple walls that may switch into Woobat, allowing it or a teammate to more easily deal with them later. Taunt can prevent opposing walls such as Ferroseed and Porygon from using a status move on Woobat as it sets up.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Pawniard and Houndour are immune to Stored Power, and can deal heavy damage with their super effective STAB moves or revenge kill Woobat with Sucker Punch. Houndour in particular is immune to both Stored Power and Heat Wave, only fearing the uncommon Hidden Power Fighting.
**Knock Off**: Knock Off heavily damages Woobat and removes its Eviolite, making it much easier to deal with and revenge kill.
**Revenge Killers**: Pokemon that outspeed Woobat such as Gastly, Choice Scarf Pawniard, or Choice Scarf Magnemite can revenge kill it, preventing it from sweeping.
**Utility Moves**: Taunt prevents Woobat from setting up or healing and limits Woobat's offensive potential. Encore can lock Woobat into a setup move, making it much easier to play around. Roar and Whirlwind both force Woobat to switch out, negating all stat boosts it has accumulated, which can be especially devastating for Baton Pass teams. On a similar note, Haze eliminates all of Woobat's stat boosts, bringing its sweep to a complete halt.
