world without gods (suspect RMT)

since latias got banned and salamence is in testing, i drag myself and created this team. it have been acheving some succes on the ladder but it still needs some tweaks and changes.

firstly i must state that i LOVE the new metagame without mence and latias. it's much more fun without the dragons.

on to the team

At first glance

the team's synergy works really well. azelf gets rocks, scizor keeps up the momentum, heatran takes hits, swampert scares away things and take hits, gyara sweeps, and starmie revenges stuff.

first came azelf. i needed SR and i wanted to prevent early game setup.
after that i slapped scizor for raw power.
heatran came to take fire, but i turned it into a special wall, and i must say i like it this way. swampert was something else in the beggining but i needed an electric resist so in he came.
gyara was chosen to sweep with dd, since mence and latias is gone he was a good choice
starmie is for spinning and checking opposing gyarados, as well as heatran.

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Hp/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Nature: Timid (+Spe -Atk)

- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- U-Turn

Azelf is simple. taunt stuff, set up rocks. blast steels and grass pokes, and u-turn to scout. it also helps against aerodactyl with breaking his sash.

possible changes is explosion instead of taunt. starmie can spin away the rocks but i like how azelf in most cases prevents SR from even entering the field, which gives starmie chance to attack instead.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 238 Hp/ 252 Atk/ 20 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk -SpA)

- Bullet Punch
- U-Turn
- Super Power
- Pursuit

regular CB scizor with extra Spe to outspeed opposing scizor. scizor was slapped on this team and it worked ok. i'm thinking about changing him to a scarfer or wall. any suggestions open.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 244 Hp/ 220 Spe/ 32 SpA/ 12 SpD
Nature: Calm (+SpD -Atk)

- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Taunt
- Roar

i love this heatran. with it's bulk it can take a lot of damage and taunt walls, roar stuff, and toxic stuff. and it does it without much trouble. i'm keeping heatran but maybe fooling around with the EVs would be a good idea. i'm not that good at deciding EVs for walls, so any help would be appreciated.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Hp/ 40 Def/ 216 SpD
Nature: Careful (+SpD -SpA)

- Waterfall
- Curse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

rest curse swampert. i've never had a chance to sweep with him, but i like him since he takes hits like crazy. curse can really get to people, they are often forced to switch to counters, which can be taken care of by other pokes. but i haven't had much succes with him since brelooms and grass pokes are on crack since the dragons are gone. would like to change him to something else, but i really need that electric resist.

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 Hp/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk -SpA)

- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Dragon Dance

DD gyara works wonders in the game. i go for max speed to outspeed stuff. ice fang is for breloom and otherwise it's standard set.
he can also counter breloom really well id it's not behind a sub. and i often succed in keeping rocks away from my side of the field so gyara usually can switch in easily. i changed to leftovers cuz LO kills gyara too early in the game.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 Hp/ 252 Spe/ 252 SpA
Nature: Timid (+Spe -Atk)

- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

starmie spins rocks away and threathens fire, water pokes. which is the ones i have most trouble with. i have killed many gyaradoses with t-bolt and not many pokes want to face starmie's surf. i don't get much time to recover with starmie so i was thinking of switching recover with ice beam for breloom.

thank you for reading and i hope you'll support me in healping me out :)

#edit
sry for making mistake and posting to little. it is my fist time doing an RMT. i'll do better from now on. please correct me if i fail again xD

I'd suggest a Psychic over Ice Beam to handle Breloom, as it is STAB, and can take care of that lead Machamp, who managed to kill your Azelf for example. And since you don't seem to have problems with Gliscor, which can just be Surfed in the face. However, with Dragonite and Flygon regaining their glory, Ice Beam seems like a better option actually.
Overall, I like the team, and from experience I know that it works solid out of the paper.

Rotom-Forms can hurt alot in this team especially if its scarfed, maybe running the bulky gyarados set with taunt to stop since after a set-up scarf rotom cant touch gyarados anymore.

If I would face a Rotom, I could just switch to Swampert, absorbing any incoming attack, including WoW as it rests it off, and get a free set-up. Unless it is Rotom-c. But then I can switch to Heatran, who can easily absorb its Thunderbolt quite well, as well as its WoW and Leaf Storm.

My suggestions for you is to actually change Scizor into a bulky one. I like it a lot more than the CB one. You should try it out :D
