wth? No shedinja?

I leveled my Nincada up to 25, and when I finnally let it evolve...

I GET NO DAMN SHEDNINJA?

I worked my ass off.

Why isn't this working?

EDIT: Yes, I had a spare slot.

You get both. It evolves into Ninjask and in the spare slot will be the Shedinja

I know, I didn't get my Shedinja when I evolved Nincada

I got it to work.
I bought a Pokeball, then filled my team with enough pokemon till there was only 1 slot left, then leveled it, I got my Shedinja!

It also had Swords Dance like I wanted it to! Yay.

Oh, and the first time, I only had Nincada and Skarm on my team.

Do you need to have two of the same Pokeball you got Nincada in to get Shedinja? (i.e. if I caught it in a Net Ball do I need another Net Ball?) Or do I need another POKE Ball?

No, and no. It doesn't matter, as long as you have at least one of any kind.
