WWDW OU team (While waiting for Dream World) Version 2.0

As some people have expressed some oddly insisting opposition to a bunch of my pokemons on my previous team (namely Blastoise and Regice), I figured I might as well start over.

Keep in mind though, this is a PRE DREAM WORLD team as global link isn't released yet ... and might not be for some time with all thats going on in Japan. Sure I could sav, but saving unreleased stuff isn't fair for those who can't imo (plus it avoids a ton of bitching afterward)
Oh and strategy aside, I got some conflicting naming issues on some, so opinions there would be a refreshingly quick change of pace :)

598.gif

Name: Hug Me/Hugs Pls, not sure how to name her really
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 Hp / 48 Def / 208 Sp.D
-Leach Seed
-Spikes / Stealth Rock
-Gyro Ball
-Power Whip

Quite obviously my physical wall, she comes in with her renowned dmg sponging prowess. Spikes are likely to be my chosen entry hazards with the advance of the many fighting types on top of the already big bunch of steel and ground types going around. Maybe I'll get a SR setter but thats another time. My concern though is I wish I could use Skarmory instead for phazing and longevity reasons, but with my current special wall that would cause a lightning vulnerability that I definitly don't need.

593.gif

Name: PringleGuy, or Cool Stach since the pringles reference is everywhere...if only I could use MonopolyGuy..
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Calm
EVs: 248 Hp / 168 Def / 88 Sp.D / 4 Spe
-Scald
-Recover
-Toxic
-Taunt

Wish I could think of another one but he's my special wall as of right now. This Jellicent's purpous is twofold: 1- soak up special hits, cripple and regen 2- piss off other similar pokes such as Vaporeon, Blissey and opposing Jellicent by poisoning and shutting their movepool with Taunt. The 4 speed EVs are to troll the opponent's Jellicent with a "quick" Taunt.

445.gif

Name: Zin'rokh, or maybe Bonereaver
Item: Yache / Haban Berry
Ability: Sand Veil (for all that matters, I guess I'll use opposing Sandstorm)
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Swords Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Fire Fang

Mister 4th gen breaker is up. I was debating between this set or a Scarf set but so far I'll take my chances here. No surprising EV build, but I'm gonna settle for Dragon Claw for now as +2 Outrage seems fun, but not running Lum is akin to setting my deathwish with the devil, plus I always seem to "have" to use my dragon type moves early and the locking effect pisses me off.

579.gif

Name: Mini Evil
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 4 Sp.D
-Calm Mind
-Psychic
-Recover
-Focus Blast / Hidden Power Fight

As I was suggested last time, I'll give the CM set a try, maybe I'll just go back to a static bulky set with Shadow Ball but its worthy a shot, not to say the lil guy sure does look like someone who would be a pain to take down after a bit of setup. It also helps me out deal with both stall teams better as well as allowing me to protect myself against Conkeldurr (maybe not as well as Poison Heal Gliscor, but this is pre DW so eh)

392.gif

Name: Valkyrie or Asuka
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Naive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Sp.A / 252 Spe
-Close Combat
-Overheat
-U-Turn
-Thunder Punch / Stone Edge

As I was looking for an anti T-tar/Scizor counter, I decided to give my Mienshao a sparing partner. MixNape is still pretty darn dangerous and should be a good part of my offence. Who knows, maybe I'll switch both my fightin girls on my mood but diversity calls. I'm kinda troubled with my last move however. its basicly a matter of slight power boost and shaky accuracy vs a bit less power but near unfailing accuracy. Also both will cover on flying types but then its a matter of dealing with Fire or Water.... anyone?

642.gif

Name: .... i have no idea right now as Lightning and BoltSlash are both my Jolteons' names
Item: Leftovers / Wise Glasses
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Sp.A / 252 Spe
-Nasty Plot
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Ice
-Taunt

As freaking angry as this makes me not to be using Jolteon at all, I have to give a few good points to Thundurus. Namely what I've always wanted on my Jolteons as a boosting move... Nasty Plot.... I'll keep on praying but meanwhile I may have to give cloudboy (hmm, maybe I could call him Strife for a FFVII reference) a chance. Priority Taunt is also pretty useful in stopping incoming phaze (except Dragon Tail) and the casual Baton Passers such as Mew, Smeargle and Gorebyss. Not using a Life Orb is simply cuz I don't wanna take recoil should I end up against a special wall. Nasty Plot should provide enough power to make up for the Orb loss, although if he ends up just being too frail, I'll use the Glasses instead (they aren't much, but they don't lock or recoil so oh well)
Also, maybe I'll fit Thunder Wave on it, but much like Ferrothorn its a though choice as I'd probly have to let go of Nasty Plot this time around.

As last time, comments are looked foward for (well hopefully less angry comments like at my Blastoise and Regice) and should I have missed something big then just go ahead. As I said earlier, I wish I had another special wall which would allow me to use stuff like CB Azumarill for Sandstorm teams as well as replacing Ferrothorn with Skarmory....but then again I guess that might break some of the synergy I got up there.
Oh feel free to tag in some help in deciding those names.

Moved my old team here to avoid further confusion.

620.gif

Name: Kasumi
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-High Jump Kick
-Stone Edge
-U-turn
-Taunt

Aimed to be my "lead" (although team preview kinda messes this up in a way), she runs my scouting jobs while still kicking some butts fairly well.

009.gif

Name: Blue Jon (pun at a buddy of mine)
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 6 Sp.Atk
-Scald
-Rapid Spin
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

Rapid Spin purpous as I seem to not have anything off the ground (probly should remedy that) as well as physical wall and status absorber... busy Jon sounds like he'll do great at that multitask, at least on paper.

378.gif

Name: LolTitanic
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 6 Sp.A
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Psych Up

For some odd reason I really like Regice, weird. Calm provides enough of a stat boost for him to be a beastly special wall (sadly with only lefties but still). Boltbeam coverage + TWave support worked well when i tested him on PO (back when it worked..) Psych Up is mostly cuz I did fight a few Calm Mind Suicune/Creselia during that time.

579.gif

Name: Mini Evil
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 Hp / 200 Def / 58 Sp.D
-Psychic
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Recover

Thought it wouldn't hurt to have a bulky offencive pokemon again (last gen I used a Cursebreon). I'm not sure if he's gonna be sturdy enough to shift lefties for a Life Orb or if it won't really matter though.

373.gif

Name: Ashkandi
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Fire Fang

As Multi Scale Dragonite isn't released yet I'm trying the slightly quicker version with this guy. I wanted at least 1 setup sweeper to spot when the timing presents itself.

135.gif

Name: Lightning
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
Nature: Timid
EVs: 6 Hp / 252 Sp.A / 252 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Frost
-Shadow Ball
-Work Up

Decent Team. Just a few suggestions.

There is really no point in running a Restalk Blastoise if you are running a rapid spin set. I would replace those with Mirror Coat and Sub cause you are running a Def EV set. Mirror Coat is for the special attackers that will do massive damage, but not KO you. Sub because you are running max HP.

Regice is definitely a glass cannon. One Mach Punch (not even STAB) and it is OUT. I would replace that with Registeel for a mixed wall, and because you are lacking a steel. Although Bolt Beam is handy sometimes....... Your choice.

Work Up? On Jolteon? In what world is Jolteon gonna have the time to setup?

Infernape and Pringles are good to consider.

And yeah... That's all I got. Hope this helps.

Actually the team with Regice and Blastoise was my previous one, the one people didn't seem to like at all. I just posted it for reference' sake

I'll move the spoiler to avoid further confusion.

Jolteon's Work Up was for situations where he kinda forces a switch, like when I bring him against a water or flyer, Work Up on the Switch then fire some boosted HP Ice at the ground they send me. I was probly gonna switch it to Volt Change if things were looking too bad, but hey, Jolteon isn't on my current team anymore.... so problem solved I guess.

Rest Talk on Blastoise was a kinda odd replacement of a Roosting Skarmory, only with no Spikes or Phazing proprieties, but with the added effects of ridding me of hazards and absorbing status problems. I had a few ideas for Blastoise, but since I never used a spinner before this guy, I wanted him to last (otherwise I would have taken a Starmie or something)

Regice is again part of the old crew, replaced by the Monopoly guy he was a so so wall, not as lasting as others but still sponging fairly well (although only fairly... .stupid Ice type). What Regice had that my other walls didn't was potent damaging proprieties. Of course it was nowhere close to my Jolteon, but still better then walls like Pringles and Nattorei

To be honest, I had 1 single team back in 4th gen and it was mostly aimed at full on offencive... many times I ended up telling myself I wished I had something more then just my Cursebreon as means to defend myself. So I'm kinda new to the whole defencive spectrum. What I tried to do this time was pick a set of walls before hand and then compliment them with a set of attacking pokes. I'm still not sure when or where I'd be overstepping the boundaries between having an over defencive team or just having a bunch of glass canons like I did in 4th gen (swampert lead, DD Gyarados, ScarfTran, Cursebreon, CB Scizor and ... the same Jolteon you saw already). I think I probly could pick a mixed wall as well, but I think that might be overdoing it not to say Reuniclus is doing that more or less.

Aside from Reuniclus (I already liked the lil guy back when people still didn't think much of him), I tried to pick some originality cuz I find it annoying to see the same pokemons on every single team. If I could avoid using Pringles and Nattorei... I would (supposing I knew other walls). Infernape is mainly cuz everybody and their mom are crazy about Speed Boost Blaziken and I didn't wanna do so. Chomp also falls in that kind of "past heroes" that I like.

Long story to say I still have a lot to learn, and even though I set myself some obstacles (like not wanting to use stuff like Blissey, Conkeldurr or Excadrill), I hope I can still pull something right.

Fact, if I could I would probly try to call my team "forgotten heroes" or something like that.

Well I thought about what I know of the defencive spectrum and tailored from there (which really does disappoint me with the walls I have now).

Meh, I've been wanting to use an Infernape for quite some time anyway so at least that part went well I guess.
