WWDW OU team (While waiting for Dream World)

Hello, just as the title says, this is to rate my standby team until Dream World comes out and I can get a hold of stuff like Sheer Force Nidoking, Skill Link Cinccino and Technician Breloom.
For some odd reasons I feel my offence is more shaky then my defence, but that might just be me as well (plus its late)
I'm going to presume there's a bunch of stuff I might have forgot (hense my I'm posting an RMT), so if a tweak comes to mind just feel free.

Name: Kasumi
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-High Jump Kick
-Stone Edge
-U-turn
-Taunt

Aimed to be my "lead" (although team preview kinda messes this up in a way), she runs my scouting jobs while still kicking some butts fairly well.

Name: Blue Jon (pun at a buddy of mine)
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 6 Sp.Atk
-Scald
-Rapid Spin
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

Rapid Spin purpous as I seem to not have anything off the ground (probly should remedy that) as well as physical wall and status absorber... busy Jon sounds like he'll do great at that multitask, at least on paper.

Name: LolTitanic
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 6 Sp.A
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Psych Up

For some odd reason I really like Regice, weird. Calm provides enough of a stat boost for him to be a beastly special wall (sadly with only lefties but still). Boltbeam coverage + TWave support worked well when i tested him on PO (back when it worked..) Psych Up is mostly cuz I did fight a few Calm Mind Suicune/Creselia during that time.

Name: Mini Evil
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 Hp / 200 Def / 58 Sp.D
-Psychic
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Recover

Thought it wouldn't hurt to have a bulky offencive pokemon again (last gen I used a Cursebreon). I'm not sure if he's gonna be sturdy enough to shift lefties for a Life Orb or if it won't really matter though.

Name:.... gonna have to pick one.
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus (although I wish I had Multi Scale already)
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Fire Punch

I'm not entirely sure why I'm not using Mence or Scarfdora instead... probly cuz i had a more bulky ideal when i made this team... w/e
Thought I could use a setup sweeper (like at least 1) so I took my old Dragonite. not sure what to replace for Roost when Multi Scale comes out but thats for later

135.gif

Name: Lightning
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
Nature: Timid
EVs: 6 Hp / 252 Sp.A / 252 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Frost
-Shadow Ball
-Work Up

I've always been very fond of Jolteon (well most eeveelutions to be fair... plus Arcanine... plus Absol.... lets settle for dogs).
One of my main and nearly only concern though with my old Lightning is that it lacked power boost, it still hit hard anyway but sometimes I just wished I had that little extra bit. Luckily.. well kinda is now that he's got Work Up... its not Calm Mind nor Nasty Plot... but at least its a start.

Like I said at the start it's most likely I messed up somewhere.. hopefully its more of an EV thing then an overall synergy problem but I'd still like to play around with this until I get to have my Shell Break passed Nidoking for real.

Just a few things on set suggestions:
Run Calm Mind over Shadow Ball on Reuniclus. This allows him to sweep very well and be extremely bulky. If you don't want to set up, try Trick Room over Shadow Ball. This allows him to be super slow (but actually really fast) Also, on Reuniclus, try and run Bold nature -if running TR set- but with max Hp / Sp. Def.
Roost would be much better on Nite, as well as Multi-Scale being a better choice (once you get it as you say). Also, with Leftovers seeing as DD's will get your attack and speed up enough as to were you are powerful and will be able to recover.
Try Volt Change instead of Work Up on Jolt because it is quick with good Sp. Att, making it a great scout. Also, it is Hidden Power Ice*, not Frost.
One more thing, make your EVs all divisible by four. Instead of having them add up to 510, have them go to 508.
Good Luck!

If you want, you can change work up with with charge beam on your jolteon, netting you some extra power when you go in to revenge something and then staying in.

Hmmm, iirc (like just now) you can use multi-scale dnite on the wifi ladder.

Its not a matter of if she's eligible or not, its just that Dream World isn't out yet soooo.. cuz like I said, if DW was available I'd be sporting my Sheer Force Nidoking and Skill Link Cinccino + Shell Break Gorebyss

I had Volt Change in mind for Jolteon but I thought since I was using Life Orb it wouldn't do as well since he doesn't regen like Mienshao does and I wasn't really up for a Magnet or Choice Spec

Shadow Ball on Reuniclus was to deal with opposing psychic/ghost types that could cause me some trouble.

I really would suggest changing your Reuniclus setup to this, it really does sweep like a boss if your opponent has no hard counters!

Nature: Modest
Ability: Magic Guard
Item: Leftovers
EV's: 252 HP/252 Def/4SpD
-Calm Mind
-Focus Blast
-Recover
-Psycho Shock

Wow, and out of them all I thought my Reuniclus was the best designed.. guess not.
I'm afraid this Modest build would rely too much on Calm Mind to be specially sturdy (kinda like my Umbreon used to be not so great physically defencive before her Curses). but i guess if i really do end up not using Shadow Ball as often as I thought i would, I'd try Calm Mind or even Trick Room

I think I'm actually gonna use Mence over Nite for now, he should do a better job then her until Dream World comes around.

Seriously, regice has no use in OU competitive play. What it is accomplishing for your team? Roob setup fodder? Your team lacks the power to be a offensive threat and is really mauled by OU common theats. What is Blaistoise adding anyway? Use fake out instead of taunt on your lead. Also replace blastoise for a more effective bulky water like pert or vaporeon. Get rid of regime for something that actually accomplishes something. I suggest a roob since it has great synergy alongside reuniclus. You have no way to deal
with ss teams and they are currently the most common threat in standard OU

My bad, was training a Gengar at the time for a friend.
Was meant to say a BOLD nature for the Reuniclus set I posted ^_^

Standard OU sucks balls anyways. This his placeholder team so no need to go insane over his choice of pokemons. Your right your team does have an offensive problem, yet its not a stall team. Ask yourself what you want from your pokes, stalling or offensive prowess? Being in the middle is usually not a good idea.

Its true its kind of a place holder team, but im just trying to address some of the stuff that annoyed me back in gen 4, notably having pokemons that couldnt withstand hits at all. so thats why i thought of this 1 physical wall, 1 special wall, 1 bulky offence, and the rest as offence and scouts.

Blastoise is cuz I've never really used a spinner, and I wanted something sturdier then a Starmie (also not adding another psychic type)

Regice sponges hits from pretty to very well on both side of the spectrum, it might not have a direct way to self heal past the lefties, but if that really was a problem I could always fit a Wish passer in. Also TWave spreading is fun and his Boltbeam while not amazing still is reasonable considering his bulk.

Basicly the idea is to not use the same 6 pokemon everybody uses over and over. So if Sandstorm teams really are the only thing I encounter, then sure I'll grab a CB Azumarill, or a Technician Breloom once its out, but I don't wanna use Conkeldurr just cuz everyone does so....

The setup actually worked fairly well overall when i started 5th gen on PO (before it decided to stop working), offence primarly came from my Nidoking and Cinccino but since both of them require the Dream World I gotta do with Mence, Jolteon and Mienshao for now (which I still love anyway)

Regice switches in. And hits wave to cripple the opposed foe. Your opponent brings in roob that gets the guts boost. It starts bulking up. You can psych up all day because a drain punch will hit you hard and it will win if you dumbly decides to stay. Then you have a +2 possibly +3 roob to deal with. What will stop it??

After Conkeldurr takes the TWave I'd most likely switch to either Salamence or Reuniclus. You thought I'd let Regice standing for a Conkeldurr/Excadrill??
