Well, I got a sheet with loads of questions (revision practice) for my Monday Chemistry exam.

I'm having trouble with ALOT of the questions. So, I thought, why not ask the members of the Smogon community. They're always up to help people. So, here goes:

Q2 - How does the solubility of i) a gas and ii) a solid change with temperature?
Q4 - What are the observations when Copper Carbonate is heated.
Q8 - What are the observations in the following reactions:
magnesium + steam, potassium + water and zinc + sulphuric acid
Q9 - How would separate a soluble salt from a solution of that salt?
Q12 - Using the reaction of methane and oxygen as an example, explain the term combustion.
Q13 - Ammonia is very soluble in water and is less dense than air. How would you collect Ammonia other than using a gas syringe.
Q14 - What chemical is reacted with sodium carbonate in order to make sodium nitrate (I thought it was Nitrous Oxide...)
Q15 - Why is an excess of Sodium Carbonate used? To do with the above question. Also, what is the gas formed?
Q17 - What colour flame is observed when a) sodium and b) sulphur are burned in air?
Q18 - What difference occurs if pure oxygen is used instead of air?
Q19 - What do you see if the products from 17 a and b are dissolved in water and universal indicator is added? What does this prove?

I will be grateful with all answers, as long as they're not absolutely STUPID. Please have all answers in by tomorrow afternoon (on GMT time).

Thanks a lot guys!

Solubility of gases decreases with temperature, solubility of solid increases with temp
Q4 - What are the observations when Copper Carbonate is heated.
I think it decomposes to form copper oxide (black iirc) and carbon dioxide is produced
Q8 - What are the observations in the following reactions:
magnesium + steam, potassium + water and zinc + sulphuric acid
potassium+water makes a lilac flame and it fizzes, zinc and sulphuric acid will fizz I think and produce hydrogen
Q9 - How would separate a soluble salt from a solution of that salt?
Heat the solution...
Q12 - Using the reaction of methane and oxygen as an example, explain the term combustion.
where substances react with oxygen upon heating
Q13 - Ammonia is very soluble in water and is less dense than air. How would you collect Ammonia other than using a gas syringe.
Q14 - What chemical is reacted with sodium carbonate in order to make sodium nitrate (I thought it was Nitrous Oxide...)
nitric acid
Q15 - Why is an excess of Sodium Carbonate used? To do with the above question. Also, what is the gas formed?
to ensure all the acid is used up. carbon dioxide is your gas
Q17 - What colour flame is observed when a) sodium and b) sulphur are burned in air?
sodium= golden yellow
Q18 - What difference occurs if pure oxygen is used instead of air?
Q19 - What do you see if the products from 17 a and b are dissolved in water and universal indicator is added? What does this prove?
sodium will react and form sodium hydroxide which is alkaline so dark blue universal indicator
I will be grateful with all answers, as long as they're not absolutely STUPID. Please have all answers in by tomorrow afternoon (on GMT time).

Thanks a lot guys!

did what I know off the top of my head, I'll maybe edit in stuff I forgot
