Introduction

This post is an "upgrade" of my old Mega gross team, I created this team when the suspect test the mega Metagross finished, bye

Move sets

metagross-mega.gif

Steven's Xbox 360 (Metagross-Mega) @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit

Meteor mash and zen headbutt are STAB, also so do not need much explanation, pursuit trapp twins latis and others psychic and ghost types. Bullet punch is for priority if you fear losing speed tie for diancie mega with earth power.

keldeo.gif

xInsrew (Keldeo-Resolute) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Secret Sword
- Scald
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Keldeo is on the team because it is the only resistance to dark and kill ground and fire types. I put specs on it to give maximum damage giving 2HKO in skarmory tank and chomp with scald. hydro pump is to give maximum damage on things that do not take 2HKO with scald. secret sword beats very strong in Chansey, Ferrothorn among others. HP grass is used to kill mainly Gastrodon, seismitoad this team has trouble killing and other water types

latias.gif

Lati ass (Latias) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish

Latias is on the team because it is an immunity to ground by levitate ability and access to healing wish for status heal the rest of the team and defog to remove hazards from the field.

hippowdon.gif

Hippotas (Hippowdon) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Slack Off
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge

hippo is my setter hazard and my physical wall, rocky helmet to give damage sweepers and wallbreakers physical. The set is very common so we do not need explanation.

talonflame-3.gif

Wings Combat (Talonflame) (M) @ Sky Plate
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
- Swords Dance

Talonflame is the revenge killer and possibly or sweeper team. Sky plate has the same effect of the sharp beak but I prefer sky plate for style.
weavile.gif

Weasel (Weavile) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Poison Jab
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard

Weavile is the late game cleaner with ice shard and poison jab kill gard and others fairy types.

Threatlist:

Hi Octazooka M, interesting team you've got there.

One change I'd recommend is changing Talonflame from an offensive variant to a Taunt or Bulk Up variant to give you the edge against stall teams in general. Since general revengekilling is still doable with Weavile, BP MMeta, and a slightly weaker Talonflame, I feel that having something that can serve to annoy fatter teams would greatly increase your matchup vs such teams, and also help out a bit against Gastrodon and Siesmitoad (assuming you can land an inconsequential Burn on them).

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Taunt
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Will-O-Wisp / Bulk Up

Another important change I'd like to suggest is Leftovers ---> Rocky Helmet Hippowdon. I feel this is crucial due to the immense support Leftovers provides Hippowdon in dodging 2HKOes.

Speaking of which, if you implement the Talonflame change or not, changing the Hippowdon spread to a more common 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD Impish Nature would be beneficial in providing more mixed bulk and being able to better check problem Pokemon such as Mega Manectric and Thundurus, which are big concerns for the team.

Summary of changes:
- Talonflame set above
- Lefties ---> Rocky Helmet on Hippowdon
- 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD Impish on Hippowdon.

Looks like a very interesting team, best of luck with it!

Hey Octazooka M .

  • Your team is almost completely walled by bulky Water types (especially those with Water Absorb), even with Hidden Power [Grass] on Keldeo added into the equation. However, there is something simple that can completely end your problems with Water Types: Natural Gift. With Natural Gift and a Liechi Berry, not only does Talonflame lure in things like Seismitoad, Gastrodon, Mega Swampert, Quagsire, and Azumarill, but it also can still maintain your current role as an Offensive Attacker. This isn't used very option, but it seems like a measure that would greatly benefit this team.
  • You can also run a Bulk Up Set to break past Mega Sableye and be a little bit harder for Stall to take on, just as Always! said, but this doesn't seal up your Water weakness as well, if at all.
keldeo-resolute.gif

  • I think that you should change the moveset of Keldeo to a Substitute-Calm Mind set. Not only does this make you no longer weak to Stall, but it can still beat Seismitoad and Gastrodon, who would normally force a switch if you are locked into Scald. Seismitoad and Gastrodon normally cannot deal any real damage to Keldeo, and after enough boosts it can use Secret Sword to quickly break past them. This can also be a measure to beat Mega Sableye.

  • Finally, you should change Hippowdon's moveset. I recommend a Mixed Wall set and Leftovers so you have a better chance at beating special attackers. Your team is actually very weak to Excadrill in retrospective, as Hippowdon actually helps it double your speed and proceed to KO your entire team. To mitigate this, I personally try to use leads that are similar to Hippowdon but don't setup sand, like Rhyperior. Or you could simply run Sand Force. The choice is yours.
