[XY OU] The Threats + Chansey & Latias

greninja_by_pink_angel_kitty-d6oskc6.jpg

Greninja @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Ground]

Greninja. With his ability Protean and ability to counter most big threats and always deal big damage, he is quite the threat. However, some frown at a choiced Greninja. Now why it may be silly because the whole point of Protean is coverage, with the STAB boost on everything + specs he can do some serious damage to most pokemon. However, he is EXTREMELY weak to Blissey/Chansey and can barely touch them.

Mega-Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Pursuit
- Swords Dance

This guy alone can 6-0 teams without a proper check without a problem. Set up one or two swords dances and enjoy killing everything in your path. Pursuit allows you to counter pokemon wanting to flee from the man himself, and swords dance allows you to get free power on the switch. Bullet Punch and Bug Bite (both boosted by Technician) can really hurt the enemy team. Why did I choose him? Not only does he attack with great force, his defense is FANTASTIC too. However, I know for a fact even at +2 Mega-Scizor can't kill either form of Mega-Charizard. Even though he can do big damage to them at that amount of boosts, he can't kill until +4 or +6 depending on EVs and mega form.

Togekiss @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Dazzling Gleam
- Flamethrower
- Psyshock

Where do I even start? Scarfed Togekiss. Not only does this sweet prince outspeed most major threats, he is a really good check to Outrage and other shenanigans. Scarfed Togekiss has the ability to outspeed most pokemon and flinch them to death and not even care. This thing, once ready, can easily destroy the rest of a team using his amazing ability, Serene Grace, to cause ultimate hax. No real checks to it besides Mega-Scizors scary Bullet Punch. Though, if I get the flamethrower on the switch, bye-bye Mega-Scizor.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Fire Punch
- Mach Punch
- U-turn

Did somebody say Infernape? Yes, I did. This guy with his ability to destroy most pokemon in his path is quite awesome. If Scizor is down, he can be a decent check to Sylveon and Blissey/Chansey, and also get some hype going with U-Turn. He is mainly my counter to any special walls and Mega-Scizor, making him a trusty revenge killer or a check to anything blocks my trusty special attacking teammates from sweeping. His check is mainly users of a strong Mach Punch, or anyone who can absorb his hits, such as Gliscor.

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Toxic
- Aromatherapy
- Soft-Boiled
- Stealth Rock

I didn't know Kirby was a pokemon! But seriously, this thing causes rage-quits left and right. Not only is it a check to physical AND special Greninjas, this guy can easily kill Talonflame or any other recoil user using it's massive HP. Just keep using soft-boiled, and watch as Talonflame and Mega-Charizard X suffer fate from recoil. He helps cure status, set up rocks, and toxicstall out any problems. Chansey is my brick wall. However, all walls crash one day, this gal is easy set up bait for Scizor and gets destroyed by physical fighting types.

Latias_attack_by_shiroiwolf.jpg

Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Recover
- Thunder Wave
- Psycho Shift
- Dragon Pulse

One of my favorites of all time, Latias is such an amazing pokemon. This guy is can tank hits from both sides like Chansey, but at the same time, actually deal damage. Thunder Wave takes care of any speedy threats so my other pokemon can come in and destroy it easily, or I use T. Wave for paraflinch with Togekiss. He gets a reliable form of recovery, a way to switch over status, and a decent attack. I don't know if I should run Dragon Pulse or Psyshock/Psychic though, so please help me on that. This woman is weak to knock off and dark types in general though, so beware!

Thanks everyone for reading! Please leave suggestions to what I should change or add to the lads themselves. I'll check up on this every so often, so try to leave something I should read at once. Sorry for not posting my ladder score, but I have been doing ladder matches on 2-3 servers. I seem to be 1500s (Smogon) / 1300s (Frost) / 1200s (Pandora)

Once again, thanks!
