XY UU XY UU RMT

So I started playing UU recently (I stopped playing for like a year so I'm just catching up), and I really like how the tier is and how it functions. This is my first RMT and UU Team so please don't be harsh T.T
EDIT : I've changed a lot of things to this team, so yeah.

Shelby (Cloyster) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Skill Link
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Rock Blast
- Ice Shard

[1]I chose Cloyster because it's one of my favorite leads and really gets the job done a lot of the time, and usually takes out 2 or even 3 pokes before going down. [2] Cloyster is my lead like 95% of the time, and all it really does is Shell Smash, then kill as many things as possible before dying. [3] Shell Smash is the ace in the hole, giving a ton of stat boosts in one turn, and it's usually guaranteed with Focus Sash. Icicle Spear and Rock Blast always hit for 125 BP with Skill Link, and Ice Shard is a nice priority move to outspeed things.

EDIT: This is a new set for Mega-Aggron, with different EVs and replacing Aqua Tail with Heavy Slam.

Scrap (Aggron-Mega) @ Aggronite
Ability: Filter
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 252 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Toxic

[1] I chose Mega-Aggron because it's just a HUGE physical tank, and helps to wall all the dumb physical attackers out there. [2] Mega Aggron usually comes in right after I see a dangerous physical sweeper, and most of the time it can get out a SR and/or Toxic because Filter is really good. [3] Toxic is to wear down certain sweepers, EQ hits nice and hard, and Heavy Slam hits hard because Aggron is super heavy, along with STAB.

EDIT : Alakazam is not part of my team anymore. In its place, we have Slowking.

Slowking @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Slack Off

[1] I replaced Alakazam with Slowking because 1) Alakazam shouldn't be in base form w/ Life Orb, and 2) Slowking stalls a lot of things to hell and back. [2] Slowking fills up the role of "Spam Scald Win Game", and recovering if ever necessary. [3] Calm Mind is nice to have good setups, allowing Scald to hit fairly hard, and also making Slowking a pretty good Special Tank. Psyshock is for Blissey, and Slack Off is for extra recovery.

EDIT : I replaced Chandelure with Arcanine.

My Dawg (Arcanine) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 160 SpD / 92 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Flare Blitz
- Crunch

[1] Arcanine can now actually soak up a special attack or two, and this choice was mainly because Trevenant and Jirachi are super annoying for my team [2] Arcanine can beat out certain leads like Weavile, getting them down to their Focus Sash with STAB Flare Blitz, and then killing them with ExtremeSpeed. He’s my lead the other 4% of the time. [3] Close Combat is for pesky Rock and Steel types, while everything else is just for coverage, with most of the time I just spam Flare Blitz.

Dandelion (Florges) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Calm Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast

EDIT : Replaced Toxic with Aromatherapy
[1] Florges is a really nice Special Tank, and also takes out the Fighting and Dark-types that are a hindrance. [2] Florges is a nice switch-in for things like Alakazam, Noivern, and Goodra. It can soak up a hit or two, then hit back surprisingly hard with a STAB Moonblast [3] Wish is nice to recover my dying sweepers like Chandelure or Alakazam, and heals a lot with 252 HP EVs. Protect is so to make sure I can get a Wish off, and Moonblast is so Florges isn't Taunt fodder. Aromatherapy is to get rid of status from my sweepers.

Snoop Dogg (Roserade) @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Giga Drain
- Toxic Spikes
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder

[1] Roserade has a stupidly high SpA stat and Spe Stat, and it cleans up a lot of things in the lategame that the rest of the team just can't. [2] Roserade is my lategame cleanup, after most of its counters have been removed. It's fast, it's fun, it's effective. Just like RaidCall! [3] Giga Drain can heal up alot of the damage Roserade has taken, while Sludge Bomb is for STAB and Fairies. Sleep Powder is to stop scary threats to my team, while I use Toxic Spikes near the start of the game.

So yeah that's about it.

Hi ISuckLolSup I've got some stuff I think would make your team a lot better. Let me preface this by saying this is a long read, but I think you'll find it very worth it.

OK let's start with your Aggron. Mega Aggron has a stupidly high base Defense stat, but unfortunately its typing makes it not suited to take the strong Fire, Fighting, and Ground physical attacks of the tier. It's also got a disappointing Sp. Def, leaving it prone to getting severely damaged by even resisted special attacks. Therefore, it makes much more sense to invest in Sp. Def than it does to invest in Defense. Even with minimal Defense investment, you still hard counter certain physical mons like Crobat, Cloyster, Scarf Jirachi, and others. And with a lot more Sp Def investment, it's much easier to take on a lot of special threats such as Calm Mind Jirachi, Alakazam, Shaymin, and even Hydreigon to a certain extent. So I recommend changing Aggron's EVs to something like 240 HP / 16 Atk / 252 SDef. Also, I recommend Heavy Slam over Aqua Tail because Heavy Slam gets the STAB boost and usually has a really high base power because Mega Aggron is so heavy compared to a lot of offensive Pokemon. Using an Adamant nature lets you hit quite a bit harder, but you can also use Careful if you want some more special bulk.

Now on to Florges. Think about what I said about Mega Aggron's natural bulk, and now apply it in reverse to Florges. You shouldn't bother investing all your EVs into special defense because its base Sp Def stat is already so high. Investing fully in Sp Def won't protect you from some of the strong Super Effective special attacks roaming around the tier (such as Nidoking's Sludge Wave) and with Florges's atrocious natural physical bulk, you're going to get 2HKOd by even resisted physical moves. So you should change your EVs to 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SDef with a Calm nature. This way, you're still extremely bulky on the special side and able to soak up most special hits from the likes of Mega Ampharos, Hydreigon, Mega Blastoise, and the like. However, now you're way better prepared for things like Mienshao, Machamp, Mega Absol, and many more. Note that Florges's typing is better suited to take certain physical hits - specifically, Dark and Fighting.

Now I'll talk about your Alakazam. First of all, you should basically never be using Life Orb Alakazam as long as UU has Mega Alakazam, because Mega Alakazam has a lot more speed (to outspeed Crobat, Noivern, Dugtrio, other Alakazam, and even Scarf Chandelure) and has enough bulk to live almost any priority in the tier from full HP. You should normally be using Focus Sash Alakazam when you use its base form, because it has the niche of being an emergency revenge killer that its Mega Form doesn't have. Mega Zam does everything better than Alakazam except for this. However, looking at your team I would like to suggest changing Alakazam to Slowking. You mentioned Alakazam as a Fighting resist, but it gets 2HKOd by almost all Fighting attacks in the tier. Using Slowking provides you with a Calm Mind/Nasty Plot win condition as well as providing a third member of the defensive core that checks a lot of the Pokemon the other two struggle with. For example, Florges + Mega Aggron gets destroyed by Nidoqueen and Infernape, but Slowking handily checks both of these. It also beats Crocune, which can be handy in case Roserade dies. Slowking struggles with status and Toxic Spikes, but you have 1) a cleric, and 2) a T-Spikes absorber. Look below for an importable set of Slowking that I recommend. The EVs I've suggested let Slowking switch into the Nidos from full HP with Stealth Rock up, and also let it to decently against the physical Fire-type attackers of the tier.

Now after making this change, your team looks to be really slow. So instead of Specs Chandelure, try Scarf Chandelure to make up for some of this lost speed. Even better, consider making the change to Scarf Jirachi or Mienshao because your team would love a physical attacker that's longer-lived than Cloyster.

Oh yeah, but if you do keep Chandelure, definitely use Fire Blast over Flamethrower. You've already got a nice spammable 100% accurate STAB in Shadow Ball, so why not have another one with some extra power for when you need it? Also, definitely use Trick over Dark Pulse because Dark Pulse adds 0 to your coverage and Trick can be amazingly useful for crippling switchins like Blissey and Snorlax.

Finally, your Roserade. Hidden Power Fire, while useful, isn't really all that great. Additionally, Protect is 100% useless on Roserade. Replace these two moves with Sleep Powder and Spikes/Toxic Spikes to find yourself with a Roserade that isn't completely useless whenever the opposing team has a Blissey (Roserade actually sets up hazards all over Blissey). Sleeping an opposing Pokemon is enormously useful, and hazards just make it easier for Cloyster, Slowking, and your Scarfer to net KOs on opposing Pokemon. Also, replace Magical Leaf with Giga Drain to get some recovery with your attacks, letting you stand up a lot better to Suicune and others. Now Technician is useless, so switch to Natural Cure to rid yourself of any annoying Scald burns you may have picked up.

Anyway, I really hope you found it in you to take the time to read all this, as I see a lot of potential in this team but it's just not quite there yet. I hope you were able to learn not only about how this particular team could be improved, but how to think about things like selecting and EVing Pokemon for your teams in the future (in regards to things like why I picked Slowking over Alakazam, and why I chose to EV Florges and Aggron in the ways that I did).

Hopefully the changes I've suggested to you will prove to be useful, and good luck with using this team in the future :].
