Yanmega @ Throat Spray
Ability: Speed Boost
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Tera Blast
- Protect

Yanmega takes advantage of a solid Special Attack stat, Throat Spray, and Speed Boost to become a fearsome setup sweeper, outspeeding the entire unboosted metagame after just one boost. At +1, Bug Buzz OHKOes top defensive Pokemon like Slowbro and Reuniclus and 2HKOes Umbreon and Assault Vest Cyclizar. Air Slash hits Bug-resistant foes like Slither Wing and Okidogi. Tera Blast Ground gives Yanmega an option to hit Steel-types like Hisuian Goodra and Revavroom. Protect allows for a free Speed boost while scouting for Terastallization from foes attempting to survive a hit and revenge kill Yanmega. Because Yanmega is weak to Stealth Rock, it should be paired with an entry hazard remover like Cyclizar or Maushold to keep it from getting revenge killed after suffering Stealth Rock damage. It also struggles against Steel-types pre-Terastallization, so teammates like Terrakion and Krookodile that can take care of them are needed. Yanmega also benefits from entry hazard setters like Froslass and Kleavor to help wear down foes like Suicune and Basculegion-F over time, making them easier for Yanmega to take care of late-game.

Bug Buzz OHKOs top defensive Pokemon like Slowbro and Reuniclus and 2HKOs Umbreon and Assault Vest Cyclizar at +1. Air Slash hits Bug-resistant foes like Slither Wing and Okidogi. Tera Ground Tera Blast gives Yanmega an option to hit Steel-types like Hisuian Goodra and Revavroom. Protect's ability to get +1 speed for free and scout for desperate Teras that try to survive a hit and take Yanmega out quickly is worth mentioning Because Yanmega is weak to Stealth Rock, it should be paired with an entry hazard remover like Cyclizar or Maushold to keep it healthy through repeated switches from easily getting revenge killed after suffering Stealth Rock damage even on bulkier teams using Yanmega you usually want to stay in until it dies so "repeated switches" isn't a great fit. It also struggles against Steel-types without using up Terastallization, so teammates like Terrakion and Bisharp Krookodile while Bisharp wins against jirachi, it can get caught off guard by stuff like fire blast hoodra and body press magnezone so it's not quite a blanket steel-type check that can take care of them are needed. Yanmega also benefits from entry hazard setters like Froslass and Kleavor that can help wear down foes like Suicune and Palossand not quite relevant enough to mention here Basculegion-F over time, making them easier for Yanmega to take care of in the late game.

Great job, implement and ready for GP

Bug Buzz OHKOes OHKOs top defensive Pokemon like Slowbro and Reuniclus and 2HKOes 2HKOs Umbreon and Assault Vest Cyclizar at +1 (if it also needs +1 for slowbro and reuni I suggest putting it at the start "At +1, Bug Buzz OHKOes.."). Air Slash hits Bug-resistant foes like Slither Wing and Okidogi. Tera Ground Tera Blast Ground gives Yanmega an option to hit Steel-types like Hisuian Goodra and Revavroom. Protect allows for a free Speed boost Boost (unless u want "Speed Boost boost") while scouting for Terstallization the from opponent to live Terastallization from foes attempting to survive a hit and revenge kill Yanmega. Because Yanmega is weak to Stealth Rock, it should be paired with an entry hazard remover like Cyclizar or Maushold to keep it from getting revenge killed after suffering Stealth Rock damage.
