This being my first real team, it's pretty much six pokes thrown together with movelists ganked from the stratergy on each poke. I plan to be a bit more creative in the future, but I just started battlan.
Beta team (alpha was really bad)
Polly:
Porygon2@Lefties
Trace/Modest
240 HP / 164 Def / 12 SpA / 92 SpD
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Recover
Thunder Wave
Polly is pretty good in an anti-lead position. It can take a hit like a champ and can 1 or 2HKO most popular leads. Whatever it can't kill will often be hit by a Thunder Wave before it dies, leaving the poke hobbled. Recover and lefties give it longevity.
Luthor:
Electivire@Expert Belt
Motor Drive/Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Ice Punch
Thunderpunch
Earthquake
Cross Chop
Lex serves as a physical threat with the wide coverage given by the moveset. I'm considering making another one with Fire Punch or giving him Flamethrower, as I'm feeling a bit of hurt without a fire attack on the team.
Gonzales:
Deoxys-S@Life Orb
Pressure/Hasty
160 Atk / 252 SpA / 96 Spe
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Psychic
Superpower
Fast type coverage for sweeping and the occasional revenge kill. Not much else to say, other than that I'm a filthy harlot for using him.
Forretress@Shed Shell
Sturdy/Relaxed
252 HP / 162 Atk / 96 Def
Toxic Spikes
Rapid Spin
Earthquake
Explosion
Frankly, he's only on my team because I need a spinner, and Tentacruel didn't work out for me. I might replace him with Donphan.
Dog:
Vaporeon@Leftovers
Water Absorb/Bold
188 HP / 252 Def / 68 SpA
Wish
Yawn
Surf
Ice Beam
Wish support. Yawn for switches. Should probably replace Ice Beam for something else, given that it's the fourth ice attack on my team.
Indy:
Spiritomb@Leftovers
Pressure/Modest
252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Calm Mind
Hypnosis
HP Fightan
Shadow Ball
He's not working well for me, but he's supposed to kind of be there I guess. I don't know what I was thinking when I made him, and I'm probably going to replace him with his standard defensive set.
I think my team is, if not solid, then a good start, handling a decent amount of threats pretty well, what with the boltbeam spam and all. Deoxys handles quite a lot by himself, often ripping through half a team when I get a good switch-in opportunity. As I said earlier, though, I need a better spinner than Forretress, and some fire moves would be cool. So! There's the team, please give feedback and criticism.
EDIT: How important is nature to a poke? If I get a bad nature in, say, a legend, should I try for another, or just use it as-is?
