This team was my main during the XY metagame and I would love to see it rated and see if there anything I should change in the transition to ORAS.
Basically the team is pretty balanced between offense and stall and that's why I called it Yin-Yang. Every team member complimenting each other perfectly.
Sableye (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Foul Play
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp
This single pokemon is a nightmare to offensive and stall teams alike. Will-O-Wisp is Sableye's main source of passive damage and way of lessening damage taken. It can stop physical sweepers and wallbreakers and provides useful passive damage to walls and tanks. Recover offers reliable recovery, and thanks to Prankster, it has priority. Prankster Taunt is very useful for shutting down defensive walls and halting any kind of setup. Foul Play offers the most consistent and reliable damage output. Foul Play is especially useful for nailing the physical Fire-type attackers looking to absorb a Will-O-Wisp. Leftovers is used for mandatory passive recovery, as Sableye needs all the bulk it can get. Try not to use Will-O-Wisp when a Fire-type is on the opposing side, especially Heatran which can grab a Flash Fire boost. Users of Guts such as Conkeldurr, can also benefit from your Will-O-Wisp. If you can predict these Pokemon switching in, try to use Foul Play instead.
Greninja (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 44 Atk / 212 SpA / 252 Spe

My old Greninja set was a Timid one, but with the addition of Gunk Shot to his arsenal, one has to keep up with the times and evolve accordingly. 44 Atk EVs to ensure OHKO on most bulky fairy types. The rest of the set is pretty common and straightforward.
Heatran (M) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 8 SpA / 248 SpD
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Lava Plume
- Roar
Hazard setter, Special Wall, Phazer. Heatran has a lot of uses in my team and it synergizes well with Mega-Venusaur. He absorbs WoW and Toxic and ground moves if his Balloon is intact. Earth Power to beat opposing non balloon Heatran. Lava Plume for STAB and the occasional burn. Roar to phaze. Heatran's typing is fantastic and along with Venusaur, few Pokemon can break this core.
Excadrill (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 HP

My Rapid Spinner and Thunder Wave sponge. With Mold Breaker, Rotom-W's nightmare. Excadrill job is changes according to the situation, sometimes ending a sweep by being a revenge killer if rocks aren't present, to spinning hazards out of the field or sometimes being a late game sweeper. The moveset is pretty standard, Earthquake for obligatory STAB and with Mold Breaker its fantastic. Iron Head to take care of fairies, Rock Slide to end Talonflame and Rapid Spin to clear hazards out of Dragonite's way. Focus Sash have helped me make comebacks also.
Dragonite (M) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

This monster can wreck teams if left unchecked without Stealth Rocks. I can sometimes predict a Stealth Rocks mid game and switch to Dragon Dance safely. If a super effective move hits this guy, he can live through it thanks to his natural bulkiness and his wonderful ability, Multiscale and get the Weakness Policy boost safely. From there on one can proceed to wreck the opposing team. Iron Head to obliterate fairy types, dragon dance for reliable STAB, and Extremespeed for priority.
Venusaur-Mega (F) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe

Giga Drain is Venusaur's main STAB move and helps in keeping it healthy, especially against powerful attackers such as Landorus-T. Sludge Bomb is a good secondary STAB move that is mainly used to hit Flying- and Dragon-types, and it also hits most Fairy-types super effectively. Synthesis is Venusaur's only reliable recovery move other than Rest—its low PP and ineffectiveness in most weather conditions might present an issue, but it is necessary for healing alongside Giga Drain. Sleep Powder can incapacitate a counter on the switch, ruining the opponent's plan. Getting Venusaur in early so it can Mega Evolve is extremely valuable when attempting to switch it in later thanks to the addition of Thick Fat and the increase in its defensive stats. Also, try to make sure Venusaur's HP is high whenever it switches back out. This pokemon synergizes perfectly with Heatran and makes for a good defensive core that can also hit hard.
