Team building process:
Ninetales was obvious for the sun.
I needed a good wall combo, I ended choosing Dusclops and Blissey, since they work so great together.
I needed something to abuse sun. Venusaur came up as an obvious choice because of its great speed in the sun.
Shiftry was the same thing. I needed something to abuse sun and I needed something that could set up.
Latios came in because I needed something to hit hard right off the bat. Arguably Latios does that the best in the entire metagame.
Ninetales @ Leftovers
Drought
Modest
252 Sp.Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
- Overheat
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power (Fighting)
- Dark Pulse
I just chose this to put up sun, without really knowing what to do with it beyond that. I just made it all out offensive and hoped for the best I suppose. I never really knew about Nintales and what it potentially could do, which I realise now that it's way more than just a means of getting up sun. Energy Ball is there to hit Politoed on the switch btw.
Dusclops @ Eviolite
Pressure
Impish
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Sp. Def
- Shadow Sneak
- Night Shade
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
Walls alot and lives a lot just to give back a pain split. Works wonders for my team, and I really would not want to throw it away. Will-O-Wisp is great for denying physical sweepers their sweep. Dusclops also works as the "idk what to do let's go to Dusclops as he will live the hit." Shadow Sneak also offers some priority although not that much damage, so it isn't nearly as usefull as Shiftry's Sucker Punch.
Blissey @ Leftovers
Natural Cure
Bold
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Sp. Def
- Seismic Toss
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Softboiled
Walls all special attackers without moves such as Psyshock. It can switch in on such an attacker and get up free rocks on the switch. T-wave is just there out of habit really. Maybe something else like Aromatherapy would work out better, since I already have a lot of status on my team.
Venusaur @ Leftovers
Chlorophyll
Timid
252 HP, 252 Spd, 4 Sp. Atk
- Sleep Powder
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Solarbeam
Works great the way it is. I can't count how many times I have pulled off a late game "sweep" with this thing. Great speed + Sleep Powder is really really good and you usually means you can all set up with both a sub and leech seed. The only thing walling this set is grass types, which is why Hidden Power [Fire] maybe would be good instead of Solarbeam, since it is boosted by the Sun.
Shiftry @ Life Orb
Chlorophyll
Adamant
152 HP, 252 Atk, 104 Spd
- Swords Dance
- Seed Bomb
- Sucker Punch
- Natural Power [Earthquake]
I must admit he is kinda ehh.. He can sweep entire teams, but it's rare. He is usually fodder or just a priority bot, which is a shame, but I guess he just doesn't fit the team. He was pretty much chosen in lack of better options.
Latios @ Choice Specs
Levitate
Timid
252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
Hard-hitting monster. Specs draco meteor hurts anything, even a lot of steels. Psyshock is there for Blissey, since it's STAB it does pretty good against her. Thunderbolt is there for Skarmory, when it switches in on a predicted Draco Meteor and Ice Beam is for Gliscor.
If you find any flaws or have new ideas, I am open to criticism! :)
