You whore Top Uu pokes? Think again(Ranked 13th)

Team Uber
Pwn
Nubz

Uhhh I thought i'd post my Uu team that i've been laddering on shoddy and po for the last while. It peaked me at 13th on Po (2/9/10) and 27 on shoddy (12/9/10) I posted this rmt on smogon a while back but noone there gave me very good advice on it. I wanted to get into the top ten but oh well. I started playing black wifi now but yeah.

The Team:

Loppuny @ Flame Orb
Trait: Klutz
EVs: 4hp / 252atk / 252spd
Jolly nature (+spd, -spatk)
- Substitute
- Switcheroo
- Encore
- Return

The is possibly one of the best leads i have ever used. On skilled players it only messes up 2pokes on their team but on unaware or not so skilled players it wrecks havvock. Loppuny can learn a whole spectrum of moves but the moves i picked for my set work amazing. On anything slower than it i simply set up sub. Since most players like to set up rocks the first time this is great. I continue by encoring their move. Most people will stay in the try and break the sub so thats great. After encore you just sit and fire off returns which do a chunk to anything because off lopunnys base 75attack and STAB. anything faster i simply encore first turn. If a physical poke comes in simply switcheroo over the flame orb and thats that poke ruined.

The EVs are 252jolly because it was my OU lead for some time and I had max speed out out speed all base 100s(Loppuny has base 105speed). It also enables you to speed tie with mismag, meaning if you win the speed tie you can encore their sub/trick/nastyplot. You also speed tie with scyther to encore Sd. 252atk is to get maximum power out of return.

I like to Keep Loppuny around till lategame to encore last ditch setup sweepers of outrun most of the uu game and get a minisweep with return.

Registeel @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252Hp / 168Atk / 88Spdef
Careful Nature (+spdef, -spatk)
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Thunderwave
- Rest

Registeel's main purpose is to Take hits, Set up Stealthrock, Take more hits, Wall for a while and take hits. Stealth rocks it there so I can ware down any switch-ins to registeel. Its all round a good move to have on any team. Thunderwave is to cripple any incoming arcanines or sweepers thinking of setting up on Regi. Iron head is a reliable stab and is there so i dont get walled by mismag ( i choose it over stoss for this) It also causes a paraflinch tactic after twave. Rest is there over explosion or earthquake to expand his walling capabilities.

The EVs allow registeel to live a lifeorb timid focusblast from Alakazam and +2 hidden power fighting from mismag is only a 3hko (after leftovers).

Arcanine @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 150Hp / 180spatk / 224speed
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Fireblast
- Morning Sun
- Hidden Power (ground)

Arcanine is such a beast. Thats all there is to it. Somtimes i wonder why it is only 6th most used poke (smogon uu usage stats june) You can use it for so many roles; Physical attacker, special attacked, Fire absorbed, Physical walland most of all a solid venusaur counter. ;) Fireblast is a powerfull base 120 STAB powerhouse that deals a massive chunk of damage to anything thanks to the large amount of spatk EVs. Morning sub helps to keep Arcanine alive aswell as stall PP and life orb recoil. Will-O-wisp is my main move to use first off. I can burn any incoming milotic or feraligator. I dont mind how Milotic gets the spdef boost i just like having residual damage on it. you have to watch out for them Gutsy players switching in heracross to absord the guts boost but only really reclass players to that fearing the fire move. Hidden power ground is a backup move / Filler. It lets me OHKO offensive arcanine and houndoom (after srock) and it stops me getting completely called by bulky waters.

the EVs are quite important acctually. I had a VERY bulky Arcanine set before but After Kevin (BlazinKickinChicken) seen how slow are power lacking once when i was streaming at AbrasAsylum Xat then he came up with an amazing set and i havnt turned back since.
The HP EVs allow Arcanine to live a hp ground (barely) from offensive Arcanine and tank other physical hits aswell thanks to intimadate. Timid nature and 224 speed EVs Give me enough speed to outrun all base 90s and outrun adamnt primape, leafeon and drapion. As i said before the 180spatk allow me to hit hard with fireblast.

214.png

Heracross @ Choicescarf
Trait: Guts
EVs: 4Hp / 252atk / 252Speed
Adamant Nature (+atk, -spatk)
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Pursuit
- Earthquake

Heracross is so broken in UU. Even though noone used it in OU it shouldnt have gone to UU. Oh well its here and i might aswell Abuse it. Heracross is my main ghost / psychic counter. It also rips huge through stall teams with its two amazing stabs. Once hera gets in the opponent either loses a poke or gets one seriously damaged. Megahorn and Close Combat are the two main moves used i spam megahorn instead of Cc for any ghost / psychic switchins. Pursuit is there to disops of anything weak to i, Eg Kazam, Mismag. Pursuit will outspeed and OHKO Both of them after stealthrock damage (if they stay in). When in OU heracross didnt run Earthquake but with the move to UU there is much more usage of it now.

The EVs Are pretty simple. Adamant 252atk is to get the OHKO on zam and missy and for maximum Ownage. 252 speed take me up to 269 speed outspeeding neutral base 80's which there are alot in UU. With the scarf i can also come in on a Dd from feraligator and out speed and smack him with a closecombat.

Feraligatr @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 28hp / 252atk / 252Speed
Adamant Nature (+atk, -spatk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake

TROGDORRRRRR!!! Yeah >_> Um Meet feraligatr hes a lean mean fat reducing grilling machine. Feraligator is the first setup sweeper of the team. His water typing gives great synergy with Arcanine and Heracross. I sent feraligatr in late game to take a hit, set up a Dd and sweep the rest of the opponents weakend team. After one Dragon Dance Feraligator is a powerhouse but after two he is unstopable (apart from mabye a technitop). Waterfall is STAB and gives great coverage being water, Ice punch complaments waterfall hitting the grass, dragon, electric that are water are NvE against. Earthquake orund of the typing giving perfect coverage hitting the water types and hitting electrics for Super Effective damage.

The EVs are simple: 28 gives a nice leftovers number meaning i can get maximun recovery, 252attack to help in that final sweep with max attack and 228 speed to make the sweep much easier by outspeeding alot of things.

Mismagius @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4Spdef / 252speed / 252spatk
Timid Nature (+spd, - atk)
- Substitute
- Nastyplot
- ShadowBall
- Hidden Power (fighting)

Misssy, Yup. One of the most used pokes in the uu metagame. With great speed and special attack with a nice +2setup move it can become an amazing threat if your teams not prepared. Missy is my mid game sweeper weakening the opposing teamweak enough for Feraligator or heracross to come and clean up later. Somtimes missy makes the whole sweep by herself but thats for a differant story. ShadowBall is my main move and its aGood STAb attack. Hidden power fighting gives perfect coverage alongside shadowball. After +4 it will 2HKO Registeel and shadowball will OHKO the whole uu metagame. (nearly) sub is to scout switching like absol or spiritomb. It also stops status moves from ruining a sweep. Nastyplot is a great move on a special sweeper giving it +2 spatk right away and missy is no exeption.

The EVs give it the msot sweeping potential with 252speed to tie with other mismag and 252spatk to get as much damage off before it dies.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that took forever to write and noone is prolly even going to read this >_> Oh well i didnt have much else to do.

There will be alot of spelling mistake, punctuation and stuff because the keyboard on my laptop is Fucked >_>

If anyone is new to the uu metagame i highly sudgest using this team. It may not have the best synergy or best offensive pokes but it got me to 13th (would be in top 10 but Po is such a when it comes to hax.

GOGOGOGOGO Rate / Steal team as your own / Enjoy

Looks like a well built team and congrats on the peak.

Just one query though; do you really need both Close Combat and Earthquake on the same set? Who is Earthquake supposedly for that neither Megahorn or Close Combat could deal with? Plus being locked into Earthquake would mean that a Pokémon would capitalize on their immunity and be granted a free turn to set up, and maybe even sweep. I'd suggest replacing it with Aerial Ace to deal with opposing Heracross', nail Venasaur with perfect Accuracy, or Sleep Talk so you can pose as your team's only Sleep Fodder.

I'm loving the use of Lopunny in UU c:

Thanks for the rate. I allways spammed Megahorn but near the end of the game if i know there is not to resist Eq i use it. Because Venusaur is usually paired with registeel so the only move that hits them moth for neutral is Eq.

I found that my team didnt have a sleep absorber so i will defo try sleep talk on hera because that guts boost will be like a band and scarf.

Thanks

I see a really big Moltres weakness in this team, especially when paired with hazards. Moltres can quite easily sweep this team due to your 2 fastest pokemon (Missy and Lopunny) are unable to hit it super effectively. Moltres can also come in on most of your team too, especially Hera because he resists/takes fuck all damage/or is immune to everything on the Set.
To fix this i recommend you put Stone Edge on Heracross, so he is no longer walled by Moltres.
This Team also has Issues with Milotic, so recommend that you also change HP fighting to Thunderbolt on Missy, so you actually have something that can hit it super effectively, but i really think the best solution would be to add a Venusaur, I dont no where, but it should go some where....
GL with the Team, weather you take my advice or not.

HP Rock > HP Ground on Arcanine, helps against Moltres, otherwise Arcanine is just bait for Moltres to come in. Also, Stone Edge on Heracross deals with Flying types, which is more useful than EQ for Fire types

also, make sure Arcanine reaches 310 speed which beats Rotom. Not sure if you did that as you said outspeeding base 90s not 91
