Offensive Yveltal is one of the strongest attackers in Godly Gift, and it's one of the premier gods for offensive and balance teams thanks to its ability to donate incredible HP and mixed attacking stats. The combination of Dark Pulse and Oblivion Wing hits a plethora of metagame staples for super effective damage, such as Necrozma-DM, Calyrex-I, Tangrowth, and Volcarona. Yveltal hits an overwhelming majority of the tier for at least neutral damage, chunking common walls like Rotom-W, Heatran, and Corviknight. Dark Pulse is one of the strongest Dark-type moves in the tier thanks to Dark Aura, and Oblivion Wing also provides much-welcome recovery to offset Life Orb recoil. Taunt lets Yvetal easily make progress against more defensive teams, shutting down Pokemon that rely on their status moves like Pyukumuku and Giratina, as well as denying the likes of Gastrodon, Vaporeon, and Corviknight recovery so that it can comfortably beat them. Roost can be used to provide reliable recovery. Heat Wave enables Yveltal to beat common Steel-types which can withstand its STAB moves, like Ferrothorn, Klefki, and Bisharp, and is its best option against Tapu Koko. Sucker Punch can also be used to give Yveltal the ability to revenge kill faster threats, like Dracozolt, Venusaur under weather, and Kartana. Sucker Punch should be run with a Mild nature. Yveltal can also run a Timid nature, as it outspeeds a plethora of common gods and their receivers, notably Rayquaza, Kyogre, Volcanion, and Landorus-T.

Yveltal is best paired with Pokemon that take advantage of its high HP and offensive stats. Pokemon with low HP such as Rotom-W, Landorus-T, and Tornadus-T make great candidates for the HP slot. These defensive Pokemon have great synergy alongside Yveltal, as they're able to pivot it onto the field safely and provide much needed entry hazard removal, something Yveltal appreciates due to its Stealth Rock weakness. Yveltal pairs well with fast offensive receivers like Tapu Koko and Zeraora, as well as Attack receivers with powerful STAB moves like Zygarde-10% and Victini. Electric-types such as Zeraora and Magnezone can threaten Yveltal, so running checks such as Landorus-T, Tangrowth, and Ferrothorn make for a reliable defensive backbone. Similarly, Fairy-types like Tapu Koko and Clefable also pose an issue for Yveltal, so running Steel- and Poison-types to deal with them like Heatran, Kartana, and Nihilego helps against them. Yveltal appreciates Defog support from teammates like Rotom-W and Landorus-T to offset its weakness to Stealth Rock.

Choice Scarf Yveltal is an excellent revenge killer, outspeeding and checking faster Pokemon such as Victini, Zeraora, and Kartana, while also outspeeding the faster gods and their receivers like Pheromosa, Mewtwo, and Zamazenta-C. Furthermore, thanks to Foul Play, it's a check to most physical setup sweepers like Zekrom, Rayquaza, and Bisharp. Oblivion Wing threatens common Fighting- and Grass-types while also providing Yveltal with passive recovery. U-turn lets Yveltal wear down switch-ins such as Tapu Koko, Tyranitar, and Ferrothorn, as well as safely pivot in its teammates, notably hard to switch in wallbreakers like Zygarde-10%, Tapu Lele, and Volcanion. Defog can also be run as emergency entry hazard control for teammates like Tapu Lele, Mimikyu, and Blacephalon. Meanwhile, Toxic can be used to wear down the likes of Rotom-W, Tapu Koko, and Tyranitar that would otherwise check Yveltal, as well as put Pokemon like Galarian Moltres, Terrakion, and Groudon on a timer. Lastly, Knock Off should be considered, as it provides strong utility in removing items from bothersome walls such as Ho-Oh, Heatran, and Tapu Fini.

Choice Scarf Yveltal is mostly an utility-based set on balance and bulky offense teams. It excels at supporting its teammates by donating its strong attacking stats to the likes of Zeraora, Tapu Koko, and Zygarde-10% and also being able to pivot them onto the field safely thanks to U-turn. Yveltal can also switch into Grass-, Ground-, and Psychic-type attacks from foes like Rillaboom, Landorus-T, and Mewtwo to cover for its teammates. Defog support from the likes of Rotom-W and Landorus-T help with Yveltal's weakness to Stealth Rock, as taking chip whenever it pivots in is very unideal. Checks to special attackers such as Heatran, Assault Vest Tangrowth, and Gastrodon help deal with damage from the special side so that Yveltal can focus on physical attackers.

Life Orb sets can opt to be physical with Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Roost and Taunt, however the lack of a better Flying-type move than Dual Wingbeat makes these sets unreliable against teams with solid Dark-type switch-ins. Life Orb sets can run Focus Blast to hit Tyranitar super effectively and chunk it down to allow teammates like Tapu Lele and Galarian Moltres to clean up after it, however, the opportunity cost of dropping either sucker Punch or Heat Wave is usually too great. Physically defensive variants with moves like Foul Play, Roost, Defog, U-turn and Knock Off can be used to take advantage of Yveltal's good bulk.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Fairy- and Dark-types**: Pokemon that resist Dark-type moves and can survive its Flying-type moves as well such as Tapu Koko, Tyranitar, and Clefable are incredibly annoying for Yveltal to break through

**Chip Damage**: Since Yveltal is often running Life Orb or Choice Scarf, it is vulnerable to being worn down by recoil and Stealth Rock. Additionally, Yveltal likes to use its bulk to trade hits with foes, which is jeopardized if it takes too much damage.

**Offensive Pressure**: Speed receivers such as Volcanion and Tapu Lele, along with naturally fast threats such as Weavile, Pheromosa, and Tapu Koko, are able to threaten Yveltal out.

Offensive Yveltal is one of the strongest attackers in Godly Gift and it's one of the premier gods for offensive teams, being able to donate incredible HP, Attack, and Special Attacking stats and mixed attacking stats. Its own incredible offensive prowess lets it be a threat on its own though. this is redundant The combination of Dark Pulse and Oblivion Wing hits a plethora of metagame staples for supereffective damage, such as Necrozma-DM, Calyrex-I, Tangrowth, and Volcarona. However, it also this Yveltal also hits an overwhelming majority of the tier for at least natural neutral damage, notably being able to chunk common Flying- and Dark-type resistant Pokemon like balance walls such as Rotom-W, Heatran, and Corviknight. Taunt lets Yvetal be incredibly annoying, especially for make progress against more defensive teams, being able to shutting down Pokemon which rely on their status and recovery moves like Pyukumuku and Giratina Lunala why would you taunt a Lunala???, as well as denying the likes of Gastrodon, Vaporeon, and Ho-Oh recovery so that it can comfortably beat them. Heat Wave enables Yveltal to beat common Steel-types which that can withstand its STAB-moves, like Ferrothorn and Klefki, and also provides neutral coverage versus metagame threats such as Tapu Koko, Excadrill, or Bisharp. neither of these wants to switch in anyways However, Sucker Punch can also be used to give Yveltal the ability to revenge kill faster threats, like Dracozolt and Venusaur under weather, Rayquaza, and Kartana. If Sucker Punch is being run it should opt to run a Mild nature instead of Modest so as to not reduce Sucker Punch's damage. It Yveltal can also run a Timid nature as it outspeeds a plethora of common gods and their receivers, notably Rayquaza, Kyogre, Kyurem-W and Lunala. remove 2 gods from this list and instead name 2 receivers

Yveltal is an incredible god on Offense as its able to donate its impressive Attack and Special Attack stats to Pokemon that would appreciate them, like Mimikyu, Zygarde-10%, and Tapu Koko. Its high HP also lets it enable defensive Pokemon which appreciate a higher HP stat, like Rotom-W, Landorus-T, and Torandus-T. you already said this, this is redundant

Bearing a Choice Scarf, Yveltal becomes a solid Revenge Killer, being able to outspeed and check faster Pokemon such as Victini, Zeraora, and Kartana, while also outspeeding the faster gods and their receivers like Pheromosa, Mewtwo, and Zamazenta. Foul Play allows it to handle physical setup sweepers like Zekrom, Rayquaza, and Bisharp. Oblivion Wing lets it threatens other Pokemon while also providing it threatens common Fighting and Grass-types while also providing Yveltal with passive recovery. U-turn lets Yveltal bring in its teammates on the field function as a strong pivot and enables its teammates, notably, Pokemon receiving its offense stats like Zygarde-10%, Tapu Lele, or Nidoking. Dark Pulse acts as a solid Dark-type attacking option, especially against foes with a lower attack stat like Kyogre, Rotom-W, or Zapdos. Defog can also be run as an emergency hazard control for hazard weak teammates like Tapu Lele, Mimikyu, or Bisharp are there any hazard weak attackers that would better fit here?. Meanwhile, Toxic can be used to wear down the likes of < Rotom-W, Tapu Koko, and Tyranitar that would otherwise check Yveltal, as well as put Pokemon like Pyukumuku, Terrakion, and Opposing Yveltal on a timer > combine these two groups into one. If Yveltal doesn't run Dark Pulse, running Knock Off over Foul Play should be considered as it's a powerful Dark-type move that also removes items from foes like provides strong utility in removing items from bothersome walls such as Ho-Oh, Heatran, and Tapu Fini.

Choice Scarf Yveltal is mostly a utility-based set on Balance or Bulky Offense teams. However, It excels at supporting its teammates by donating its incredibly offensive strong attacking stats to the likes of Weavile, Tapu Lele bad examples, they don't really need much of a boost, or Zygarde-10% and while also being able to pivot them onto the field safely thanks to U-turn. It Yveltal can also switch into Grass-, Ground-, and Psychic-type attacks from foes like Rillaboom, Landorus-T and Mewtwo to cover for its teammates.

explain why i should use this set over another scarfer or over LO. are there any unique teammates for this set compared to the other?

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-type resists**: Due to Yveltal mostly wanting to click its Dark-type moves most often, Pokemon that resist them and that can survive its Flying-type moves as well like you use "like" a lot, try and change it up with "such as" sometimes Tapu Koko and Tyranitar, and Bisharp stop saying bisharp is a switchin 252 SpA Life Orb Dark Aura Yveltal Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Bisharp: 151-178 (55.7 - 65.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO are incredibly annoying for Yveltal to break through

**Chip Damage**: Relying on Oblivion Wing to recover its HP makes Yveltal vulnerable to getting worn down by Life Orb Recoil and small hits. Furthermore due to its weakness to Stealth Rock hazards are incredibly annoying for it. Yveltal's reliance on Oblivion Wing, along with its usage of Life Orb means that it is prone to being worn down over time if it is unable to heal. Its usage of Life Orb and Choice Scarf as well mean that it is also weak to Stealth Rock blah blah say how rocks r bad

**Offensive Pressure**: Faster Pokemon that threaten Yvetal like Kyurem-W, Volcanion, or Weavile can force Yveltal out or threaten to KO it. Speed-stat receivers such as Volcanion and Tapu Lele, along with fast threats such as Weavile and Tapu Koko, are able to threaten Yveltal out.

Taunt lets Yvetal easily make progress against more defensive teams, shutting down Pokemon which that rely on their status moves like Pyukumuku and Giratina, as well as denying the likes of Gastrodon, Vaporeon, and Corviknight recovery so that it can comfortably beat them. Roost can be used as a more reliable recovery option than relying on Oblivion Wing to provide reliable recovery. Heat Wave enables Yveltal to beat common Steel-types which can withstand its STAB moves, like Ferrothorn, Klefki, and Bisharp, while also being and is its best option against Tapu Koko. Sucker Punch can also be used to give Yveltal the ability to revenge kill faster threats, like Dracozolt, Venusaur under weather, and Kartana. Sucker Punch should be run with a Mild nature. Yveltal can also run a Timid nature, (comma) as it outspeeds a plethora of common gods and their receivers, notably Rayquaza, Kyogre, Volcanion, and Landorus-T.

Similarly, Fairy-types like Tapu Koko and Clefable also pose an issue for Yveltal, so running Steel- and Poision Poison-types to deal with them like Heatran, Kartana, and Nidoking Nihilego or, just make it Steel-types and Heatran + Kartana helps against them. Yveltal appreciates Defog support from teammates like Rotom-W and Landorus-T to offset its weakness to Stealth Rock.

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Scarf Yveltal is an excellent revenge killer, outspeeding and checking faster Pokemon such as Victini, Zeraora, and Kartana, while also outspeeding the faster gods and their receivers like Pheromosa, Mewtwo, and Zamazenta-C. Furthermore, thanks to Foul Play, it's a check to most physical setup sweepers like Zekrom, Rayquaza, and Bisharp. Oblivion Wing threatens common Fighting- and Grass-types while also providing Yveltal with passive recovery. U-turn lets Yveltal wear down switch-ins such as Tapu Koko, Tyranitar, and Ferrothorn, (comma) as well as safely pivot in its teammates, notably hard to switch in wallbreakers like Zygarde-10%, Tapu Lele, and Nidoking Volcanion.

It excels at supporting its teammates by donating its strong attacking stats to the likes of Zeraora, Nidoking Tapu Koko, and Zygarde-10% and also being able to pivot them onto the field safely thanks to U-turn.

Other Options

=============

Life Orb sets can opt to be physical with Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Roost and Taunt, however the lack of a better Flying-type move than Dual Wingbeat makes these sets unreliable into against teams with solid Dark-type switch-ins.

===================
