Pet Mod Z-Revival

approved by Ludicrousity

Z-Revival
At the start of generation 8, it was revealed that Mega Evolutions and Z-Moves would not be returning. This also included the signature Z-Moves that were given to select pokemon during generation 7. However, Kommo-o was given the move Clangorous Soul, which was a move that is very similar to it's signature Z-Move, Clangorous Soulblaze. The goal of this Pet Mod is to give pokemon that lost their signature Z-Moves in the transition from Gen 7 to Gen 8 a new signature move that is related to their signature Z-Move. These new signature moves will be designed with competitive play in mind.

Submission Rules: There are not that many restrictions on what you can submit as a signature move, but there are two main rules that you have to follow:
-The signature move must be relatable to the Signature Z-Move in some way. You cannot take a signature Z-Move that is normally Water type and turn it into a Grass type signature move without a good reason.
-They must be balanced. Even though the Z-Moves might have a high base power, it doesn't mean you can make a move 200 BP with no drawbacks.
Keep in mind that a signature move given to a pre-evolution will be usable by it's evolutions. And as with Pet Mods, you can only submit one of each Z-Move as a signature move (ex: you cannot submit two signature moves based Kommo-o's signature Z-Move)

Each Submission Phase will last around a week.

Type: Dragon
BP: -
Accuracy: -
Max PP: 8
Effects: The user loses 33% of their max HP to gain +1 Attack/Defense/Special Attack/Special Defense/Speed
Attributes: Sound
Reasoning: It takes the omni-boost from Clangorous Soulblaze while adding a hefty downside to prevent it from being too strong.

Voting Rules:
- When voting for each of the signature moves, vote for 3 moves in order of highest to lowest preference (1st Choice, 2nd Choice, 3rd Choice) by using the name of the person who submitted it.
- The move in the first slot will be given 3 points, the second given 2 points, and the third given 1 point.
- You may vote for your own moves, but they cannot be your first choice.
- If there is a tie, a tiebreaker vote will be conducted when the results are posted.
- Voting will last for around 3-5 days, but it could go for longer if not enough people have voted.

Slate 1: Let's Go!

The first slate will be the mascots of the Let's Go! games, Pikachu (theres two of them), and Eevee.
The signature Z-Moves that these pokemon had will be put in the hide tags below each pokemon's icon.

(note: this move will be usable by Raichu and Raichu-Alola as well)

(note: this move will be usable by all eeveelutions as well)

Type: Normal
BP: -
Effect: +2 Attack/Defense/Special Attack/Special Defense/Speed

(note: this move will only be usable by Pikachu in a hat)
Category: Special
Type: Electric
BP: 195
Effect: High Critical Hit Rate

Submissions will end a week from today on January 8th.

Let's start off strong!

This is my first post to this entire forum, so if I screw something up then I apologize.

Move Name: Evoboost
User: Eevee and Eeveelutions
Category: Status
BP: N/A
Accuracy: 100
Max PP: 16
Effects: Increases the user's two highest stats by one stage. Chooses stat based on the raw number. For example, a Timid Espeon with 252 SpA and 252 Spe would have the stat spread of 121/156/359/226/350, which would mean its Special Attack and Speed would rise. Another example is a Jolly Leafeon with 252 Atk and 252 Spe. So Leafeon normally has its highest base stats as Def (130) and Atk (110) with Speed at a middling 95, but here it would gain what is essentially a Dragon Dance.
Attributes: N/A
Reasoning: Making a useful move for each of the Eeveelutions that doesn't just work like a clone of Clangorous Soul would be more useful to the Eevelutions, I feel. They are also created with the idea of having many different routes to take in mind, so this could work along with that by allowing the player to influence the stat up they gain.

This is definitely one of my favorite Pet Mods that I've seen, really cool idea!

Move Name: Pikapocalypse
User: Pikachu, Raichu, Raichu-Alola
Category: Physical
Type: Electric
BP: 150
Accuracy: 90%
Max PP: 8
Effects: This move deals neutral damage to Ground-type Pokemon. The user's Attack, Special Attack and Speed are lowered 1 stage each after successfully using the move.
Attributes: Contact
Reasoning: Volt Tackle was cool at first, but since 120 BP recoil moves have become increasingly common since gen 4 and Catastropika failed to be terribly useful despite high power due a lack of Light Ball, we're still missing an interesting physical nuke for the Pikachu line. This attack retains the usual attributes of a Giga-Impact sort of move, but instead has a more V-Create style punishment and the bonus of hitting what would normally be a free Ground switch-in. Should make physical, Victini-like band sets worth considering even in higher tiers for Pikachu and its evolutions.

Move Name: Evorush
User: Eevee line
Category: Status
Type: Normal
BP: -
Accuracy: -
Max PP: 16
Effects: This user gains the "Evorush" status. If it is still on the field in three turns, it gains x2 in every stat and will only be able to use attacking moves.
Attributes: -
Reasoning: To maintain the fun of the original move and its uniqueness from Clangorous Soul, I wanted to keep the 2x as opposed to 1.5x omnniboost. Of course, this is hard to balance, but to be immodest I think I've done an alright job. The user has to survive three turns after using the move to actually get the boost, which can be difficult to do without Protect. The Assault Vest-type move restriction that comes into play after the boosts apply gets rid of the most potentially broken aspects, removing the possibility of Baton Pass, Recovery, or using a boosting move again. This also means that any set running Protect to actually the get the Evorush more easily will be limited to two usable moves, making those Eeveelutions a little less threatening when boosted. Would be best used as a late-game win condition when any and all Pokemon capable of overpowering or crippling your Eeveelution have been removed.

Move Name: 1000 Volts
User: Hat Pikachus
Category: Special
Type: Electric
BP: 95
Accuracy: 100
Max PP: 16
Effects: Against paralyzed opponents, this move will always be a Critical Hit.
Attributes: -
Reasoning: High crit moves have been done many times, and while guaranteed crit moves are fairly uncommon there's not much interesting about them when at a reasonable power level. This is the first conditional crit move, with the only similar effect in the game being the largely unused Merciless ability. 95 Power even with no paralysis chance makes it slightly better than the usual STAB of Thunderbolt, and the guaranteed crit on paralyzed opponents is a nice bonus that could potentially be deadly with a Light Ball and the right team support for parashuffling.

Move Name: Rainbow Bolt
User: Hat Pikachu
Category: Special
Type: Electric
BP: 80
Accuracy: 100%
Max PP: 8
Effects: This move will change into a type that hits the opponent super effectively. This selection is random if the opponent is weak to multiple types, but it will favor 4x weaknesses over 2x weaknesses. If the opponent is weak to Electric and other types, it will always be Electric type. Does not take abilities into consideration.
Attributes: N/A
Reasoning: While a large departure from the base move, this move does have flavor justification. In the animation of the Z-Move, Pikachu draws in multi-colored lightning bolts before attacking the opponent with the Z-Move. This move serves as an all purpose coverage tool for a pokemon that normally has pretty bad Special Coverage. Hopefully this move will make it more viable than it currently already is.

Move Name: Pika Meteor
User: Pikachu
Category: Physical
Type: Electric
BP: 100
Accuracy: 95%
Max PP: 16
Effects: Hits non grounded pokemon super effectively, no matter the typing.
Attributes: Contact
Reasoning: Pika Meteor allows for Raichu to hit pokemon that it would normally have trouble with, like the Rotom Forms. I made this move with Raichu in mind because Raichu-Alola will be getting it's own signature move in the future.

the rest should be coming soon, great subs so far!

Capped Pikachu: Zippy Zap Light-Speed Dash
Category: Physical
Type: Electric
BP: 60
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 16
Effects: Hits target, then gain Detect. Only usable on the first turn of switching in. Increments the Detect Timer.
Attributes: Priority +2. Contact.
Reasoning: Obviously based on Zippy Zap, Pikachu gets an "Evasion" when switching in. Being an electric type Fake Out (practicaly), Pikachu can chip opponents and then Volt Switch. (WIP)

If I may, I think this move may be better suited for regular Pikachu, for a few reasons. For one, because the selection is based on Let's Go, a move based on Pikachu's signature move in that game would go pretty well with standard Pikachu. The second is that Raichu would love this! It has a better 110 Spd to take advantage of the idea of using Volt Switch after it where Pikachu having 90 Spd without Choice Scarf (because of switching moves) wouldn't be able to outspeed too much at all, sadly. That's not to mention Alolan Raichu with Surge Surfer getting an even 700 Speed in Electric Terrain, which would synergize perfectly with Tapu Koko using Volt Switch!

This is just a suggestion of course but I thought I should bring it up because I thought it would be a good idea on OG Pikachu, even if he can't use it too well.

Hey! We are currently in the voting stage right now, so you cannot submit any more moves. Also, the pokemon you submitted for do not line up with the current slate. Right now, you can either vote for the pokemon in my post above or wait until the next slate to submit these moves. Hopefully I could help.
