ORAS OU Zard-Y and Banded Tyranitar Double Weather!

This team consists around the core of Mega Charizard Y and Choice Band Tyranitar. T-tar can pursuit trap pokemon that annoy Zard Y such as the lati twins. I built the rest of my team around this core.

Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast
- Roost

This mon is in my mind the best wallbreaker in ou. Literally in the sun, even fire resists get ohkoed or 2hkoed by STAB fire blast. Solar beam and focus blast provide great coverage alongside it, and roost is necessary to heal off the damage done by stealth rocks.

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 100 HP / 252 Atk / 156 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Stone Edge

Banded Tyranitar forms an aweso e core with Zard-Y, as it can trap many pokemon that bother it. the set is pretty standard, and provides checks to pokemon such as talonflame.

Excadrill @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide

I needed a hazard remover that synergizes well with the previous two, and I realized that excadrill is perfect! It benefits off of tyranitar's sandstorm and can easily sweep an unprepared team, along with providing rapid spin support.

Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Secret Sword
- Scald
- Calm Mind
- Substitute

Keldeo just checks so many mons. I deals with pokemon such as scizor and weavile and this set overall is great. Many people do not expect this set, and try to status it, while I set up a sub in their face and proceed to boost with calm mind! It provides yet another win condition as well.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 84 SpD / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Recover
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave

I needed a rocker that could deal with pokemon such as keldeo, and celebi fit! It is a status absorber that can set up hazards and then proceed to t-wave! It is just so bulky!

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Softboiled
- Flamethrower

In my opinion this is the best set in OU. I needed something to switch into dragon types, especially ones choice locked into something like draco meteor or dragon claw, or that had used outrage. This can lure bp scizor and land big damage with flamethrower!

I hope you liked my team. I am new to showdown so am looking for feedback! Thanks!

Hi. Nice team you have got.

Your team does what Standard Zard Y Dual Weather does pretty well already so here are some changes that I hope doesn't feel too big.

Here are some suggestions:

excadrill.png
SD > Rapid Spin; consider Jolly Balloon
Excadrill isn't a terrific spinner since it loses to most rockers. Also, you would really want to boost your attack so as to deal more damage in the short span of time if it's possible to set up. Also, you don't wanna lose momentum with your main sweeper by spinning. I want you to consider Jolly Balloon because your team itself is pretty weak to opposing Sand so you might want a way to deal with opposing Sand better. Plus you already have a wallbreaker in Band Tar so maybe LO isn't needed. It's fine though if you want to keep this set and just replace Rapid Spin.

Starmie > Celebi
celebi.png

Now that you need a spinner, I suggest Starmie as it is a decently reliable spinner. It also deals with Bulky Waters like Keldeo so you don't really lose your former resistances. I initially wanted to go with the Bold spread for greater defensive utility but taking on Keldeo is really important so I'll go with the standard Utility. Thunderbolt is chosen mainly to hit Volcanion but you can adjust to many other options such as Toxic, TWave, Psyshock and Reflect Type.

clefable.png
Rocks > CM
Now that you need a Rocker, Clefable is a good choice as it's so good at getting Rocks up against many things such as Sableye. Also, you already have a wincon in Keldeo so CM isn't needed. Flamethrower is fine on the Rocks set but you might want to consider Knock Off too. Also, I changed the spread to 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Bold because you won't be taking Rocks damage anyway so the HP EVs aren't needed.

charizard-mega-y.png
Timid > Modest
This is one of your better switch-ins to Sand Driller so you really need it to run Timid.

tyranitar.png
Max Speed
Since Rotom-W annoys your team a lot maybe you could run Max Speed. It's optional though, since you like the bulk to switch into Latis.

Here are the sets:
Excadrill @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance

or

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Thunderbolt

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Moonblast
- Flamethrower
- Soft-Boiled

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast
- Roost

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
And with that, I'm done with my rate. Hope I helped and have a nice day!

I'd love to rate your team, but I basically have the exact same ideas as Tinberz, so I'd just say follow what he says
However, I would personally keep your Tyranitar spread, as switching in against Latios/Latias is one of the main things it does, so you should be able to optimally take attacks. And Tyranitar shouldn't generally be taking on Rotom-W.
