National Dex Zard Y with Hisuian Lilligant

Team Pokepaste

Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Weather Ball
- Solar Beam
- Scorching Sands
- Will-O-Wisp

Charizard Y serves as a good special attacker with high special attack and drought boosted weather ball. Solar beam and scorching sands provides good coverage options such as heatran or alolamola. Wisp is good utility to catch physical attackers or to wear down tankier pokemon with status. Drought also provides the sun needed to activate lilligant's ability.

Slowking-Galar @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Sludge Bomb
- Toxic
- Chilly Reception

G Slowking is the main special wall of the team. Future sight is a strong psychic move that prevents the opponent from using certain mons in the upcoming turns. Sludge bomb has potential to poison the opponent as well as threatening the many strong fairy types in the tier. Toxic is useful utility that can stack damage on opposing walls. Chilly reception allows slowking to be a pivot and switch out on opposing special attackers safely bringing in an answer.

Lilligant-Hisui @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Solar Blade
- Close Combat
- Triple Axel
- Victory Dance

Lillligant is a strong physical attacker with potential to sweep. Sun from charizard allows for chlorophyll to activate making lilligant outspeed everything in the tier including mons with scarf or booster energy. The speed from chlorophyll allows lilligant to run an adamant nature instead of a jolly one giving it extra power in its attacks. Solar blade is strong STAB not requiring 2 turns in the sun with close combat and triple axel providing extra coverage. Victory dance allows lilligant to outspeed most mons have strong sweeping potential even without sun.

Corviknight @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn

Corviknight is the physical wall of the team. Rocky helmet gives chip onto opposing physical attackers allowing the rest of the team to clean up. Defog clears hazards especially stealth rocks with zard is really hurt by. U turn provides pivot for faster offensive mons to come in safely. Roost keeps corvikight's hp high and allows it to use more brave birds without fearing recoil.

Kingambit @ Leftovers
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Pursuit
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch

Kingambit is a staple of the tier and is a strong physical attacker. Knock off is good utility and removes items that opposing mons may depend on. Pursuit traps and kills opposing ghost and psychic types if Kingambit is sent in on them. Iron head kills fairy types as well as providing extra coverage against dark resists. Sucker punch serves as good priority allowing kingambit to kill faster threats.

Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Shadow Ball
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast

Tapu Lele is a strong special attacker and revenge killer. This team struggles with faster mons especially with speed creep this gen as sun cannot always be up for lilligant and charizard is now outsped by many of the common offensive threats in the tier. Scarf allows lele to outspeed these mons and revenge kill them or switch in and catch an opponent off guard taking a ko. Moonblast and psyshock are the main STAB combo with shadow ball and focus blast being good coverage or neutral damage if needed.

Hisuian Lilligant is cool. But this team has a glaring weakness to Electric-types like Raging Bolt and Tapu Koko since there's no Ground-type, which is exceptionally important for a Mega Charizard Y structure. Additionally, there's some antisynergy between Galarian Slowking removing Sun and Mega Charizard Y setting it, which makes piloting this build a lot harder than it should be. Finally, the main hazard removal here is Corviknight, and while Mega Charizard Y does help break through it, being hard walled by Gholdengo is far from ideal, especially when that Mega Charizard Y can't heal off the Stealth Rock damage its been taking, limiting it to only 3 switch-ins.

:charizard-mega-y: Mega Charizard Y, as said before, needs Roost to stay healthy, as well as to soft-check foes like Iron Valiant which could annoy teammates like Hisuian Lilligant or Kingambit.

:lilligant-hisui: Although Solar Blade is stronger, having no Grass-STAB outside of Sun is pretty bad, so I replaced it with Leaf Blade. You could also run Swords Dance over Victory Dance for better breaking power, but Victory Dance being more influential outside of Sun is pretty nice too. There's also the option of running Protective Pads over Life Orb to avoid status effects from Zapdos's Static or Moltres's Flame Body, but the drop in power is noticeable.

:kingambit: A very good partner to Hisuian Lilligant and Mega Charizard Y since it helps beat the Mega Lati@s twins, but I think Assault Vest is better suited for this offense team as opposed to Leftovers.

:corviknight: As said before, being walled by Gholdengo sucks for a hazard remover. Great Tusk overlaps with Hisuian Lilligant for being a Fighting-type while Iron Treads overlaps with Kingambit for Steel-type, which can be annoying into Tapu Lele and Heavy-Duty Boots Zamazenta structures respectively (or God forbid, both). However, Terapagos is a decent fit, since it still beats Gholdengo with Earth Power while being able to Rapid Spin away hazards for Mega Charizard Y. It also does well versus the Kanto Birds, Zapdos and Moltres, which Hisuian Lilligant and Mega Charizard Y hate fighting against.

:slowking-galar: Galarian Slowking doesn't help in wallbreaking aside from attempting to do Future Sight + Fighting combos with Hisuian Lilligant, which is far from ideal considering how it removes Sun. Instead, Raging Bolt helps more against the Rain MU, can act as a soft-check to Electric-types like opposing Raging Bolt or Tapu Koko, and benefits from Sun way more, being able to easily dispose of the Kantonian Birds, Corviknight and Toxapex for Hisuian Lilligant to abuse afterwards.

:tapu-lele: This last slot needs a Ground-type at this point but fitting one in is actually rather difficult, especially when running Great Tusk isn't the best idea. Choice Scarf Landorus-T is probably the best here since it acts as natural speed control, a pivot and can set hazards which are kinda needed for Hisuian Lilligant, Mega Charizard Y and Raging Bolt, while also soft-checking Kingambit and Heavy-Duty Boots Zamazenta for the team. Tapu Lele isn't horrible on Sun teams, but it can waste Sun turns by being locked into bad situations (i.e Psychic vs Gholdengo switch-in) which hurts the team more than anything.
