Zarude @ Leftovers
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Poison
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Power Whip
- Jungle Healing
Zarude swings into battle! With Swords Dance, Zarude is a powerful setup sweeper and check to Greninja, Excadrill, and Hoopa-U. Knock Off allows Zarude to remove Heavy-Duty Boots from Tornadus-T and Zapdos as well as Leftovers from Okidogi and Rocky Helmet from Cobalion. Power Whip can hit many of UU's Water- and Ground-types like Rotom-W, Rhyperior, and Sandy Shocks. Jungle Healing is crucial, as it allows Zarude to remove status conditions from Slowking and Serperior. Tera Poison allows for Zarude to resist Lokix's First Impression, Okidogi's STAB attacks, and Cobalion's Close Combat. Zarude struggles with Fighting-types such as Cobalion and Okidogi, so switch-ins to them such as Slowking and Skeledirge are greatly appreciated. Zarude also requires good checks to Lokix such as Cobalion and Zapdos, as it gets OHKOed by First Impression; in addition, they also provide pivoting opportunities with volt switch against Slowking, allowing Zarude to set up. In turn, Zarude can switch in on Ground- and Electric-type moves from Sandy Shocks, Thundurus-T, and Rotom-W.

Zarude Swings into battle! With Swords Dance, Zarude is a powerful setup sweeper, utilizing Swords Dance to potentially sweep. This is all good the stuff you've mentioned but talk a bit about why its a useful Pokemon outside of this, its a naturally bulky pokemon with a useful typing that lets it check things like greninja, excadrill, and hoopa. Knock off allows Zarude to remove Heavy-Duty boots from Tornadus-T and Zapdos, as well as removing leftovers from Okidogi and Rocky Helmet from Cobalion. Power Whip is able to hit many of UU's water and ground-types like Rotom-Wash, Rhyperior and Sandy Shocks. Jungle Healing is crucial, as it allows Zarude to remove status from Slowking, Tinkaton, wouldn't bother mentioning since status isnt necessarily on it and u dont have a great mu against it anyway and get very easily encored into soemthing bad and Serperior to name a few. Tera Poison allows for Zarude to resist Lokix's first impression dogi is the important mention here too and Cobalion's Close Combat. Zarude struggles with Fighting-types such as Cobalion and Okidogi, so switch-ins for them such as Skeledirge and Slowking are greatly appreciated. swap the mentions around probably. Zarude also requires good checks to Lokix such as Cobalion and Zapdos, as it gets OHKOed by First Impression. mention their ability to give you set up against pokemon like slowking with volt switch. In turn, Zarude is able to switch in on Ground and Electric moves from Sandy Shocks, Thundurus-T, and and Rotom-W.

Very demure, very mindful. QC 1/1.
