I found Brawl to be one of the weaker ones. As he explained near the beginning, he wasn't interested in it at all and it showed. Some of the games he was actually interested in but was let down by are a lot better.

Yeah, plus he is smart enough to realize Paper Mario + PMTYD >>>>> SPM

Though I dislike his blatant dislike of RPG's seeing as the RPG genre is one of my favorites
 
I like his word for MMORPGs. I forget which review it was, probably Tabula Rasa. "emmorpergers" XD
 
I agree with him on the MMORPG thing though seeing as like he said, it becomes a second job (ala World of Warcraft), though how can anyone dislike regular RGPs?
 
I like all of his videos except for the Brawl one. This makes me sound like a fanboy, but really, that was a piece of crap. He's usually funny and talks about the game in some way, but in that review he talked more about his drunken party and the Nintendo fanboys sucked rather than the actual game.

Yeah Ive been watching more since I made that post and you're right. Hey, any game review that makes me laugh and does not force me to read pages of tiny text is a winner in my eyes.
 
Hahaha, his reviews are so awesome. I only watched a few so far (Brawl, Resident Evil, Halo 3, Mario Galaxy.) I'll finish more of them later. He's pretty much right about all his reviews now that I think about it.
 
I've been watching these as they were posted on Kotaku. Generally, they've been freaking hilarious and really true about the games, but I have to agree that the Brawl one sucks ass.

I mean, he half-assed it and, even though there's PLENTY to tease SSB about, he goes on tangents that aren't even true. I was really disappointed.

They're generally good, but Brawl was a bit weak. I laughed whenever he said the shop that he got the game from, though.

How is the SSE repetitive? Do you battle a giant Darkerised character anywhere else? I rest my case :P

How was it not repetitive? Same enemies for the whole thing. The level design was bland (fits a Kirby game due to the abilities, but not Smash). Nothing took advantage of character traits. The stages looked like they were made in stage editor. Then they made you go through the entire thing again in the great maze. SSE was decent, but not that great. Could've been much better and much shorter!
 
i thought they all were pretty terrible. its like watching an episode of family guy minus the jokes.
 
Okay, I watched the Brawl and Super Paper Mario reviews. Quite frankly, I'd rather have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in my ear than watch any more of them.

Yes, he does seem like the Angry Video Game Nerd, only this guy's more irritable than pissed and seems uninterested in doing the review; that's why he talks so fast in order to get it over with.
 
haha, this guy does have an inflated, use starbucks wifi while writing a novel on my laptop while wearing tight jeans while looking like johnny depp, ego, but he does make good points, and we all can relate to him. except about brawl. he just sucks at brawl.
he made me laugh at about every review i watched, though.
also, I believe he sped up the video just a tiny bit.

I guess I don't like them because I can hardly understand what he's saying since I have neither the language nor the context of the games.
 
If he speeds up the video, that means he's uninterested in showing the review. In that case, he's doing a service to us by not making us listen to him as long. XD
